what kind of memory? I reordered on the 1st after the dvd fiasco and my ETA is still 2/24...that's tight you are getting yours so quickly

that seems like a glich id call the automated line or your sales rep for a definate date.

For those wondering I got 1066 memory, so that should explain it all. 1333 seems to be in high demand. I guess because everyone wants one now that the CPU's can eat them better.

 

Bro, you gotta click on your order number on that page where it has the 1/1/0001 date. Then it will send you to another page with your actual EDD.

just got upgraded to NBD, but my estimated delivery date did not change. How is that possible ?

 

Rules of EDD:

1. The EDD is the latest possible date you should have your system by.
2. The EDD can be pushed back at any time for any reason.

 

Rule #3 waiting will always suck

 

It will be 12 days when i get mine today from when i originally ordered not too bad i suppose considering my edd was 2/23.

 

although it has seemed at time I was watching water boil.

 

Ordered 2/03 with eta of 2/22 NBD shipping. Although I don't have the highend procs, i hope they clear up what i've been reading about.

On another note, are the 8X DVD+/-RW Dual Layer Drive,QuickSilver drives Slot Loaded? I think that was the only choice but didn't see that in my order description.

I have been feeling like I was 8 years old again waiting for christmas day to get here.

 

The waiting is killer. The fact that it sits in production for much of the wait is also painful. You think.. hey how long could it take to make this thing..

 

Well if it makes you guys feel any better, I put in my order on the 16th of January, and my arrival date isn't until Feb 19th...so I'd have been happy with 12 days :-/. But yeah the waiting is definitely a killer.

I just kept asking my rep for more discounts and he finally gave me NBD as a way to keep me from asking for anymore

 

Did they tell you what was on BO? At least they called, I thought they didn't day anything and just moved the EDD

 

me thinks the screen is on back order not processors i mean anyone and everyone who got the r2 got the RGB led

 

Just talked to a rep - no issues on screen inventory

 

They now have replacement R2 w/i7-920XM systems to build. Everyone gets moved back.

 

Maybe the 1333 memory. They canceled my order on the 2nd due to the 1333 memory, so I had to reorder with the 1066 memory. I figure if nothing else I can upgrade that easily later.

I called in, spoke with a sales rep (obviously a new one at Dell who told me what was up) who admitted that there were two parts holding up my order:

- 430-3739 Intel Ultimate N WiFi Link 6300 a/g/n 3x3 MIMO Technology

- Something he indicated as having some code of "K1NFP"; if it's the same number Moo posted it is actually the RGB LED Screen....

To prevent further lapses in Dellienware's When-Ask-Don't-Tell policy I have reported the rep for a discipline action so such honest answers are not leaked out in the future

 

and there is better stuff than the elpida memory they supply. I have 12GB of elpida memory sittings at home doing nothing because I keep replacing them.

 

My order just was resubmitted with 1333 memory, no mention of shortages

How do you know it was resubmitted, did you cancel and reorder or change your order somehow without it being a cancel-reorder?

 

Have any of you ordered from Iraq or an APO and if so how long from your order date was it till delivery thanks.
