I guess the only thing missing for me is my headset. I will go with the razer megalodon just got the mamba . So I should be good to go.

I got AW TactX Headset & Mouse , AW Backpack , and Crylo Cooler. What else missing? I got Digital Theater Surround setup for the bigger sound and XBR 52" for picture. oh so can't wait....not really... lol

I ordered on 1/18 and only this evening received a note from Dell that the order is delayed. Expected deliver is now 2/12. There is no mention of what is causing the delay. I tried to cancel the order several time because it is now likely to arrive when we are gone. Once it is in production, changes don't seem to be possible.

 

Call dell at: 1 800 247 2076. Since it was delayed you should be able to cancel it.

 

Agreed - mine is still EDD 2/9 (just called again)

If anything changes I'll just cancel it and buy something else - specifically not Dell

I'll give them a pass if I ship today. In all fairness, I ordered fairly late in the day (9pm or somesuch). I was just hoping to becable to play over the weekend. I'll just have to live vicariously through everyone here on nbr.

 

Yea, I have been calling that number multiple times for the past 4 days. I also have a resolution rep following the order. He was the one who gave me the free NBD shipping.

Good news though. I called just now....it's in boxing! Finally some progress. My guess is I should have it the beginning of next week.

 

I got that same headset and I love it. It's very comfortable and the sounds are real nice.

 

I got a backpack as well, I actually HAVE that right now... and it's really nice. It's definitely designed to carry two (2!) 17" laptops and it shows. The pocket that is RF shielded is a great idea to for securing your phone without it going off when you don't want it to. Oh wait, I could just turn it off

Ordered 2 days ago, ETA was 2/9...just got delayed and not delivered til 2/17.

 

Ordered Jan 21, shipped late last night (Feb 4) w/ 3-5 day shipping, arriving today! (Feb 5) Original EDD was February 12th.

Now to start the return process to get a better price.

Yes the 720s are just fine. Its sad really i debated geting 920 for a month then as soon as i orderd the problems come up, really hope a solution comes soon.

 

ETA on my second system is 2-11-2010.

I hope that the R2 replacements coming next week fix the flicker issue. It was a real pain when I went through 2 R1 systems before I have my R2 here now that so far is working perfectly.

 

How do you like the 720QM? I just bought almost the exact same machine except I have the dual 4870s.

 

So far it's great and I've been told it's right up there with the QX9300 after I posted my Vantage score.

 

I ordered the 2nd and my ETA is the 21... Can you say shaft?

Not that I trust ETA's from Dell as they are rather pessimistic but still. Hoping to see it in 2 weeks total from order date to door step.

 

Yeah, this order fulfillment business with Dell is just insane.

We have people with initial laptop issues getting replacements in 5 days...

People having to call and place new orders because Dellienware screwed the pooch dry are getting ETAs of three weeks.... it just ain't right. Oh I see, get RMA'd systems back, "check" them, then send the returns out to the poor suckers who had to reorder.... now I get it...

I would laugh my *ss off if I got mine and it had "Joker" or "Mandrake" on the bottom .... then I would file a lawsuit.

NOTE: No offense to Joker or Mandrake, just two folks I know who had an RMA in progress...

 

There is truth to the expedite process as I have worked closely with reps from Texas.

Anyone getting a replacement system it is automatically expedited at factory.

For anyone else to get an expedite, a rep has to request it, the factory will check to make sure all parts are on hand, and if so they will approve it (or deny it if conditions aren't met). The rep then will recieve a yay or nay on the expedite.

 

Well according to dells automated tracking service my R2 was delivered on the 23rd March 2009 to some place in Los Angeles?! From the FedEx tracking number it spat out I can see it was signed for by someone as well - very nice of them! I this find rather disconcerting since I only ordered it on the 26thJan 2010 and I live in London.

Go figure
