I am looking for a messenger bag...
-
I've got an Orion for my M15x, haven't really had a chance to use it very much yet but I'm going to a pretty huge LAN party in August and I plan to load it up!
-
Can anyone post good quality images of the inside of the messenger bag? I want to see what the storage is like.
-
Im pretty sure someone posted some comparison pictures a few page back.

The superdry one looks ace especially this one:
Superdry Black on Black Laptop Bag -
I dont see any in this thread.
-
Look the orion bag is just the best out there and I've had quite a few. Don't hesitate... You are talking about a bag not a car... No hesitation needed.

Looks great IMO, the flat panel makes it look really professional. Only fanboyism is the logos everywhere
-
Trust me it's not fanboyish not more than an executive wearing a porsche shirt on Fridays... -
Its not anymore fanboyish than wearing a sports jersey. And you think this its ugly? Im not one to judge but how often do you get a backpack protected by a blastoise shell, smooth high quality zippers, and orthopedic weight distribution for under 70?
I will take some picks of how will everything fits tomorrow (long day of roller coasters)
-
ive had this bag for two years and love it.
i only read the first page, ha but im wondering why this thread was created.
do ppl think this bag is new? -
Seems to be working -
Good job!
i was just curious or maybe that i missed a slight upgrade or something. -

Nice thread pal, I'll rep You for it. I have an orion backpack also and for me it's a great buy, really happy with it. In my country Alienware is not widely known so I don't have the fanboy issue since most don't have an idea of the brand so they just see a cool ( or not so cool, obviuosly everybody does'nt have to like it lol) bag with an alien head on it
Everything I need to fit in there fits just fine. I fill it with my M17x R1 a bunch of cables just in case (USB,eSata, firewire at least 2 of each with different connectors. Also the the alienware mousepad, an alienware tacx mouse and a wireless Microsoft mouse depending where and what I use it for. The power adapter. My iPhone charger cable. An alienware tacx headset and iPhone earphones. An external drive (MyPassport) an Xbox 360 wireless controller, an extra M17x battery.a couple of usb sticks, pencils and stuff. And maybe something else I forget ( a bag of chips and/or cookies) and everything fits perfectly well organized. Of course after filling it with all that stuff it gets pretty heavy but it's like having my office and my gaming gear always with me so it's not a big issue ( using my car, if I was using public transportation I guess I would get a backpain very often. I wanted to buy another orion bag for my wife's M15x but she thought it was too big and heavy for her. She says that even when empty you can feel it kinda heavy. But for me it's the perfect bag. No complaint at all.

I'll +Rep this review as well, good effort putting it together.
Based on your review I'd have to say this seems to be one of the (if not the) best backpacks specifically designed laptops out there. I personally find it a little plain and ugly except for the nice shiny Alienware logo but it all comes down to personal preference. If I didn't have a dedicated laptop for work/travel and used an AW for work (do people actually do that?) I'd consider picking one up. -

Hey thanks for great review friend, i have one question friend, can this backup fir 2 M17x? I have M15x and i am thinking of putting alot of things into these. My cell phones, books and lot of other stuff's.
+1 rep -
Nice post, I wouldn't however store pens in the backpack. If they leak, well you know.
-
Yes it can, but one of them will have to be outside the protectice "ScanFast" case in the main pocket. -
Great review. +1 rep. I just bought mine from newegg a couple hours ago.

Having a dad that orders crap for his buisness daily has its benefits -
Was about to order an Orion Alienware backpack through Dell but good to know its a lot cheaper elsewhere.
-
I want this...
-
-
Not sure how to fix that.
-
Just noticed that green embroidery around the protective face on either side of the Alienware logo... odd, my backpack doesn't show that at all, did it come like that?
Also, while the logo is easily scratched, except for deep knicks you can actually polish out most of them with just your finger so it's not as bad as it seems. From what someone told me the logo is some kind of stone that is easily shaped and polished but still pretty durable. -
Odd. -

After reading through this post I decided to order the backpack for my m17x notebook. I had to order from Dell as Newegg or Amazon in Canada didn't have it.
I have my XPS backpack from my m1730 notebook but I find that the alienware doesn't fit in properly. -
On the other hand I do not agree. The XPS bag is perfectly fine though not as convenient. -
@Bluekornchips
Off topic, but is the razer mamba mouse a great mouse and a great deal, and where is it the cheapest at? -
Just got my orion backpack... It is awesome.
-
Glad you like it. Stick all your gear inside and put it on your back and you'll like it even more
-
I just received mine today, I really like it. My m17x fits in it really nice, it has lots of room glad I bought it.
Thanks for the review. -

As mentionde few pages back I have both the AW bag and backpack but with great sadness I must say that the bag jsut broke yesterday. Out of the blue, one of the zippers snapped out of place and because of the weight, it also broke on the sides (of the zipper). I will post some pics when I can.
Too bad as it was my meetings bag and I used to stuff like double the papers that I have in he backpack. Once I measured the bag and it had around 16Kg (with laptop, charger and other stuff inside).
The backpack is still safe, no harm done to it, but neither am I carying that much with it. -
Seriously, sorry to hear that.
