Okay yeah, I knew about that but I thought there would be a more accurate estimate after you ordered it.

Mine's meant to be 13th April and I have a feeling it won't happen.

Ok, lets keep this thread for *****ing about AW and let the other one to see phases of different orders.

1st to get an evil idea tonight... What if all of us that are already in the delay of the delay would decide for a specific time tomorrow or the day after tomorrow and call them up. In the same time . And, just to see that my evil plans don't stop at just annoying the hell out of them, all of us should ask for the same thing ie upgrade from normal delivery to express delivery for free (unless you already took that, can't remember what i chose lol). Anyhow, lets debate for a time and a thing to ask for (symbolic stuff dont start saying we should all get 2.8 extreme lol, just need to annoy them not to make them hang up on you). Also, if they say that they cannot do this everyone that gets "rejected" by the CS guy ask to contact the manager/supervisor. If he is unavailable make sure you ask the CS to open a ticket so that the supervisor calls you back in 24 hours.

So.... so... who's up for it and when?

I think you guys need to get away from thinking about your order for a little. I think once you receive your notebook you'll forget all about this.

Easy for me to say this because I'm receiving my order today! confirmed with DHL that it will be here by this afternoon.

 

Very easy to say you ordered 4 weeks ago, we ordered 9 weeks ago . We'll give them hell .

PS also yours isnt being built in Europe so maybe your guys are competent

 

I ordered from UK website so my unit was built in Ireland. I think because I am in Australia, my order must have some how been prioritised.. I feel a little guilty that I am receiving my unit ahead of you guys...

I just hope that my unit doesn't turn out to be a lemon. I took on a bit of a risk, warranty wise, for a good price (over $1000AUD cheaper from there) so I just hope that it will pay off!

 

Hehe, don't feel guilty is not your fault. I'd be curious if your unit says assembled in UE though .

 

Funny old phase game !

Ok so this morning I checked my order status and was shocked to find that I had gone back a phase! Back to Phase 3 from Phase 4 !

In a rage I called Alienware and asked them what the hell is going on !, The customer service rep said that my order was in fact in production and could be shipped within 5 days - obviously I dont believe that

Anyway just checked again and now Im in Phase 5?

Can they just change the phase to keep you sweet ?

 

only time you really need to start worrying is when you move back to phase 2 and they ask you to pay again.

 

Don't worry, same thing happened to me today . Phase 3 at first and now 5. Seems their systems always move you back before phase 5. And wow, shipped in 5 days would be awesome to me

 

welli went to phase 9 yesterday and got my shipment dhl code and it arives between 9-6 tommorow!!!

finally we get it lol

I got mine on Friday, no cracks, no overheating, plays cohof, crysis on all high perfectly, boots in seconds, graw2, everything runs perfect
no errors, no loud fans, no crashes or bugs, no downclocking issues after long play, left it running for 11 hours, no issues, all buttons work fine, all lights work fine, including the lightpipe around the screen wooo!!!

 

Cool!Gratz sand have as much fun with it as we will

 

*quick post for those hanging in there with the phase game as i have been for so long* (will save rest for owners lounge)

I only have my crudy phone cam but heres my beast from a dodgy 2mp cam

oooh and the screen doesnt wobble and no cracks or scratches, and no wierd sounds when opening the lid, all feels vert sturdy and firm like the m9700 did. apart from after gaming for a while the laptop is soo quiet! SSd helps but you barely hear it, and def dont when playing only when it gets hot after lots of crysis but no slowing down or jaggering or anything.

I hope everyones is like this from now on

 

So has anyone progressed through phases or recieved their alien?

me still in phase 5 for 14 days now
hopefully a new shipment of screens will be in today and not like the email said on the 14th otherwise ive got another week in phase 5

Ordered the m15x on Friday but still in Phase 1, but they don't work weekends. Anybody know if changing your order delays the shipping date (wanna change the warranty & processor to 2.5ghz)?

 

changing the processor may delay things or may even speed things up.
as you only ordered on friday i think it shouldnt make much difference as long as they have still got some 2.5s in stock.
good luck on going from phase 1 to phase 3.
you will have to prove who you are by email or fax and also check with your bank that they do not block the transaction to protect you from fraud.

has anyone out there ordered the non penryn cpu when the site first came up? because changing to the 2.6 penryn not only improved my cpu obviously but sped up the phases and works out £60 cheaper than what i payed in feb for the basic 2mb cache series crazy!

 

Not fair !! I ordered on the 15th of Feb and I only moved to Phase 6 today

Phase 2 this morning, they said the shipping date is still 24th Apr despite being out of stock of one thing which I guess is the cloth sleeve thing

 

They should get the velvet bag on the 9th. I'll call in on the 9th and let you know if they got them or not if you don't receive anything from them.

 

It is ridiculous really, the free velvet bag's which they are out of stock, out of all the things.

 

i suppose that will delay me longer as well.

 

Received the system today, not had much of a chance to play around with it ( as im at work ) but I think I might be going home a little early today !!

checked the casing and there is no signs of a crack, their is 1 tiny nick on the back but I think I can live with that

 

Oh yeah, jumped from Phase 2 yesterday to Phase 5 today.

Yay even more people getting their orders before me !! I have been in Phase 6 for 4 days now, I think that is more then enough for any competent tech to diagnose and correct any problems.AW is doing extensive testing and retesting on all systems. I asked how come others flew through phases to which I was told " We just want to make sure that both you and AW are 100% satisfied with the system we send out". I just hope I get it eventually. My m15x is turning out to be an urban legend. " Have you heard about Mortis' AW m15x laptop?" "No it does not exist"............

 

Some people are just born lucky. So when did the money get taken from your account?

 

There are people really lucky indeed, im waiting on phase 4 for already a month and a week, for god sake, isnt it too much? alienware really could use some extra goblins from santa claus or whatever. i've requested a new estimated shipping date, and ive said if it was after 24th april i would like to cancel and get my money back, simple isnt it? lets see if they hurry it up or not, Alienware service 0/10
