so you mobility modded the drivers, and then installed from there? What exactly did you do to install? ...and 8.12 isn't known for WoW problems..but hey, it can happen. Are you sure 8.12 installed properly?

my touch pad freaaaaaaks out sometimes and i have the latest driver..any ideas? btw its like a sluggish then jumps all around and teleports around the screen

can you OC with just fsb ? like with out flashing the bios

 

Well.. The 8.12 a hotfix is very similar to the 9.1 which happens to have WoW issues. Gimme a couple minutes and I'll link you to the original 8.12 mod. Hopefully that resolves your problems.

 

I'm not sure of what you mean by freaks out at times, but sometimes my cursor sometimes jumps from one place to another.

 

lol thats what freaks out means but it just goes sluggish and stuff i unno seems like its lagging

 

ok so ive been experienceing a major lagg at first i thought it was my touch pad lagging but now i realize the whole computer laggggs only things im running is pidgin and opera and i have it set to use windows classic look. any way it just completely lags up any ideas? also when it lags and try to play music or when i send a message on pidgin the sound is lagggggged out(like a huge echo) and also i can type faster then it appears on the screen

 

When i put headphones
the voice still can be heard from the Speakers

Cant understand why or how to correct this

I fixed the keyboard, I got another noob question. what is the purpose of updating drivers, how do you do it, and how does it affect my comp. I never updated my desktop in anyway. laptops are all new to me

 

wow ughh lets see you go to alienware .com and then go to support and driver download area select your computer and you drivers you want(then when there dont click on them)btw ur desktop must have issues lol. and a computer is a computer thats why you update bios or firm ware on phones etc it make it run alot better . the last graphics driver doubled my framrated in fallout 3 and the other drivers make evry thing else work very nicely so upgrade your driver or ..do nothing

 

How do you fix your Keyboard problem??

 

newer drivers are usually faster and more efficient, so your system will perform better.

btw E has been passed in 3dmarks 06 and they broke the 17k mark some chinese gamer running qx9300 and 3870's

Think the keyboard problem was that only the blue color lights up! Nothing changes with FN+F10!

And i got the same problem, but on my Keyboard only red lights! Controlled the connector, is ok, flashing new KBC130D Bios, flash ok and now.... same as before, only red lights correct!

 

wow, E's gotta ante up... mind you, he's got the Chinese dude over the barrel in terms of CPU points... his GPUs are worse than the other guys' though. out of interest, are the GPUs overclocked? because ORB gives the same clock speeds for the GPUs.

 

Yes, GPU´s must be overclocked! And i think the Chinese Guy is overclocking the QX9300 over the FSB! Maybe near FSB 300! I dont try it at this time! I´m sure, its a hard work to go over 17+!

 

it's wierd, cuz the chinese guy has the CPU clocked at 3250mhz, E at 3186mhz - and yet, E has a higher CPU score in 3dmark06...

 

I dont know at this time where is the trick! I´m running nearly same setup as e-wrecked, but i loose 200 CPU Points! One trick from the Chinese Guy is, he runs CPU-Tests first, then GPU Tests!

makes sense - a cooler CPU performs better, and if you run the GPU tests first, the CPU will already be heated up a bit...

Is there any noticable difference between the original bios for the m17 and the latest? Where do they list the updates for each version?

 

Is there a new one for the m17? Thought the "new one" would be the OCZ one?

I see it there....they used to put the release date and some notes about the BIOS but they don't do it anymore...I wonder what the new BIOS fixes?

it will support 1333mhz memory but currently there arent any native 1333mhz FSB processors for notebooks so we dont know....overclocking wise if u can get it that high then yes lol
