none of us can know for sure. I could make an account and claim to be a worker or know someone. My skepticism remains for all theories.

 

The thing is that this could take a negative turn for either him or Alienware if information were to be leaked. Especially with him posting as an Alienware employee.

Alienware has employees posting on forums but they do so as official Alienware employees, with Alienware's permission and under forum moderator approval.

Alienware employees are also bound by a confidentiality contract.

 

meh from what iv heard its has a very Dell look which sounds disappointing.

 

I wanna know if it has skullcap or something similar too it, also if the quadcore clock speeds are increased, maybe ill buy quad core !

I just dont want it to abandon the alienware lid, because thats a cool part about having an Alienware laptop along with the components !

 

Is something new... I can't talk about the style... but you'll see... is awesome. Having the money to buy it, for sure.. I'll buy it... and this is weird... I'm more a desktop guy... but this lappy is changing my mind

Exactly! Remember that AW is always trying to innovate.. bringing new products and designs to the market... The skullcap design on the M17, 9750, m15x and m17x is part of the brand and is always requested from our customers.. Also the Alienhead will remain there, very stylish!

I was gonna buy the m17, but I wanted a bit more oomph in the graphics, so I waited, and now I just have to wait like 15 more days ! Im gonna max it out hehe !

JAJA! Good call.. well the M17 is not a bad laptop.. cool product in my believe. As a personal opinion.. not reflecting AW's opinion... I'm not a fan of ATI VC's... I prefer Nvidia, but wait and see, the new lappy is really cool, for sure you'll like it!

 

I can't disclose ETA's... I know the release is close, really close.

Regarding Back to School sales... well, is a good opportunity to sell more products.. for sure AW won't miss the chance!

Its not that I dont like ATI graphics cards, its more of the fact that the 3870's were not as top of the line as other graphics cards in real life performance, so I just wanted to wait for graphics cards that would perform better in real world performance, not just benchmarks.

I work for AW too guys. The new laptop will be 26" and it will feature the same hardware that exists in the army's super computers as well as a pink skullcap cover that is removable and comes with 1 cover replacement of your choice.

It's actually a joint venture with Dell, Apple and Alienware.

It's got Dell and Apple hardware backing it up, the Alienware performance and support. And a special version of Windows which is a blend of Windows and OSX. Not only it runs smooth, but also stable.
