I have a discount that is more than the 10% thru my Dad's company.'

I also stacked the $100 off and my $50 coupon for signing up for EPP emails.

 

I called to just check on my order and the foreigner on the phone offered me free Overnight shipping, then realized I already paid for it and said she would ask her manager to remove the cost for it. I didn't even ask. Anyone who doesn't have Next day delivery should call constantly checking on their order and make sure you speak with a rep. I am sure you will get one who will be more then happy to hook you up.

Too late... I was busted... couple coworkers saw me huddled next to the SAN and got suspicious. they knew i wasnt working on the array.

They want me to run some benches, and they were tryna touch it... had to take off my belt. haha

 

Mine is showing shipped!! I just refreshed it again after doing it like 15 mins ago so it just changed for me. Does that mean that it actually shipped and will be here tommorrow most likely? (I got upgraded to NBD). I work in a NOC at an ISP too on the weekends so I'll be showing it off this weekend if it gets here tommorrow

 

Yes, if it shipped today and you have NBD shipping, Friday is your luck day!

 

Well.. mine did ship today with NBD.

 

I called and talked to a customer care rep earlier today to make sure there was nothing holding up my order since it has been in the build stage since last Thursday. He told me everything looked good and no parts were on back-order or anything.

But, one thing he did look for was if I had ordered an anti-virus program with it. I told him no when he mentioned it because I install my own anti-virus programs. He said that McAfee has had some issues with Windows 7 and that was one of the reasons for cancelled orders recently. I'm not sure how true that is, but just an FYI.

 

Ohhh, maybe that means mine will be next! Probably get it next Monday or Tuesday if I am lucky.

 

LOL - so far, I we have been told 1) dvd drive 2) mcafee and I was even told the LoJack software had problems...

I wouldn't believe a Dell sales rep if he said "hello" now...

 

I was told the 1333 memory was causing problems and was why my order was canceled...so I'm beginning to wonder what ISN'T on the cancelation list...lol

 

1333mhz RAM would only cause problems if your core was something under i7 720qm.

 

Yea, I didn't take much stock in it but wanted to add to the list of "issues" that are supposedly canceling orders. lol

Still in build with an order date of 1/27. I think all the systems that have hit boxing or shipped were ordered on 1/25 or earlier, except for one guy who ordered his on 1/29. Anyone with an order date later than 1/25 have their system hit boxing or ship yet?

Ok I mentioned this in another thread page but, my M17x was shipped. I just checked again and the new ETA is 2/9/10! I'll be gaming strong on Tuesday! If all goes well.

 

well dell cancelled my first order and re-ordered autamaticallly for me, with the right optical drive. So now my new EDD is 2/9 and they upgraded my shipping to overnight. So gg.

 

I've ordered mine on 1/27 and it hits boxing yesterday 2/3 in the morning, I'm expecting to receive mine between monday-wednesday on the next week.

and I'm hoping not to have problems with flickering like some users are reporting.

Btw, anyone who received it already have some info of the battery life? How long can it stand on the battery?

Darn, mine still says in build and I ordered 1/27 too. I've been calling the number at least 4 times a day and checking the web site. I hope it was actually shipped, but not holding my breath.

 

Wooo mine shipped (ordered 1/25/2010). Getting it tomorrow. Gotta love next business day for free!

 

Probably won't have the flickering issue as it seems to only affect those with the 920...

Just called to check on my 1/17 order since many people who ordered a week or more AFTER me are getting theirs already!

I'm still in 'build' and my estimated ship date is 2/5... would have loved to have it for the weekend.. but Monday or Tuesday would be good...

 

Chances are it wont arrive by then if you ordered today. Dell's system is screwed up and almost all ETA's are wrong. You are realistically looking for about 7-14 days for it to arrive.

 

Yeah the order ETA is still a mess... I ordered 2/1 with a 2/5 ETA then revised 2 days later to 2/26 ...

 

mine is still in build stage for 3 days now so who knows how long it will take for them to ship it from asia to australia =(

 

Dell's order system is pretty archaic, once they place an order and its been processed and in the build stage, it's almost impossible to modify the order. I went through this with my R2. I had to call in and have the original with the bad dvd part canceled. I made sure for the rep to select the right drive when I reordered.

 

I'm bummed. Ordered 1/25 and still in boxing...
Maybe it'll ship tomorrow and arrive Monday.

Yeah, I'd definitely call and get a status. My order was placed on 1/16 and they didn't cancel it until 2/2 (my arrival date was supposed to be 2/4), and I didn't find out it was canceled until I called in. They claimed my order was delayed due to the 1333 memory, and now that my reorder has been placed it is scheduled to arrive until 2/19. So if yours is still in the BUILD process and you're estimated arrival date is in a few days, I'd definitely give them a call just to be safe.

 

I assume it takes about 1 week to build 1 week to arrive in Australia and a few days to get to your door. So you'll be waiting. Mines in "Order recivied" so it'll be in Building stage on Monday i hope.

 

My reorder was on 1/29, mine just shipped tonight and will be here tommorrow. When I first ordered it showed an ETA of 2/3, I called up and spoke with a customer care lady on Monday who checked and said the actual ETA would be 2/9, but that she was going to see what she could do and follow up with me. She emailed me back tonight and said she managed to get the order expedited for me and that it was being shipped out. I'm not sure if thats really true or not but at least its coming.

 

lol I had to cancel due to the problem with the original orders... redid my order through Dell Financial on 02/02... ETA 02/04... obviously a default date of some kind, then it jumped to 02/19. Supposedly mine is on the "hot sheet" and "expedited" Dellienware's dates are just.... incomprehensible...

Man I wish I had canceled and reordered on that 5% coupon ><

 

Well ordered on the 28 and it is in transit tonight. Says estimated delivery the 8th but hoping sooner. Even though my original edd was the 23rd. Getting real excited to get it. Ive been wanting an alienware for about 10 years. Now I finally get one YEAH!!!!!! Either way 12 days from order is very good I think.

 

See, this is what I don't understand. Ordered mine on 1/27 and it still tells me in build stage. You order yours one day later and it's in transit already.

Baffling how Dell handles orders to say the least. What specs did you order?
