Got a warning that music may be 3rd party copyright on original video posted, so posting a shorter one. (still processing, but it has been in that state for a couple hours, and need sleep. lol) Great game, but I would suggest using a controller with this one. I bought today as it was $29.99. Settings are maxed, but shadows do look funny on minifigures, so will turn down when I have a controller and play again.

Bump... it has been almost a month since anyone posted a video to this thread. What's up with that?

I would have done a Far Cry 3 video if Ubisoft/Digital River didn't drive me bonkers getting it; now I can't bring myself to promote them. -
Well, Quagmire, I'd like to see the Far Cry 3 video if you change your mind.
I've enjoyed this thread and I hate to see so little action taking place in it.
This is not a gaming video, but it might be of interest to some gamers. I have posted it in the M18x CPU overclocking thread.

But hey-ho it is pretty
-
This old game is very poorly optimized and framerate is locked at 60 FPS (less when screen recording) but it's still a ton of fun. If anyone knows of a trick to disable vsync for it, please post. I have searched the web and cannot find any tweak posted for that issue, just a lot of complaints that it cannot be done. GPU utilization is next to nothing on this title and it probably would run fine on an outdated, under-powered system.

). On a positive note, it is a cool sandbox. Needs more enemy combatants though.
But yes, stutter aside, I am enjoying the pretty, open world action. When if/the stutter is fixed, I'll look at MP, have fun man! -
I'll have to check out FC3 as soon as the price comes down on Steam. (I'm a cheapskate gamer that seldom pays more than $20 for any title, even those that I want really bad.)

Nice vid! I love 80's heavy metal, hair and grunge rock music... they're still my favorite tunes.

Short Crysis and Gears of War capture showing what Intel's latest is capable of. I never expect much from integrated graphics. The results are not amazing, but the mere fact that both titles are actually 100% playable is. At 1080p and medium settings, it was much smoother than I expected. I captured this with Fraps and it was still holding high enough FPS to not be choppy, as you can see from the video. Frame rate was consistently 30 or higher.

This is an old game title, but I somehow missed it back when it was released. I had never even heard of it until just recently.
I thought it would be fun to record my first time playing with it. It's a cool game and has a lot of awesome rock tunes.

what am i missing with the UT3 black edition video? the FPS was 45-50?
on my trusty ol saphire 5850 desktop with 1055t (which those laptops are much faster than!) i can get around 50-60fps with everything on (bar one setting i forget now, i think its complex shadows) and 12X effective AA ( 4x SuperSampling AA) @ 1080p !
id expect 24x forced AA and closer to 80 fps from those laptop setups, without forcing ludicrous AA id expect over 150fps -

I find this game to be well optimized. It is cranking >95% gpu usage and gets into >70% cpu usage outdoors which really surprised me. I am using SMAAx1, All Very High and Blur Low at 1080. Anyone using a 7970m and not performing like mine, check you're using 13.2 Beta5 CCC. The game is running like butter for me, even when recording with Afterburner.
As far as the game, I'm enjoying it as much as C2 and it is freaking gorgeous, hunting is fun. I have noticed a few graphic and AI glitches, nothing to ruin the game so far and one of what I call an AI glitch is in the vid (blows himself up with a poor grenade toss, haha).

Quagmire LXIX Have Laptop, Will Travel!
Here is Crysis 3 MP (non beta) with settings that regularly have me around 60fps+. Dual running fraps so there isn't the FPS bug with Afterburner and I estimate ~10% loss due to recording.
My opinion FC3 SP > C3 SP and C3 MP > FC3 MP.

Just the audio alone gets my adrenaline pumping... the sound of a finely-tuned high performance engine is sweeter than music to my ears. Even though some are not exciting to play for hours on end, I never grow tired of the audio on racing games. The sound of the supercharger whine gives me shivers.
Nice vid, Brother Quagmire. -

More pCARS candy to get the chops wet. I count 35 actual gameplay racing views (not all are useful and some work much better on other cars than this Pagani), this game has taken views to a new level imo. My favorite views are of course cockpit, then helmet cam (been getting real used to that and may take over standard cockpit) and I'm digging the shaker bumper cam(s). When all else fails (err...on other racing games cough, Grid 2, cough) I always love the bonnet cam.
Oh yeah, still digging the sunrise in Badenring!

I did a Skyrim ENB video. Besides showing off the visuals, I mainly made this for people that have difficulty using DOF with AMD crossfire. After much research, i found this way the best. The solution is in the description.
Do it justice and watch them in 1080p

Metro Last Light: Selectable up to 1080p. **SPOILER 06:45 thru 07:28 It's ok out of the gate, but a good driver update is called for. I find underutilized gpu usage, have 10-15% more to give imo. I am finding it quite playable and enjoyable so far though.
The 1st level had a considerable amount of screen (texture) flicker, I have a good repeatable example starting at 09:21 minute. Very little seen in next 2 levels. There is a 0.5 SSAA option, thought that was noteworthy. Don't see a benchmark, disappointing.

Trials Evolution Gold Edition: Selectable up to 1080p. I find this game crazy addictive and have not had any of the problems I read about. There is a great demo on Steam, the last race in the vid is from the demo. Whether VSync is on or off, it locks at 60fps for me, which underutilizes the 7970m, but clearly it doesn't need to be fully utilized. I really, really don't care for UPlay wanting to "link" to my Steam account (if you do, they say it's permanent), so I have to say No each time I fire the game up.

Nice vids. I don't know what it seems they always have to screw up great racing games with v-sync being locked on. That really sucks. They did the same thing with the NFS franchise and it's really unfortunate. Trials Evolution looks like a blast.
Stuff like the UPlay prompt is always obnoxious. I hate that kind of stuff. I wish Steam would ban anything like so that the developers are required to remove their trash in order for their software to be made available on Steam. -

I bought FarCry 3: blood dragon on Steam and it fires up Uplay with my account there so both interfaces active. Is that what you mean? I Can't launch it direct from Uplay - annoying, should have just got it from Uplay to start with
Nice taster for Metro Last Light, I get it tomorrow... -
Quagmire LXIX Have Laptop, Will Travel!
Thanks Brother Fox. Thanks MickyD, it does run both clients, however, I do have to launch through UPlay after it opens Steam. Also, every time I launch the game, there is a menu that asks if you want to link your UPlay with Steam so it can share friends and other stuff; what I see is a security hole and more intrusion that could cause problems, so I won't do it. Happy gaming brother!
