Pulled the trigger this morning!!
Scored a 21% discount + Free Shipping on original cost ($4,060) using some codes I was given here. Whole order was done through their Online Chat; just had to confirm a couple of things over the phone at the end.

Hey Flynn, can I have the representative's email as well?
I'm planning on ordering an M17x right after E3. -
-
-
Did you call him?
Edit: Actually now that i think about it, i gave you his contact info just before the weekend, he hasn't been in the office for a few days. Guaruntee he gets back to you however -
Thanks. -
How are you folks convincing the reps that you work for Boeing? -
May I too? -
Hey flynnaz, can I get that rep contact?
(That rep must be having a great time) -
-
So far, the best I've gotten is $1171 for an M11x with...
•Core i7
•2GB RAM
• 160GB HDD
• 1 Year Premium Warranty
• Alienware Orion Neoprene Sleeve
•Extra 90W AC Adapter
•iomega External DVD Writer
Anyone have any suggestions? Is this a good deal? I'm planning on throwing in my 4GB of HyperX from my other laptop, and also an Intel G2 off NewEgg, so Hard Drive and RAM aren't very important to me. -
=/ my m11x has
core i7, 4gb ram, 160gb hdd, and BT for 873 TOTAL.
Tax was $50, so my subtotal (after coupons) was $823.
I got the boeing 21% off discount, and I used a $100 off coupon. You should really try to get that boeing discount-- these are expensive computers, and a percentage discount takes off a large chunk. I'm saving $347 dollars!
My order is supposed to be 1,169 + 50 tax = $1120.
Good luck! -
If you guys want to keep talking about obtaining discounts that you do not qualify for, by all means go ahead. We've got the infraction button ready
.
-
If you don't work for Boeing then it is fraud.

Most of this discussion seems to have been about sales reps located in the US, is it possible to buy through them and get it delivered in Europe?
If not, does anyone have experience in regards to dealing with european sales reps? I'm looking for a rather expensive system, so cutting even a few % off the deal would be awesome -
I need to save all the money I can. -
Does anyone know that companies get EPP, I saw that AAA gets it in the US I'm in canada, does that mean CAA gets the same?
-
Also, that representative must be rich by now lol. -
if anyone could send me a good reps info it'd be greatly appreciated
-
So I've got two reps holding at $1156...
on this M11x.
i7-640UM
1 Year Premium Warranty
2 GB Memory
160GB Hard Drive
Bluetooth
Alienware Orion Neoprene Sleeve
External DVD Burner (the iOmega one)
Extra 90W AC Adapter -
Just an FYI for anyone that can use it. Bing is back to giving 5% cashback for Alienware systems ordered from Dell.
-
It doesn't stack with EPP unfortunately. I used it at a time when they overcharged you on a retarded configuration on EPP and the Bing discount was 10%.
Used Bing cashback 3 times so far, and while it may take a little bit to get the confirmation (on one of my order they didn't send the confirmation until I sent them an e-mail), they were pretty fast to fix it and I had really good experience with them overall. -
If you use your Dell DPA account to purchise a system via EPP, does the 3-4% discount applies. I've seen the option on the Home site but not on the EPP? Thank you.

Please excuse my double post from the other thread, but I really need to have an answer by tonight/tomorrow morning.

I need a Bad Company 2 benchmark to make up my mind.
-
I've been looking at the M15x for my University laptop, and with the configuration I've thrown together it comes out to just under 1700 CAD and was wondering if it would be possible to haggle them to under 1400 CAD?
Also, how is it you guys are getting the free bags and such? Do you just come right out and say: "I will only close this deal if you throw in the backpack." or something? -
Great Thread! Sticky this!
-
I have 50 dollars off my system so far from that email coupon, any advice for haggling a canadian rep? Or canadian coupons? or just a way to get Next day shipping?

Bad company 2:
YouTube - Battlefield Bad Company 2 playing on Dell Alienware m11x, highest settings + no AA / AF
This is with the core 2 duo CPU, with I7 it should be around 22FPS avg. -

Hey guys, alright, so I'm in the process of getting the lowest price I can on an M15x.
With the Core i5, 4 Gb RAM, 5850, 250 7200 rpm hard drive, 9 cell battery, 1600x900 screen, I got the price down to $1400 (with 10% off EPP, $100 off coupon, and $30 of from a sales rep (I think this was DPA account savings)).
Is that a good price? Or should I try going for more? I had one rep willing to go $25 cheaper, but I lost her call. Oh well, I'll keep trying tomorrow.
Anyway, any suggestions you guys have for haggling off even more? I'm trying to get the price down to $1300/$1350. Oh, and I got NBD shipping for free right away. Vacation trick.
Anyway, I do have a question for you guys. Every time I call and ask for a USA representative, I get an overseas guy/gal who just speaks better English. Not that I have anything against it, but US reps can get you more off I heard.
Anyway, I know they're quite clearly not connecting me to USA representatives. Could you guys tell me where I can call to get US-based reps? Also, if anyone has a Dell Rep's contact info that they've had a good experience with, let me know, just pm me. I would appreciate it! -
keep trying and always get a quote each time emailed to you for you to work from there with other reps. good luck
-
I was just wondering something. Are there reps from Canada? Or will I have to deal with outsourced reps?
-
Just wondering how you guys think this quote looks?

I though i told her this was what I wanted, damn good catch! IF it was dual 5870's, what do you think of that quote? -
I just got off the phone with a dell rep who claims the biggest discount he can give me is $50 on my fasttrack M11x. So now that I've got the price down to $999 + tax is there anything else I can do? Any coupon codes I can use?
http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&oc=dkcwnft&s=dhs -
@krazymych: When I called I got a foreign rep who transfered me to a US based alienware rep as soon as I mentioned that I was looking to buy an M11x. I can PM you his number if you'd like.
EDIT: Sorry about the double post. I swear krazymych posted after my first post, but now it's gone, lol. -
As a reminder, coupon code sharing/discussion is no longer permitted. See the forum rules.
Thanks all. -
No has answered this yet, so excuse me for repeating myself, I just want to make sure everyone can see the question.
Can anyone tell me how to get legit USA-based representatives on the phone? I mean, ones with English names and all? Not just people who speak English well? I ask not because I have a problem with the overseas reps I talk to, but because USA reps are supposed to help you get better discounts.
Everytime I call the EPP or something like that, and ask for a Dell US-based representative, they switchboard operator goes, "ok, let me get you into contact with one of our US reps." Only problem is, they all speak very good English, but their names are quite obviously overseas-based. I want to get contacted with people who are in America, not because I am biased against other people, but because I simply want the best deal. I mean no offense, and hope no one gets offended.
Like I said, if anyone has the info of a good rep they worked with, let me know please, through pm -
