marshall bud i think its time to give em a ring a pretend nothing and see what they come up with..... possibly a bios problem with the cards not being able to be read by the motherboard...

Thing is the motherboard does recognize them. With the generic windows drivers they are listed in the device manager as "ATI Mobility Radeon 4850". Plus also one installs with the basic old AW driver. Most definately a driver issue.

Did you manage to do any benchmarking with the single card driver for now?

Also if its a fresh installation; and you're having trouble on W7 because of the dual GPU installation issue fixed in later revisions; why not go back to Vista 64 for now; and then swap to W7 at a later date when better drivers are available?

I remember it did. there was a thread about it and 7077 was the bes but that's beta and it expires this week.

You could try rapid share. I used it for the first time the other day. Quite easy and free. Plus for anyone wanting to know I have both cards installed perfectly under vista 64bit. Albeit on an old aw driver but still fully functioning

well on my connection at home over night i can upload about 2.5gb at 120kbps

so if you have a 2mb upline then do that, if not then burn it and save the 8 days of uploading ;)

Personally i would have already had it in an envelope now :p

I promise you guys its just the version of Win7 that Marshall is using that is causing that yellow exclamation mark next to the graphics adaptor in device manager..there is a thread somewhere on this forum about it, this 7127 version fixes this problem.
I dont get why you arent using the RC really but if its 7127 you want then its nearly unpacked in archives on my desktop and I will begin uploading shortly.
I will send an invite for IPT to that address you posted earlier in the thread marshall if you dont mind. I have to set-off to work shortly and I expect your busy with the new-born...much more important than these 4850s...lol
