I just hope they announce all the models, and the M11x R3 is out by the end of April. I want one bad. 3DMark06 estimations?

HP? HP doesn't even have a system that comes remotely close to the old pre-Dell Alienware's let alone the M18x. HP is a joke. They don't need 4 fans to cool 485Ms, you guys should spend some time on learning how these systems are designed.

I found it. Easy peasy. If its 1140 pounds with an i7 2630QM and 1600x900, with 4GB RAM and 500GB HDD, It should be about a grand like that here. As soon as its up US, I'm ordering.

I am so torn between the M11x R3 and the M14x, I just wish I can actually hold both in my hand and then choose.

I think im going to do a quick autocad drawing so I can see the difference of them side by side. lol

If you have a powerful desktop then m11x R3 will be a fine choice
But if you lack a decent desktop then get m14x R3, it's still light and portable but game much better than m11x R3

 

You mean m14x r1... And yes, there is no possible comparison between those machines...

 

Working for me, here is a picture of basic config/price i toke

 

1100 dollars in USA for a m14x with i5, 1366x768, 2gb of ram and 320 of HDD would be a really good starting point...

 

I have just noticed that 1080p screen is the main screen, no extra to upgrade to 1080p screen like the m17x r3 that's a nice price imo

 

Looks like the m14x is off my list.

If the m17x r3 gets 5 hours of light use on a 90-Wh battery and the m14x uses a ~60-Wh battery..... Can we assume it will get a 1/3 of the battery life?(Both would have the same processor.)

 

Uk prices =/= USA prices

M17X R3 cost £1499 in UK when it's $1500 only in the USA (both with same config)


M18X Will be 1799$ Basic config if it were my guess (Still a nice deal, Since you get 1080p LCD without paying for the upgrade to 1080p)

Is this the same quality that the M17xR3 gets for the monitor? Both are WLED, but one has TrueLife.

Don't get me wrong guys but the M14X don't need more CPU than the 2630 and the upgraded screen if that config cost $1100 on USA i may consider ordering one

 

So, the M14x is getting a better screen than both the M17xR3 and the M18x? I'm not seeing the TrueLife display being mentioned on the M18x.

 

I would like also a blu-ray burner unit... If I am losing space with that unit, It at least have to be the best... I will pay 1500 dollars for my future m14x at max...

 

Are you really going to burn any blurays on your laptop remember the laptop optical drives are not the same strength as the desktop ones and they are also slow i already had one before and it take hours to burn a movie

just get a bluray player you can save some money for an SSD
