    Is that the lid? It looks like alienware is taking the design somewhat from the predator desktop chassis from the look of the grills.

    Well if that really is the sneak preview for the chassis, then a lot of my doubts about the look of the laptop are put to rest, although i cant really see how the whole thing looks....i wonder what the rest of it looks like :D!

    Not that I don't think you worked for AW at some point, but honestly I don't think you know, or have any idea either. I have the original post from Gophn, and the only edits he made after that were more description on the rumors and small things. There were no major changes to the prediction he made of the system.

    In any case, like someone else said, it's easy to start saying "I work for Alienware" "I designed it" "I'm playing Crysis on the new laptop" etc, etc., but it really means nothing. Everyone still has to wait, and there is no way anyone here knows who lies and who is for real.

    Does it really matter though? We still have to wait. Everyone needs to take un-official "Alienware employees" comments with a grain of salt.

    I will say one thing though, if by any chance the new logo is the one on that wallpaper that was put up, then that is definitely a good sign of things to come for the new system, at least for me. That alien head is pure awesomeness.

    OK guys,

    Open this photo with an editor and you'll see this is a picture of the front of a new laptop.

    You can just make out the left/right selector bar below the touchpad.

    Also you can see a small rubber oblong bumpstop on either side for the lid to rest on, and you can make out part of the number pad too. Must be a 17".

    Just increase the brightness and lower contrast!

    If this photo really is from A.W. then it looks like a whole new chassis. :D

    oh I have to disagree jwest. It very looks like the front of new-design Alienware, to me anyway. especially when you see rob41 modified images where you can see the touchpad.
