    I sent a PM on Thursday or Friday and got a call back, but the rep said he could only work with Canadian buyers and that he would forward me to a U.S. rep. I haven't heard back from him, though; just wanted to make sure it didn't fall through the cracks.

    Wow so much love already, Sorry for the late entry guys. Bill thinks I was on vacation but actually I just spent a week out in LA at E3. Was such a blast doing interviews and showing off the Alienware systems. We dominated the floor with over 400 systems between the new laptop refreshes and the Aurora's and X51's. I'll get some pics as soon as I get the chance.

    What you are seeing is the first true, formal pilot program for sales on non-Dell sites. They are running it out of Canada and the US. They are taking a disciplined approach to data gathering, which they will present in an ops review to their leadership at some point. I would imagine, if all goes according to Hoyle, US/Canada sales leadership will take whatever Rev's and Rachid's team present to them to their colleagues across the globe.

    I'd guess we can start making some assumptions at or around the 60 day mark, once we see some data.

    I work for the Louisiana State government... but I cant seem to get an EPP member number from anyone. Do I have to figure out that number or can i provide proof that I am indeed a state worker? Of course, all of this is if Louisiana State employees even get a discount. Also, I am a college student, do EPP discounts stack? (I doubt it, but I have to ask ;) )

    Before I PM you and all that, are you **really** giving deals?

    I just got done chatting with an alienware rep and the 'deal' was a 5% GC and then another $200 GC, free shipping, and $50 off the MSRP. This was for a $2788 ($2738 after $50 off) m17x.

    This is in comparison to a Sager equipped IDENTICALLY except for the Sager having a Wireless n 6300 card. The Sager was $2277.56.

    Obviously the alienware was still WAY more. Also, I don't have much use for Gift cards, I would rather have the price reduced. Lastly, I have to pay Texas sales tax on Alienware and none on Sager. So.....

    Is the above 'deal' something to be expected from you or are you **really** dealing?

    Just don't want to go through the motions with you and waste both of our time. Thanks :)

    I have try to PM you about my recent order with Allan at dell but didn't get any feedback, so that's why I try posting on this tread.

    I placed my order on april 30th for a M17X R4 with Allan and by that time you was saying that it was impossible for me to get a 2nd generation processor and that I would get a Ivy bridge for sure.

    I got my laptop on may 15 and it was equipped with a 2nd generation processor :(

    After tringing to E-mail Allan about it and tringing the support center at dell without any respond at all, I'm asking you on this forum, can you do something about it since I believed you.

    To answer the initial question, and a very good question at that. I would say that because of my team we are able to comb through all of the current promotions that are available at this time. This includes online only and call in only as well as print adds allowing us to make sure that you are getting the best deal we can get you. At the very least if I can save you a few pennies extra we want you to know about it. Also we are here as a point of contact for you instead of you having to call in and make your way to the appropriate department, we can make sure that you are taken care of in as timely a manner as possible.

    PM me your comparisons and I will be happy to take a look at them with you and see what we can find. Consider us your online consultants and if for some reason we can't find you a better deal, at least we will know that you are already getting the best price available.

    I just got off the phone with one of Rev's guys and what he's saying is absolutely true.

    They emailed me early this morning with a quote and let me know to shoot them a call to see what we could do. I wasn't able to get ahold of the rep who contacted me, so I hung up and sent an email with my phone number letting him know he could call me anytime. 8 minutes later he called.

    Long story short, we talked a bit and Rev's guy got me the M17x I wanted and within the budget I had available. I'm happy, I think they're happy, and I'm about to send some positive feedback to my rep's manager letting them know how awesome my experience was.

    Hence why I asked if they would really deal or not.... you can get a 200 GC, a 5% GC, $50 off and free shipping chatting with a dell rep from India (don't really know his location, lol).

    I'll try the PM thingy but I am thinking Sager's prices will be untouchable (not that I expect a price match, but with in $200 would be reasonable especially since I have to fork over Texas sales tax---no fault of Alienware's though).
