Yeah i know. Its moving into week four, no ETA, all i know is that Dell STILL has shortage. (Which is impossible due to someone in my Country getting his ETA due to him being delayed cause of the Screen, like me) So yeah, Kinda ticked off about it, so now i have to go talk to Dell chat and see if someone there can give me more compensation cause right now 50 dollars doesn't cut this ridiculous delay.

I call the number that is apparently my rep's and it goes to an automated ENTER YOUR ORDER NUMBER HERE AND I'LL GIVE YOU A STATUS thing -
I talked to the dell chat and got basiclly no where besides being told production should resume sometime this week. I asked for compensation and they said talk to the Kosik...So now i gotta go call my Kosik manager and ask for Compensation. -.- Getting the run around.

Based on Dellienware's past history an announcement doesn't translate to fulfilled orders for at least a few weeks I would think, but every time we try guess Dell something different happens, so who knows...

Don't get your hopes too high... and i don't mean to be a wet blanket but twice on the day before my EDD i was told by customer service that my order in "on schedule"
and twice I received a cancellation email

I had my wife check out the R1 at BestBuy over the weekend - she agrees it's a slick looking machine.. so i didn't have to cancel my order

Lol, Still waiting on my ETA, Talked to a Dell about the shortage, They said they still had a shortage not even answering why someone in our country got a ETA anyway, They said they should be able to start Production this week, but I'm having my doubts.

What kind of price did you get if you dont mind me asking ? Mine was Around $3,600 got it complete with tax and NBD for $2,989 something like that.
I got the 4 year complete care warranty just to be on the safe side. I should be able to watch a few dvd's and play GTA 4 and scared 2. Just hope it plays Devil May Cry 4 also. -

Hey. Don't bother with sales reps or tech support. You should be calling customer care and make sure you escalate it so the assign a rep to take care of you. That's the way to go if you want any kind of progress.
On a side note, I have a feeling none of us is getting theirs on 2/24. Boxing stage is 3 days and since we are all in production today 24 seems too optimistic to be true. I seriously hope that I am wrong. -

I don't, But some good news for me. I should be 'hopefully' getting my ETA tomorrow. Which is great. I got a email from my Rep, saying that i should get a ETA tomorrow or some news about progress due to it still being Chinese new year and cause of time differences.

Ya I will complain. But I seen Alienware have hard drives before that where not Released to other companys untel a few months later. I think it was the 320gb hard drive before they where out. So we will see. I will pull one out and take a look.

In the USA if the Ad is false you can sue them. I dont think it means if they put in the wrong cpu. Faster or slower. Which they will fix it. It more about what they say on there website. Raid 0 hard drive 620 gb 7200 rpm. That what they should give you. If they say 500gb at 7200 rpm that what you should get.
Yes I will look and post on this forum I have dual 620 gb hard drive at 7200 rpm. In raid config. If I dont I will point it out. I will go they lied.
