List everyone M17x-R2 ETA

Here's a couple of quick ones--the black doesn't look anything like the picture (it's not at all gray), that's just the way the camera is capturing it. You might be able to see the black chrome. The lid doesn't show fingerprints as bad as it appears either--the eye of the camera can be cruel.

 

Still no ETA, My USB drive they gave me for free will be here before my M17x. Lol'd.

He probably didn't, he might of. I ordered mine on 2/1 And i still STILL don't have a ETA even though my Rep said we should have more Info/ETA today. Im losing Hope...very very quickly.

Actually your EDD is inline with mine - my latest order date is 2/15 with EDD of 3/19... you're 2/14 with EDD 3/18....

let's hope we can drop the 1 and get them 3/08!!

I have an external mouse and the driver is set to disable the touchpad when it's attached. When the touchpad is disabled, the backlight shuts off.

These estimated ship dates are funny. Mine is supposed to ship tomorrow according to the recording yet it's in the build stage.

 

my reps still hold true to not knowing when the LED's will be in and they cant tell me when they will be getting them the manager gave me the run around about these systems beign built in austin texas i laughed inside but cryed realizing these guys dont know anything

Where do you hear when it's supposed to ship? I call the number in the "How to tell your real order status" thread and all it tells me is that I am in the build stage, nothing more. Of course the website still says that my estimated ship date is 1/1/01 so who knows. Is there some other number I should be calling?

 

The recording tells you when it's going to ship.

 

dont get the real one do 3 first and she gives you its in production and the date

CM, you can disable the touch pad with a function key, like FN+F12; I am sure thats what he did. The light goes out when you do that to let you know it's off.

 

so the 2/26 ship date is not gonna happen because its monday and i've called the status check number and i am still in production.

 

Testing/boxing could still happen overnight and it could still ship by Fri (boxing is typically 3 days). You'd have to call every half hour to even know when it hits testing--that's about the shortest phase of all.

Of course, if there are no rgbleds yet, then you may be right.

 

Just put an order down today, got an ETA of 3/17. i5 520m / RGB LED / ATI 4870 xfire / 4GB DDR3 1033.

 

Did you get the RGB LED screen cuz if not you wont feel our pain

so... did you get the bluray drive? If not, are you planning on upgrading? I didn't see the bluray option available when I ordered on Feb 4...

I reordered on 2/14 and my eta is also 3/17 . With dells order system anything is possible, I bet if ordered on 3/16 I would still get an eta of 3/17.

Cancel your order and reorder, since you don't have an eta you will never know if you are getting it sooner or later.

 

I was gonna do that till i asked dell, they stopped Discounting the M17x All powerful range. Meaning to buy one i'd have to fork out 2,700 instead of 2,429.99

Nope been stuck on Order Received status since 2/3 i ordered on 2/1 My Rep said it was a Part shortage. Then he emailed the Factory for a new ETA and said i should get it today and i got nothing. So yeah. I'm raging.

 

My original r2 was ordered on 2/1 also with an eta of 2/3, then changed to 2/19 and finally arrived on 2/10. IMO a bunch of monkeys programmed dells order system

 

I wouldn't be surprised if you are right with that one; I'm still waiting on why the Delivery person who delivered my USB drive gave it to a person one street away from me. Even though my Address is all over the damn box. But yeah if nothing changes tomorrow there will be blood.

Well according to the FedEx delivery schedule I should be receiving my laptop within the next 15 hours or so...I'll keep you all posted.

If so, is it priority overnight or standard overnight?

 

Ferarri, I think the NBD equivalates to standard overnight, except that Dell gets a couple extra days depending on what day of the weekend it is initially picked up and shipped. Although mine is NBD, it will have spent about 4 days in the shipping process to get to me, likely today.

 

the automated thingy keeps saying that my order is scheduled to be delivered on or before february 24, which i find hard to believe since she also tells me that my order is still in production and is in the build stage.

I did get a email. (action needed today to prevent order cancellation Email). I am stuck Between 2 fronts. This is a 3 replacement system. I did send the email to my alienware Rep. That dealt with my m17x that ran 110c and Dell who dont know how to do shipping.

Yes I am under Warrintee. I been looking at Lemon Laws and Warrintee laws. Becuse if I cancel the order Do not want backlash.

Beleave me after the frist system I would of change to a differnt company.

 

well, in terms of chassis design and overall look AW don't really have a competition. I would happily jump boat if there was an alternative.
The look is important to me, otherwise i'd go Asus G73 all the way.
