Got my next day shipping re-instated... So now my delivery will ACTUALLY be on the 8th since I am pretty sure it won't be sent out today.

 

From the looks of it, R2 is a resounding success. Looks to be selling a lot more than R1 did.

 

Mine got delayed till the 26th today ..............

 

got my EDD bumped to 2/15.
I've just sent an email to my rep asking to upgrade me to NBD, hope she'll agree.
I WANT MY R2!!

 

You know it wasn't coming in 5 days, right? lol

Ordered the 22 then it went through the 23 and I was shipped the 29th

Yeah, I am complaining to myself right now as there is a $100 coupon that stacks with my $50 coupon AND my discount.

The PAIN inside hurts.....

Haha i saw that last night and said to myself the heck with it im not cancelling to save $100.00 even though its what i should do lol....

But you will be getting a refund in less than 21 days, it shouldn't really matter right?

 

Well day I ordered had a 5% that stacked and add the 100+ 50 ..

I'm sad to but the 5% was one day only ..

Nah, if that screen is as good as everyone says, I'd most likely keep it.

Pretty much the main reason I returned my R1 a while ago was the screen.

 

Well you and me both have experience with the SXPS RGB LED. Lets hope the blacks fare better.

@sleey0, do you mean to say that you can stack the discounts on top of that 16%?
I also used that 16% discount, but i was told by the rep that no other coupon will work with it, so i tried to say that it's not true, but it did not help ...

 

Mandrake said there was no bleeding around the edges and that was my biggest gripe with the SXPS.

i wasn't arguing too much, as 16% is a decent discount as it is, and the coupon that i had was for extra 50 bucks..

I have ordered many things over the years from Dell but never received an Email stating that.... hopefully its just a canned Email that everyone gets when they delay the order....

Kinda lost track, did you reorder with the new DVD drive part number? I know Dell financial services is aware of this issue.... you might check with them and press the issue if you financed through them...

 

I told 'em I had heard there about a problem with the DVD part number and that orders were being delayed or cancelled. They opened a service ticket, upgraded me to NBD and put an "expedite" on my order (without me even having to ask). Doubt the expedite did much, but the website reflected the shipping change about 30 mins later.

Been in boxing since yesterday yesterday AM. Hopefully that plane from China will touchdown over here sometime soon...

I never had the old drive on my order. I just ordered it 1/27/2010 so it has the new DVD drive. It's just taking longer than I want. Been in production for a week now.

At least I got them to throw in NBD shipping so once it gets out I know it will be here soon enough.

 

Looks like my order is delayed till tomorrow, the fedex guy said it was due to bad weather
Oh well, no more staring at the security cam for a delivery truck

 

The weather is fine here in Las Vegas. I wish FedEx had mine! lol

Another 820QM. Ordered mine on 1/22; still in the build stage somewhere in the @$$ end of China.

 

I ordered mine 1/17, then my order was canceled on 2/1, new order number on 2/2

I think I need to call them about it, my personalized name plate doesn't say my name now on the order...

it's never shows on the order page. It only shows in the email I got as an order confirmation.

 

Called Dell and said I want a refund or replacement. They ordered me another and will replace this one. They are building a new one and I have a eta of 2/9 with nbd shipping. It only took one call. The guy was very understanding and was really good to me. So I have a new order number and get to use this one till the replacement gets here. You guys were right about what to do. Thanks for the few members that helped me. I dont see what is so bad abou Dells customer service. I have been treated great at every step. I always hear horror stories about dealing with Dell. Am I just getting lucky or is this the norm? I have returned electronics elsewhere and it was a total nightmare.

 

It's hit or miss.

Personally, I have had more pos than neg experiences with Dell.
