    See previous post...to sum up he doesnt know yet because the system is not yet available... he is working to get us the best price possible since we are a large group.


    I created a facebook group as well... im not sure how I can invite logan since he is a part of Dell and is not an addable friend.

    You'd think. I spoke with him at length and he is going to check with his manager to see what he can do for a single card m17x and he is off tomorrow but is back Saturday. He is supposed to contact me then and let me know the discount details.

    If not keep us posted... it will give us at least an idea of what he will offer the rest of us. Well, at least he is working to get us a discount. Out of curiosity I contacted an EPP rep just to see what they would offer a group of 20 people. She was a total Bit*H and said "we dont do additional discounts! You can only get the published 10% on alienware systems" Then I told her that another person I know got 15% off!... she said "Dell determines the discounts. All we can offer you is 10%".

    Talking about discounts, here is another thing that makes no sense to me. On Ebay the prices of new M17X are all more expensive than on the website. Why would people purchase more expensive products on Ebay instead of less expensive on Dell.com?

    When I was trying to order my m17x, got one of the reps to tell me that the max discount they can give is 21% not sure if that's' true or not though very hard to believe most of the Dell sale reps.

    This time around I'll probably just go with the 720, the price jump to 820 is too big for the small performance increase, spend the money on 3 year advanced warranty instead.. hmm

    USAA is my insurance company, through my home owners insurance, I have computer insurance. $8.00 per year gives me $3,000.00 of coverage including accidental. You must be a member or family member in the military.

    Has he mentioned anything about varying discounts between what type of system people buy? I'm looking at the m15x and wondering if the discount might be lower since the price won't be as high as a crossfire m17x system.
