If I were you, I would just clarify what happens if they don't manage to fix your problems! Given that, by the time you receive the new laptop, you've been way past the 14 days for a refund!

thats what they told me on the phone, all the documents where printed out, and yr system is going into production tomorrow.
She only stated that sometimes the computer does that. knocks u down to phase 3 then up to 6 7 etc

well btgman, thats the best support report I have ever heard for alienware especially since they are doing free shipping too. I am flabbergasted. maybe they have realised they are going to have to do something special or all those orders they have started building will be cancelled leaving them with unsold units and a big debt to the suppliers.
so they must be reading these forums

I got a tumbler thing for compensation, I think they were trying to buy me lol, trying to stop my complain emails
. Anyway in a funny note I'm using the tumbler for a week now and the computer is still somewhere on the road
. They made me chose from a list of stuff like headphones, accessories but I need hot coffe since I'm overworking these days

I was going to post a few pics (low quality - taken with my phone, I'm afraid). Anyone know how I do it? lol.

if it has take the card out and pop it in your card reader on the side of your computer.
if it hasnt then you will need to load your phones software to your computer with the disc that came with the phone. once youve done that you can plug your phone into your computer using the usb cable that came with the phone and this will open a folder where you should be able to see your pictures.
then all you do is drag from one folder and drop it in your my pictures folder.
then below this box you are typing in is a box that says mannage attachments. click on this box and it will open another one. there are 5 boxes that say brouse,when you click on the first box it should open the folder that is on your computer with your pictures in. double click on a picture and then click on the link that says upload. and your done.
trust me it sounds more complicated than it is.

Btw, my m15x plays Crysis really well - not all High settings with native res but it still looks great and runs smoothly. It can handle BF2142 at native res will max settings and 8xAA without breaking a sweat. It really performs well for a 15" laptop. If it wasn;t for the crappy build quality it would be amazing. -
This dhl shipping is really as slow as a horse and cart thing lol. Or maybe the status on the website is slow to update. Anyhow 3rd day in shipping and the status is Sorting/Loading in Dublin... Maybe I was too optimistic to think it might arrive Friday or Saturday...

ive just rang aw are was told that all testing on the chasis is complete and our laptops are now actually in production, rather than just being in phase 5 for fun i guess. i was told 6-10 days from today, yet on monday i was told i would recieve it beginning of next week. its all fun and games isnt it, haha

Moved back to phase 3 today after almost 4 weeks in phase 4. So does this mean that I'm going to jump to 5 quickly or is this just some new crap from AW?

Just a word of advice, when you talk to them ask them to upgrade your shipping to the fast one if you did not do it from the beginning. I didn't think about it until it was too late (for me) but it would really pay off seeing how the normal delivery times look like. And is the least they can do after having you guys waiting for so long.

Very good advice , I totaly agree with you.
I 've just called DHL to know exactly where was my ( our ) laptop ( strated on April 1st afternoon ) .
He confirmed to me that it was "on the road" (?) and the estimated time for delivery was 4 days in total but be careful, they don't deliver anything on Saturday .
On the other hand , he said that if the laptop arrived at a point of DHL , I would be allowed to pick up it by myself , even on saturday ( in Paris , for you I don't know). The only thing you have to ask for is your contract number ( that is different than the N° given by AW ) .

I'll give them a call and check things out. Is strange that they don't deliver on Saturday, I remember getting the last dell I ordered on Saturday morning... I remember because Saturday is the only day I am at home lol.

regarding to saturday deliveries , per haps it 's used in Swizerland but in France not ( for DHL ) -
Just been on the phone for 15 minutes with CS..
I don't know how you guys managed to get a priority or some sort put on your machine - I even told them I'm going away on the 15th April and I need the notebook by then to which they started talking about the large backlog.. etc.
Also apparently they've run out of velvet bags so they can't ship the laptops without those - they should be receiving them on the 8th although I don't know how much of this is the truth.
Anyway.. so it sucks.
EDIT: You know, they're very well trained these CS guys. I started asking about prioritizing my notebook, she's put me on hold to see what she can find out about that and when she came back she started saying they're out of briefcases! WTF ?!
I really hate them at the moment !
Meh.. I'll phone them again tomorrow. -

I ordered mine on 5th February so one time when I called the guy told me that some m15 were in production and I was on hold and then I made him a huge scandal about building orders coming 1 month later than mine while i'm on hold so I got a high priority since he couldn't find out what screw up in their building cue. Also I was "lucky" enough that one of the CS i talked to in February forgot to forward my changes to production and billing department so I called and asked to talk to her and she was nice and sorry for the mess so she put me on priority as well lol. So i got a double priority.

All i did was shouted .....i wanted to know what my new shipping date, or i would cancel, then the woman told me she would put me on priority.
I said no to that, as i didnt think it was fair as people ordered the start of feb,
Im on phase 5 now, If i move to 6 and 7 etc, i Believe i will get my m15x in the next few weeks -
Ordered mine on 8th March - payment taken out of my account on 12th March.
And still in phase 4. They could at least put it in phase 5 to make me feel better. I think I was too nice on the phone too.

I called AW in the afternoon in "When will I get it and Shipping Upgrade" mode. I had to wait 10 mins for an agent to answer. She basically told me not that its in production it will take 6-10 days to ship out. I then asked her when I would get it and she said maybe end of next week ????
I the told her how disappointed I am with their service and how people who ordered after me have already got theirs or are a couple of phases ahead. She replied that I dont know I havent been informed about it and then some crap about how mine was one of the first few orders and I should get it soon, etc. I then asked about a shipping upgrade and she said I would have to pay extra and by the time they process the payment it would anyway ship a few days after my est shipping date. I said that they should do it for free as a gesture of goodwill to which she started with some nonsense about how if I had waited for so long, a few days wouldnt make a difference. I told " Yes it will, upgrade my shipping biatch!!" She still refused saying that when I ordered it was mentioned that it could take time due to lack of parts or whatever. I then told her that even if it was mentioned, 2 months is just too long and other manufacturers would have made me wait, AW was charging premium rates and offering sup par service. CS lady said that other people who couldnt wait had cancelled and if I wanted I could as well. I said " I dont want to cancel, I want my m15x, properly assembled and sent out as soon as possible, UPGRADE MY SHIPPING BIATCH !!!!" CS " Sorry cant do that ". Me : " **** !! Ship it out by next week or Ill cancel !!" CS "I will tell the engineers mumble mumble mumble " Me : " Whatever, I know youre just a CS person but its your job to convey the customers dissatisfaction over to engineers/management. GIMME A SHIPPING UPGRADE BIATCH !!! Bye! ".......... One sec UPGRADE MY DAMN SHIPPING BEEEYAATCH!! Have a nive day"

Finally moved to phase 5 after almost a month in Phase 4. Then I last talked to a CS last week she said I would be there in 7-8 April, but it seems I went there faster. Now I just hope that they will ship it next week...
By the way, I didn't receive any e-mail from them yet. Should I get one saying that I am in production? -

phase 5 on 25th march and their ive been ever since. so you should get one but dont hold your breath as CS says not to rely on the phase game.

im gonna ring back up tomorrow, everytime i call, i get some woman, who, ok, is pleasant on the phone, but doesnt seem to know anything apart from what is in front of her. she cant give me an est ship date, and says that even though i went into phase 5 on monday just gone, it could still take 10 days for me to recieve it, in which casethats another 2 weekends without it. i find it hard to get pissy on the phone, its not in my nature, but this is starting to get to me now. i really wanted/want an alienware, and have done for years, and now ive ordered it, i am starting to think it might have been a big mistake!!!

they have had the chassis on order for so long now, that the rest of the parts should have been in stock ages. They are still lying.
I do like it how they at least try and keep customers now, when I threatened to cancel I just got an "ok then" response as if they expected it anyway
grrrrr. even though I am not getting one they still wind me up! -
when i last spoke to CS i asked about the logo and they said they had not received any reports of it not lighting up. i heard of 3 now that dont work. -
maybe you need to switch it on in the bios option ???

ive just had my becoming daily phone call to AW, ive been told that ive been in phase 5 for over 4 days due to them having a queue, no surprise there, and also the testing stage has been increased to make sure everything is ok. i was told that i should get mine next week, i said, well, i was told last week id get it this week, he said it should definately be next friday at latest. so, i guess at least their testing them a bit more now anyway, and hopefully by monday i should have jumped a few stages

original shipment date was today.
i have no problem that it was going to be delayed due to the backlog of orders but when you start getting conflicting stories from CS every time i call is what really gets my goat up.
received email on 25th that m15x was in production
been in phase 5 since 25th march
was gauranteed that one of the small shipment of chassis that was received before the main large shipment had been allocated to me.
rang CS today and you guessed it....we have just sent you an email....

something very wrong going on there. by the time you get your unit, 1st May launch date for the clevo 15" 8800mgtx system will have arrived!!! and according to some posts its £500 cheaper!!! -
