Some of these spec's are not complete or accurate, I imagine. I can't see the M18x NOT having Sli'd 780m's - but it's not showing as such, as yet.

It should be an oversight. Offering IPS for the 14 but not for the 17 would be...

    strange.

Yeah, my browser has this feature as well, I've just never used it :)

Magnesium alloy frame is reinforced with durable aluminum alloy shell LCD and helps to protect the internal components.

    17.3 inches (439.42 mm) WLED HD + (1600 x 900) Anti-glare TN 220 Nit display
    17.3 inches (439.42 mm) WLED FHD (1920 x 1080) display, anti-glare TN 300 Nit

No IPS at Korean site, but anti-glare at least.

Edit: And up to 4 SSD drives

Looks like they're all a hybrid of aluminum/plastic. Looks pretty cheap honestly, I'm not liking the look of this design even though I really want to.

I can already tell that the M14x is going to be so expensive, WAY out of my budget. But I guess I can only hope for the best though. Also does anyone know the dimensions? I cant find anything on the Dell site for the size of the machine.

How far off is the South Korean laptop prices compared to U.S.? The mid-configuration M14x R3 with the 1080p screen, i7 4800MQ processor and the GTX 765M is $2000 U.S. Dollars with current conversion rate.

If you load the Japan web ordering page and let Google Chrome do its translation magic, you will see what it comes with. And, the 4930MX CPU @ 4.3GHz and 780M SLI is there. In fact, there is no lower spec option available for order other than 780M SLI, at least in Japan.

All I can say is, patience.

The M14x is really what I want, which is a FHD display and a strong gpu. I don't need the top GPU but the 765m is the 3rd top nVidia card.

On the specs the 17 comes already overclocked, will the 14 have the capability of OC? or maybe the cooling is not good enough for OC?

I don't see the link to the new M18x posted yet. So here you go:

    New Alienware m18x | Dell

Or just use the same link as M17x or M14x and change the number to M18x in the link.

No sub-woofer for the M17x again?

Also, it's interesting that the 14's video mentions IPS, but not the 17's. Not sure I like the implications of this.

Out of those three, the Alienware 17 looks the best. The 14 and the 18 are too thick. The overall design is good, but not as impressive as the M17x/M15x when they first came out. Speaker design is just lazy and no IPS or UltraHD screen is a letdown. I just wish they got rid of the 18 and just have the 17 have the option for a dual GPU. It has more than enough space for it. But that's just me.

According to the Korean site, it is an integrated HDMI in/out port on the new m17x.

And a anti-glare (matte?) WLED display - still only 1080p though.

Only mentions up to 16GB ram, though - I hope there are still 4 slots :(

And it looks like you can fit 4 256GB SSDs in it (from the front page), so mSATA + 3x 2.5in bays?

Info from Alienware 17 and google translate

Here's me hoping that the IPS is standard because of the fact that it is matte by default.
