Can't get this broken POS game to work. I get about 36 frames per second now with about 30% utilization for each GPU. Not worth my time trying to get it working.. and I haven't even played through the DLC I had..Once again...
    Screw Ubisoft. Fool me once...

    UPDATE: It's SLI broken... again
A single stock 980m can just about brute force 60fps with Temporal AA

Hopefully that's doable. I didn't know how, nor investigated it. I assumed that wouldn't be possible since they are so tight fisted with DRM.
I'll have another look when I feel like letting "Ubisorry" troll me some more :p

I'm pretty sure the game forces you to update or it wont run.

That might have changed. With AC:U I got prompted to update but i could refuse and the game still works fine in single player. You can't join co-op but this is so much better than the usual console style 'you must update'. You'd have to have the original install though...

Here's a gameplay video of one of the best and challenging driving sims I've played in recent history. The 980m's to an admirable job.

Nice vid and driving, until it went all Pete Tong at the end!

    Controller or wheel (FF)?

Haha cheers, yeah it's so much fun when you get in the zone. The cars pretty much act like they should. I wanted to do a video where I looked like a real champ but that might not have been as entertaining for y'all to watch.
I'd love a wheel, but have to make do with a 360 pad until I find a more permanent situation.

Well that (360 pad) makes it even more awesome in my eyes. I have loved many driving sims but since I had to stop using my FF Wheel I just can't get the granularity on the steering or braking on a controller - and I have tried very hard. I also miss the extra few miliseconds the FF gives you. As the car starts to break away you feel it before seeing it.

I hope I can figure out how to set one up in my limited space nowadays, you made me hanker for a decent driving experience ;).

Why thank you. Well Assetto Corsa certainly wont disappoint you there. The only bummer is it won't satisfy if you have modding urge. But most importantly they really nailed the physics and traction/aerodynamics big time. It is extremely hard to catch the car if the rear steps out, borderline impossible to drift, at least with out a wheel, but some tweaking could help.

Here's a video of a game that never actually released.
"FPS Terminator". It's a pre Alpha 2 as you can tell by some of the visual artifacts (less on stage 3 previewed at 3:40 if you feel a seizure coming on :D ).
Based on the Unreal engine III, this project was sadly never finished and wound up in 2011 .
It actually showed real promise for Terminator fans and the developer's take on the Terminator 2029 future was looking to be pretty faithful to the first 2 Terminator movies (not the other crud that followed).

@ 3:40 you'll also see another iconic stage

Here's another Skyrim Video to show off some of visuals. Absolutely loaded this sucker up with 2k-4k textures and mods. Looks brilliant, I just wish youtube still did a better job.

Man, I really do not like this XenForo software. Besides the UI being terribly sucky, there are so many things are broken or don't work well. It really blows chunks that YouTube embed code does not work, Imgur albums cannot be embedded and all of the posts that have tables in them are screwed up so bad. I wish NBR could go back to the old vBulletin software. This "upgrade" was a huge mistake IMHO.

Dying Light Video. Pretty impressive game. Nothing like cracking a rusty pipe of some zombie skulls. Doesn't run to shabby either.

managed to find a copy of Assassin's Creed: Rogue and it seems to play pretty well on a 780m at 1080p60 on default settings...though that's my initial impressions though since it isn't officially released i probably won't post vids of it running until it is after march 10.

    here's some screenshots anyway :D

ok, i lied, i uploaded a video of it but it is currently unlisted.

EDIT: my initial screenshots didn't have any form of AO or godrays enabled but the video has SSAO and godrays enabled. it seems well optimized for an AC game as of late though it is of a smaller scale...more like an expandalone title rather than a direct sequel by still very much in the AC canon as there's characters from AC3 and AC4.

gameplay is pretty much the same as AC4 really so if you want more ship battles then this is the game for you but unfortunately the texture quality is a bit crap and this is on the highest setting out of only 2 available settings. the water quality also looks a strange: it's like the water has a higher viscosity than it should nor does it look as nice as it does in AC4.

suffice it to say if you intend to get the game it should run fine with a 970M.

the game itself is not that big at all with a full install taking just under 12gb.

Dead Space 3 - not the most demanding game of 2013 (it's DX9 not DX11) so with the game maxed out it runs really nicely.

I like a nicely optimized DX9 or DX10 game over a sloppily developed DX11 coding abortion any day of the week. Nothing wrong with any of the three API when the developers actually care enough to do a good job. As long as it looks good, runs right, and it's fun to play, I really don't care if it is using a DX or OpenGL API.

Dead Space 3 was fun for me though i do see how some people didn't like it due to the jump scares and the difference in direction it took from Dead Space 1.

For some reason shadowplay didn't like recording these games so I used xsplit instead with a reasonable level of quality for the free version.
