I cannot thank you enough. I want to rep more but it wont let me.
I can't believe some people still had the nerve to haggle with him. I am psyched waiting for this rig. -
Man, you ordered after me and your EDD is sooner than me. I am a sad panda. *crawls to my corner*
-
The desktop is a lot faster to build apparently. -
Any chance I could get his info Maynard? I will be ordering the m18x along with you so I am in no hurry.
-
My M14x build came to $1638 before tax/shipping. With the discount it was $1146.60 before tax/shipping. So 30% off. -
So what exactly is this "farmers" discount? Farmer as in livestock and barn animal farmer? Or is it some kind of insurance?
-
I'm not able to send anymore customers to my guy. He is overloaded currently with my people that I referred so I would recommend going through THX if you can!

edit: I was able to work out a purchase with someone's rep - and it went great. Don't haggle people, just plan what you want with them - and let the specialist work out a deal. You can haggle with any rep, but when you're working with a specific person...don't take advantage of that fact. Out of respect for a mutual colleague, I won't share the rep's information with anyone. In fact, what rep?! I called Dell and made the deal myself! Yeah! I told them...
Me - "Look you kids, I want this laptop for this price, or I'm going back to Apple!"
Rep - "Oh noes sir! Please don't do that! We'll give you whatever price you want!"
me - "Boogie."
That's how it is done. -
if you can't take advantage of this deal, just call em up and say you're looking a sager. go to xoticpc.com or lpcdigital.com (last time i hecked, they were cheapest for sagers) and configure either the 8170-s1 with the specs you're looking at.. it'll be significantly cheaper. hopefully they'll pay ball with price matching

Hey guys thinking about getting a M17X R3.
When i get 5 posts can you send me a PM THX1138-2. -
thanks! -
AAFES is still 22% for those of you who are curious. And yes, they have both the 11xR3 and the 14x. No 18x yet though.
-
-
Its a site that offers discounts for the people who is in the military.
-
I wish to buy an alienware m17x R3 before discount ends but MaynardLD50's sales rep. is not replying my mail
-
This Farmers Insurance 'deal' is a Dell EPP/MPP Program offer to customers of Farmers Insurance. If you dont have Farmers Insurance, you do not qualify. This is also the case with military purchases, if you qualify you will know. If you do qualify, its very simple to review current promos open to your eligible segment - contact a EPP/MPP rep and ask.
Discussion on bypassing requirements (those not eligible) is not permitted - see forum rules. This includes using the forum Private Message system. Do not discuss how to bypass these programs. Either you are eligible or you aren't - that simple.
Questions on this can be sent to me via PM - do not reply here asking about this.
Thanks. -
Kunekaden's dell rep worked out great. +rep~!!
If someone needs the reps info he said he can continue to offer my deal for the next 48 hours. -
what did you buy? how much discount did you get for your alienware?? -
THX1138-2's dell rep was really helpful and very kind!
My M17X R3 is on the way! yuppiiiieeeee
Thanks to all farmers and to gentle sales rep. of Dell!
If you wish to buy an alienware with a great discount, 28th April is the last day as dell rep. told me!
I can give you the rep's info, PM me.
-
Forgot to specify that I purchased from a Canadian rep
-
Finally bought an M11x-R3. Actually 2 (my brother-in-law jumped on it too).
I managed to score a sweet deal through a rep of my own. I spoke with some of the reps advertised here, and although they were extremely nice, they could only give so much. In one case I was required to spend at least above $1,400 to get some deals.
Anyway, this other guy was genius. I got the base model (which is what I wanted) with a steep discount of about 28%. I didn't even need to haggle. I just casually mentioned what my budget was and the offers I had found and he took it from there.
I got the red one too!
Oh, and I almost forgot. I got a $75 Dell Gift Card...Attached Files:

Drop me a PM.

Hi just wondering, if you use the MPP or EPP could you still get a rep to discount the price on top of the savings you get already? Or is it possible for the rep to give you a good discounted quote then apply your own coupon to it to get an even better deal? Or is it like the one coupon policy and you can't stack discounts?
-
Can anyone refer me to a canadian sales rep to buy a M14X? I'm new so PM is not available.
-
Sounds like people are getting good discounts, even if they're impatient *cough* x3po *cough* lolI'm happy you were able to get a good rate and discount. My contact is trying to reach as many people as he can as fast as possible. As you can imagine he has phone calls coming in constantly, plus has to keep up with the people I referred to him. I'm happy that people got good deals! Nothing better than feeling like you got a break on something.
-
Hey Maynard, I never got your reply from that rep you were going to hook me up w/(thanks anyway bro), but luckily this other rep (great guy) gave me a huge discount.
M11x R3 - i7-2617m/GT 540m 2gb, 750 HDD 7200rpm, Soundblaster X-Fi, Intel N-6205, Bluetooth 3.0, and the most important of all is the 2yr warranty.
Total came out $1,604 shipped/taxed and only paid $1,302 shipped/taxed
Overall huge discount considering it comes with 2yr warranty for peace of mind. -
Greetings everyone!
Been reading the forums here for the past couple of days (found it when looking up information concerning the m14x). I am ready to execute a purchase, and wanted to drop a line in case someone was able to help with pointing me in the right direction for a great deal. I am an EPP member (US Army Civilian), but because I am not military - I don't qualify for the AAFES discount. And though I could probably pull it off with my uncle (retired), I can't use my DPA with AAFES.
So looking for any help that may be available.
Thanks greatly!
Charles. -
As far as I know, today is the last date for that discount. So you need to be fast to reach me.
-
Will continue to see what I can offer the forums, and again, appreciate the response you provided.
Take care.

Wow this is an amazing thread.
Hey guys, I'm going to college this fall and I've been planning to buy a m14x as soon as possible. If anybody can direct me to a rep, I could not be happier.
Thanks!
EDIT: Just read the part about jerks eating the reps up alive. Looks like I'll have to be pretty active on this forum for a little while to gain some credibility
I know maynard's rep is overloaded so if THX1138-2 or x3po you guys could help me out, I would truly be grateful.
Basically, I am shooting for a m14x (basic specs to save money) that I'll take to college on a good deal. I hope I can stack my dad's TAMU epp on it as well. -
Looking around for a good rep to deal with as well for buying a m14x. Haven't been around this forum for a while since I've been a mac guy for the past few years.
-
Damn, just tried my luck with a rep using the chat option and got nowhere. Maynard was gracious enough to hook me up with his reps info but I'm looking to buy this asap and I have a feeling I'll be waiting a while until I hear back from him since he's so busy.
The rep on chat said that he couldn't save me anything! I told him I was waiting to hear back from another rep that saved my friend a few hundred and he still wouldn't budge.
Hopefully I hear back from Maynard's rep soon. I have no patience what so ever. -
Sales reps of Dell on chat can not make any discount, I tried it 4-5 times but no result. You can find some discount coupons for some models of alienware on internet. For example, I had a $350 OFF Alienware M11x Laptop $1459+ (not avaliable for R3 edition) and a $450 OFF Alienware M15X laptop $1,600+. And you need to follow special discounts ( military, employee, student, farmers discount etc. ). These are avaliable for USA only. so you need to be living in USA or you can buy it to name of one of your friends living in USA (for billing & shipping). they do not ship outside of USA.
-
My contact, fortunately but unfortunate for some, got way overloaded from the business I sent him. If some of the people I sent his info to have not heard back from him yet, but still are shopping he said he would try to contact you on Monday.

thx, very nice you are helping the student community hahahaha -
It's also all about finding a good rep too. A quarter of my M14X purchase was discounted (offer expired) by an amazing rep earlier this week.
-
I am a member of an epp program through work, but it is nothing like the 25-30% discounts. If you call, and live in the US, can the reps discount that much? I don't qualify for the military or farmers discount, but I am looking at getting a version of the m14x that exceeds $1500. Anyone know of any great discounts coming in May? I'm still deciding on which laptop to buy, but would like to purchase this month.
