Right for anyone who wants em, here are the RAR/ZIPs of those alienware files extracted. I *think* these links should be OK beyond 10 downloads.

-
Thanks don I shall get them now and give it a go then get right back to you.
-

-
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
ok I sent it. the second one is the one with the attachments on it.
-
Hey i got the 9.4 attachments but not the 9.7
-
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
no the attachments are 9.7 it's two files.
-
Copied and pasted the inf's into the dir within 9.7 but no joy when installing. Only installs the hdmi driver and thats all
-
marshall bud i think its time to give em a ring a pretend nothing and see what they come up with..... possibly a bios problem with the cards not being able to be read by the motherboard...
-
Thing is the motherboard does recognize them. With the generic windows drivers they are listed in the device manager as "ATI Mobility Radeon 4850". Plus also one installs with the basic old AW driver. Most definately a driver issue.

Did you manage to do any benchmarking with the single card driver for now?
Also if its a fresh installation; and you're having trouble on W7 because of the dual GPU installation issue fixed in later revisions; why not go back to Vista 64 for now; and then swap to W7 at a later date when better drivers are available? -
7100 did have big Xfire problems, try 7077
-
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
I remember it did. there was a thread about it and 7077 was the bes but that's beta and it expires this week.
vista would be better to use. I dn't remember what build adter 7100 was good though. -
This is the thread here:
http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=378620
Release 7127 was the one that fixed it. -
sounds like the problem that he is having
*whistle*
-
if they weren't being reconized by the MOBO AW would not release them and theyw ould not show up in win 7 and they would not be installed -
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
thanks marvie for pointing out the build.
-
I would try win 7127 but its not available for download from MS only through torrent sites so I wont be able to be a Key for it.
-
the keys are all the same
-
Ok cool. I shall download a copy and give it a go. Trouble is I can only find it on torrent sites so not a very quick download, 3.6gb so gonna take a while
-
Does anyone happen to have a copy of build 7127 win 7
-
do you still need this Marshall? I have this build.
If ever you want any Windows 7 builds really fast then I can give you an invite to IPtorrents for legal downloads of Win7 BETA and RC. -
Hey tony yeah I most certainly do. Gonna take about a day and a half at the current torrent speed.
-
right...where do I upload it? and how?
just a quick pointer please anyone? -
You could try rapid share. I used it for the first time the other day. Quite easy and free. Plus for anyone wanting to know I have both cards installed perfectly under vista 64bit. Albeit on an old aw driver but still fully functioning
-
right, at first glance I cant see it even on my external. Send me your E-mail address and I will send you an invite straight over....you will have it D/L in a hour or so.
-
no benchmarks?
temps?
anything ? -
oh no...tell a lye...Ive found it.
will look at Rapidshare now. -
ah...rapidshare says maximum upload=200mb??
-
come on lads....how can I upload such a big ISO?
-
Im off to work in an hour or so!
-
They'l come eventually Moo, they'l come...
Atleast they got 1 of the Cards working
Try Filefront.
Actually dont
Get winrar and arcive into different sizes.
Then upload parts. -
Its just the windows 7 build that he is using....the same thing happened to us in this build with the 3870s and then was fixed in this build Im trying to upload!
-
come on guys....where and how can I upload 3.3Gb of ISO??
-
OH ok...Cataclysm...missed that!
Ive got Winrar but have never done that...will give it a go! -
what options do I choose in WinRar?
-
Just send him an invite for IP torrents, its listed there already isnt it?
uploading a 3.3gb file will take hours -
-
If he sends me an adress I will and I will start sharing it as well....not the fastest but it would help.
I clicked on "add files to archive" and I chose good compression....is this correct..its working now and my fans are running like crazy! -
it cant be @hotmail. AOL or comcast!!
-
lol just burn the image and post it to him! lol
-
WinRAR has nearly finished creating an archive for this ISO....Do I then extract it somewhere?
-
Pmanuk@ Ive already got it burnt!! LOL
-
well on my connection at home over night i can upload about 2.5gb at 120kbps
so if you have a 2mb upline then do that, if not then burn it and save the 8 days of uploading
Personally i would have already had it in an envelope now -
Im only on a 8m/bit line with an upload of 448kbp/s...lol
-
Man I'm dying to find out what the benchies are. Talk about waiting in suspense
-
I promise you guys its just the version of Win7 that Marshall is using that is causing that yellow exclamation mark next to the graphics adaptor in device manager..there is a thread somewhere on this forum about it, this 7127 version fixes this problem.
I dont get why you arent using the RC really but if its 7127 you want then its nearly unpacked in archives on my desktop and I will begin uploading shortly.
I will send an invite for IPT to that address you posted earlier in the thread marshall if you dont mind. I have to set-off to work shortly and I expect your busy with the new-born...much more important than these 4850s...lol
Cannot get 4850's to work in M17
