Strange. For me, WoW is smoother than eggs on 9.1.

 

Yeap its smooth but every 30-60mins or so i get the #132 error. Which from googling it seems like a common error with the 9.1 since a lot of people had the problem with the newest drivers. So far never got the error again after i went back to 8.12

e another guy on here got 16.5 k he used a SSD .....all im saying lol tax return =SSD and a cutoff for my cars exhaust o and some ram

 

Also disappointed in the 9.1 driver. Best game performance and Vantage scores with E-Wrecks 8.12.

 

They have performance tweeks like the AW one
That's why we like E and the 8.12 of him

8.12 on Vista is the rul0r! On W7 the W7 Beta driver scores (@ my m17) the highest ...

W7 Beta, as far as I know, is a modifyed 8.12

The 9.2 does not work on my alienware M17 crossfire 3870.... I properly uninstall everything but when I launch the installer, evern though it proposes me to install drivers+software, I get an error at the end of the setup saying that it could not install the drivers..... I had to reinstall former driver 8.12....

 

Yea a lot of people had that issue so far including me with the mobility modder drivers.

 

I'll mod the new drivers shortly.. Will hopefully be complete in the next hour or so..

 

Cant wait Although i read a lot issues about these catalysts. For eg one card always run at full speed even while on desktop, which generates a lot more heat and a few more than cant remembers, its in ATI's forums

 

thats why its better to update when
the computer asks to update

or it has issues if we mess with it

 

update to 9.1 they are stable the 9.2 are buggy for me even though i modded . The driver for 8.12 are good but there is a big difference in performance to the 9.1 i highly reccomend them they are in E-wrecked thread

 

I am supprised ... the 9.2 does NOT performe better on my rig (and W7) than the "old" W7 Beta Driver ... hm ... and the scalingproblem is still there^^

I'll install Vista and an "old driver" to see if I can get what I want "12,4k"

Any news on the 9.2's E-Wrecked?

 

Hey!

I've been having some problems running games stable lately. I'm using E's 9.1 and almost every game I've tried crashes into desktop after approx. 0.5-1h playtime.

So I thought about reverting back to 8.12, at least they worked like a charm. Now I just bumped into a minor annoyance: when I start computer I get an error message whining about "MOM.implementation not found". I tried to google it and it's something related to catalyst control center. Anyone know how to kill this problem?

Since 8.12 used to work just fine they still should. Just make sure you do a proper uninstall/install.

Uninstall your current ATI driver, restart and go into the save mode, run Driver Sweeper and clear whatever its left, delete the ATI folder in program files as well, restart back into the normal mode and install the 8.12's.

 

Yes that is exactly what I did. There's lots of other people with the same problem when switching ATI drivers but no good info available, how to counter that "MOM.implementation" error.

 

it, i know how to fix this error... for those that need it fixed. the 'MOM' file is a framework file, just repair framework then its fixed. even vista USERS. framework 3.5 from the microsoft site.

after you have repaired it you might get another error.

'CLI implementation' instead.

first of all, make sure you go to folder options and check that you can see all folders which are hidden.

UNINSTALL CATAYST CONTROL CENTRE FIRST!

1)Check that (Document and Settings)/(User)/AppData/Local/ATI/ACE is empty

Check that (Program Files folder )/ATI Technologies/ATI.ACE is empty

ATI folders with (1) infront for duplicates. delete them all too ...


2) go to windows / assembly there should be about 818 unwanted keys all related to catayst. Check (Windows folder)/Assembly folder to see if there's any files with Public Key Token of "90ba9c70f846762e" delete them all!. sort them to make it easy.


now install catayst it should be working fine

Ok.. here's the NEW 9.3 ATI HD3870 mod but I havent added any performance tweaks yet. First, I wanna make sure it installs properly without hiccups.

these are for 64bit Vista.. just download the ATI Drivers from here(not the CCC & driver full suite):

Download the CCC seperately from the same link..

Uninstall ATI drivers.. extract new ATI drivers and throw these 2 .infs inside the \9_3_vista64_win7_64_dd\Packages\Drivers\Display\LH6A_INF folder to replace the ones currently there.
64bit Vista & Win7 infs

Install driver using have disk method and point it to the CH_76829 driver for Vista or the C7_77072 for Win7, then check device manager to make sure it installed properly. Now install CCC without rebooting.. should all be there as 9.3 now! Hope it works out

Oh, also..you can try downloading the full driver/CCC combo package and just replace the .infs - not sure which method is better as I no longer can test. Feedback plz?

Side note - once this is confirmed working I will also hit up 32bit. I need someone to confirm the 64bit installs flawlessly. Also, need to make sure fullscreen scaling works properly. Thanks!

they only work on 8.10 or ealier

they OC well i got up to 1050 on the mem before crash haven't tested the other

 

MR.Moo I didn't find your m17 temps thread so I'll just post it here I hope you'll not hate me for missusing this thread!

In comparison I let my "old" desktop run the same savegame for 8h aswell

I have no notebookcooler, I ony put some "stuff" under the back feeds of the m17 to give the air more space to flow

I am impressed of the m17 cooling system

thanks julian but i abandoned the thread no one would post enough to do a review on coolers .

you can see in my pics in my room thread the cooler i made( i am remakeing with vents on the side and 1.5 inchs thinner and plexiglass. Im putting 3 big 120 or 160 mm fans, i for cpu 2 for gpu's). I oc'd my cpu to 3.1 ghz and it never broke 55 c at full load testing under orthos.....

i took the bottom off and put it over my cooler

 

you already payed for one though don't worry, it'll come.

 

I bought a cooler and hope to recive it befor estern, than I'll give you all to make ca comparison (or I'll make one befor you even start tiping )

thanks julian i was gonna but no one would post i got like 3 peoples ... and whizzo you can see my 10 min cooler lol and you can see it in action on my temps while over clocking

 

Just a silly equstion? Why is Crysis so fluently playable with 15fps? I feels smooth ... for CSS to feel smooth I need 40fps ...
