Hi Allan.. I have a question.. after a number of problems with my gpus, dwayne@alienware upgraded me to the 6990s..xf but i had to buy 2 years extended warranty to be able to get them.. now im having problems with these artifacting and running hot... is there any options for me since i just shelled out alot of money to get the 7970s xf? and return these? please pm me.. thanks..
I dont want to go threw the hassle of feeling like im trying to cheat AW out of some thing or being told after hours on the phone that theres nothing they can Do.. and wait for a tech thats going to get mad that they have to work on this system... (Im quoting a tech where i live.. they refuse to work on the m18x) and after the tech leaves seeing scratches and dings and having to call AW back reexplain for hours what happened..
Id really like to avoid that this time around.. thanks..
p.s. I just checked my warranty and it still is not right..lol i bought 2 years of a full warrenty..and was told acidental damage was included in the price.. and i got 272 days left//lol... and.. 1002 days left of another warranty -

I ordered sandy bridge 2860xm only.Allan told me it will be automatically changed to 3820qm when it is released monday
I talked to a rep. and now they are saying i will only get sandybridge. so i cancelled the order.I have to talk to Allan again on monday and reorder it -
Sigh, Dell goes out of their way to explain the situation thoroughly and this still happens?

I've noticed that the M17x I have in my cart has been upgraded to the Ivy Bridge i7 3610QM with no way of going back to change it to Sandy Bridge again. Is there anyway I can just get the Sandy Bridge and save more money?

My question is... I am waiting for the XFire 7970m to get out to get an m18x R2. I will probably be paying the 4 year advanced warranty (for accidental + on-site coverage) because, heck I had so many stuff happening to my old XPS 1330m that it payed itself off many times. I currently reside in the US but probably in a year, I'll be moving to somewhere in Europe (UK, Switzerland, Germany or Turkey - whereever the job pushes me). So, can I use my warranty and the services associated with the warranty in Europe? What will change and what will stay?
If you can provide me detailed information about this, I'll be really glad.

I just checked AAFES website and it still shows M17x R4 with Sandy Bridge. Does it mean if I order with i7 2760QM and 7970M I will get IB i7 3610QM?

Can any of the dell folks confirm if the internal Wireless HD card isn't an option anymore in the M18x R2 and the ExpressCard slot has been removed?

Got a couple of concerns on my M14x R2 order, I know of the IB release, and rumors has it that it will ship with it. I will feel better if it was on paper like on my order description, or some form of email notification.
Second is another concern is that when I ordered there was an option for a 256gb ssd as my main drive. There's not option now for a single ssd, it's either a msata with hdd or ssd's in raid mode. Will I still get my single ssd configuration like I want it? I won't mind if AW upgrades me to dual 256gb ssd...haha wishful thinking i know.
