Hey Guys not to derail this thread from the complaining about quote response times but is there any official information regarding the 680M delays? Is there any word that AW/Dell sales can pass on regarding this? If it is in another thread already then I'm sorry, but I just heard about this today (apparently I've been living under a rock for the last 2 weeks). Any info from AW/Dell would be appreciated.

Secondly to address the turnaround time for quotes. The other day I posted that we were having some delays in getting back to some of you. If you have not received a quote from me please re-send your PM and I will re-submit it using our new process. This is for US customers that go through me and should not effect Rachid@dell in any way. We are continually trying to build the forum project internally and are coming up with some new ways to handle quotes to get them out in a more efficient manner.

This was to address the issues that were being raised around turnaround times and how long it was taking you to get a quote.
My team is doing everything we can to get you all something that you can be proud to use and in a cost effective way.
I am more than happy to continue to help you if you are deciding that you don't want to go with Samsung or Sager and would rather have an Alienware. Please re-send your quote request and I will get it over to my guys.

Rev is working this week with his management to be able to get us better deals and discounts. As it stands right now, they have no promotional pricing other than student/military and Dell advantage rebates. They will quite you the same pricing as what you would get on the website at the moment. Rest assured, Rev is working on it so that they can get us pricing on par with other methods (such as calling in).

Looks like I may have been lucky to get a deal through these reps. Dell just missed all their targets on their quarterly earnings report so there may be some belt tightening happening all over the company. -

Here is the official messaging I received on the 680m GPU, Just wanted to share it with you in case you didn't see it elsewhere.

I know everyone has been anxious to see the worlds most powerful mobile graphics card available again on the M17x and M18x laptops, no one more so than us. We assure you this was entirely a supply issue; there was never an engineering problem. You guys just loved this card so much we couldnt keep up with you. Thanks, everyone, for your patience while we dealt with this supply shortage.

The rep that you had referred me to never got back to me. He sent me a e-mail that he wouldn't be in the office at the end of last week and would be back on Monday. I shot him a e-mail on Monday and never heard back. I called in and got Scott who was a lot more helpful with assisting me with my purchase. If you need Scott's info rev I can pass it on to you. He deserves a gold star and a cookie. He was very informative and extremely helpful. I dealt with Lisette who is Adam's team mate and a couple of chat reps. They weren't very helpful =(. -

@ talorsis you need to have 5 posts before the pm feature gets unlocked. The forum unlocks the pm feature around like 11 pm at night. So you need 4 more posts.
It looks like AW is doing a 10% special for select machines (m14x and x51) so it might be a good time for you to purchase your machine! -

Old question and haven't seen an update on this for a while, but is Wireless HD not an option for the M18x anymore? I see it listed in the tech specs for the M14x, but upon configuration, you don't get an option to purchase a machine with it even on the M14x...It's not listed at all on the M18x.
