    I've seen that a couple of times, with some people claiming to know insiders about a supposed release. We need solid proof. ;)

    Or just mislead by an overzealous rep, either way I agree I'm about worn out following the people with "tips", or "rumors" from their rep or otherwise, all I know is I'm done waking up a WHOLE 5 minutes early (I know its tough) in the morning for time to check the AW and NBR websites, I'll buy the laptop when it comes out and thats that.

    Discussions between Dell and ATI either centered on current gen technology, or the companies were already looking at the next step and invested R&D into 5xxx mobile designs. A look back on Dell's upgrade history implies that a 4870 GDDR5 is the safer bet, but it's a 50/50 speculation in the end, which comes down to whether money has already been heavily invested into the Mobility 4870s development.
