Since I am still waiting on Allan to get back to my quote, and before I ordered, was curious if that was indeed a Samsung 830 as it's specs are pretty decent

Otherwise, I would just order the M17 with the cheapest drive and buy the drive from Amazon ...

Just looking for the best option before I order is all was trying to do

The 'worked up' reference was a preemptive strike for those inclined to pick up the phone and suffer through phone menus and hold times. The problem will be ancient history by the time your system arrives, my friend.

I need help with getting this laptop
I comes out to $3,472.000
I only have $3,000 for this laptop, the w/o the warranty it comes to $2,999.00 but i really need a warranty on the laptop.
As well as this laptop has the 675m in sli but i want the 7970m in xfire when they come out and i am assuming that will knock off about $200 so its around $3,200 and i need this to be lower. This is not a quote and i have only configured it on the website
Please help me get this laptop by reducing the price some how, possibly explain how to reduce other than changing the configuration. I read in here to call and talk to someone to possibly get the price reduced but i really do not have a clue what to do in that situation.
I am currently a college student, my laptop just died and i need a new one and $3,000 is the most i can afford to spend on this laptop. The reason so much is because i do will not be replacing this laptop for many years to come so the warranty is vital.

Update:

We are having some delays on the current emails we received. Our tools are under going maintenance.

If you have not received your quote. Expect some delay. Once it comes back up, I will be doing extra hours to complete the pending quotes before Saturday/Sunday which are my days off.

The sales rep told me that it is a high chance of getting here tomorrow morning if not, probably Monday morning.

I placed my order on the 15th! Then they cancelled it like 4 times and was officially placed without being cancelled on the 25th of April. I however, was upgraded to next day delivery.

You should receive yours by next Friday being the latest unless you live in India somewhere they ship ridiculously fast! Wasn't expecting to get it until the 24th!

I just wanted to thank you for the excellent quote on warranty.

Not going to share a numbers, but it's a very good price for after-purchase compared to the ridiculous quotes I received from random reps. Let's just say it's around 60% cheaper than what I was originally quoted for standard warranty of 1 year (which would make it year #2). Definitely good rates if anyone wants to extend their warranty.

 

Is it cheaper to buy the longer warranty right off the bat?

I didn't get your reply about the CPU issue for several days and somehow cannot reach you on phone last night. I am in a dilemma because the order is under production with an i5 CPU I didn't order, once it is shipped, I have not way but to return it. Since I don't get any update from you, I am not sure if I should cancel it.

I hope it can be fixed without a re-order, otherwise I have to wait several extral days This is my first time buying an alienware and buying from dell. People in Dell are nice and great, but unluckily the process isn't as smooth as I expected. I understand there are quite a lots of messages you need to deal with. Hope I can get good news from you soon.
