    we don't know if the BIOS will be locked or not, and if it is, you might well be able to "over-flash" it with an unlocked BIOS from OCZ/XoticPC/KN/whatever.

    U can probably flash the bios from Ocz since they are the same laptops but this will viod your warranty.

    well its the only way to get it because alienware wont let u buy off ebay and then put it in yourself or even send it to them and they put it in. it has to be bought from them.

    also my qx9300 will absolutley destroy and i mean destroy your 2.26 core 2 duo. sinyour

    edit- aw will be allow ocing via bios update in the future

    I just called , the rep still say if it's ok during QC, it will be send to shipping dept in 24 to 48 hrs.

    That's a long time to get it to shipping.

    no man, the rep meant 24 to 48 hrs to get to the shipping dept to start shipping. And then 3 to 5 business days to ship to my door.

    I choose the normal one which cost me about $8, the faster one would cost me C$280.48. Which one would you choose? that's $270+ difference.
