I getting as excited as you are, Moo, but considering it's hit boxing 2 weeks before the estimate next week works fine for me. The first few days next week before I get it will give me the time I need to backup my Inspiron 9300 for the transfer and I can finally retire this laptop

So.. It's safe to assume that everyone is this thread has:

1) Their sales order number memorized.
2) Their customer number memorized
3) BOTH order status telephone numbers with coinciding number prompts.
4) Call either number 5 to 10 times a day. (number actually in speed dial)?
5) adds a post to this thread a few times a day to soothe the anxiety.
6) thinks more about their shiny new toy than .

moo, i looked on google and couldn't find it, but why is it that only 1 gb is used when u crossfire???

 

I had the wrong part number for the dvd drive. I just checked my order last night and I have the new part number and a different ac adapter. They never cancled my order they just fixed it. I am in boxing also.

 

Video memory is Mirrored when used in Crossfire or SLI ... So basically what ever the game is loading into Video Memory it loads the same to both cards..

This the same for when your configuring the m17x-r1 and it says dual nvidia SLI 2gb?

I talked to the rep and verified that when you have the dual cards each card has 1gb of ram for it.

Also my EDD is been moved up to Monday according to Dell. I have NBD shipping too.

Just spoke with Terrence, a regional accounts manager and was told that the hold up on many systems is A.) 8gb 1333 RAM or B.) DVD/RW drive (aparently there was an old model used in online purchases.) or C.) 920XM Processor shortage... Most other systems will be shipped on monday. Mine included.


Take that with a grain of salt though.

 

Mine just got canceled. My ETA was 2/1. Apparantly my order had a bad DVD part # attached to it. I ordered mine over the phone, so they used a bad number on a phone order.

Called and reordered.

I'm a little miffed why Dell does this. Why don't they just replace the old part number with the new...?

313-8977 Quicksilver is on my new order.

 

I just noticed that when you go to configure M17x (R1 or R2) on both the Home (USA) and EPP websites doesn't give you a "Preliminary Ship Date" anymore. It used to show it on the right side in red above the "Print Summary" link. M15x still has it but not the M17x. Something must be going on...
I ordered mine on 1/14/10 (M17x-R2) and its ETA is 2/2/10 but I doubt it will make it. It's still in the build stage.

 

I feel like a 4 year old the day before christmas

 

Mine got shipped too!
Just checked online and it now says "shipped" and I got a tracking number.
No delivery date either, just says "picked up", only thing is I got ground delivery, but it only takes like 3 to 4 days from Nashville to San Diego
Keep checking your status online, I am sure a whole bunch shipped today!

Doesn't matter to me if it says shipped now or wait until early Monday to post it. If it actually shipped early today I could have seen it tomorrow.
