    Sorry I cant figure out how to get those links to the config to work without me logged in. The rep made them custom for me.

    Here is my config im going to go with tomorrow if its released.

    The screen is only a $75 upgrade.

    Thanks. That is the config that I can afford. Maybe with 750GB HDD...

    I think that Intel® Core™ i7-2820QM processor 2.30 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 up to 3.40 GHz is overpriced, but it is a really good CPU....

    I thought someone was saying that you need at least the i7 2720QM to be able to use the RAM at 1600Mhz?? BTW the M14x CPU Options in the US are i7 2630QM, i7 2720QM (+$150), i7 2820QM (+$350)

    Estimated Delivery Date 5/12/2011

    I think I could buy it right now, at least thats what I got from my rep.

    Yeah, that is right. 2630qm will downclock it. So no use of getting 8gb 1600mhz from dell when you can get 1333mhz from newegg for much less.

    Could someone be kind enough to spec out a base model M14x with:

    i7 2720QM (if there isn't one, stock 2630 is fine)
    750GB HDD
    X-Fi Audio
    Bluetooth
    1Yr warranty with accidental damage

    I'm assuming here that the 1.5GB video card really isn't going to see a performance drop in comparison to the 3GB model, especially considering the res of thing thing will only be 13x7. If they are actually different cards, and Dell is using one with DDR5, then I'll take that, but for the moment I'd love to see where this sits.

    Tell me about it. What's worst for me is that I have to return my M11x that i bought a week ago to Dell this week, so I want to get my order in asap for the replacement. Almost broke down and bought an M15x off of ebay but I couldn't live on such poor battery life..

    Sorry, I can't get the config pages to work without being logged in. It was a custom thing a rep made for me.

    Can someone point me to some 1600 Mhz 4GB laptop ram? I can't seem to find any on Newegg except this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220576 and I have a feeling its crap. I buy Corsair or Kingston for my desktop, I haven't bought laptop memory before.

    It will beat m15x with GTX 260m
    And equal to m15x GTX460 when you overclock the GT555m (easily overclocked according to people who had the card in this forum)

    Overclocking it more make it even faster than GTX460m but wont remain stable.

    All of that is GPU wise, CPU wise m14x slaughter M15x cpu power. lately there are many games that actually require those fast Quad.

    are any of the cpu upgrades necessary or worth it? Looking forward to ditching my m11x for this if the price is right! definitely going for 900P screen and regular video card just not sure about the CPU..
