Yikes.. I just checked the order status and they must be updating things over there. My order says info unavailable at the moment. Fingers crossed that next week's EDD stays the way it is.

looks like my EDD changed from 3/1 to 3/8.

 

yep... I guess it takes a lot of system resources to bump the EDD again... Must be because there system isn't used to handling updates... AT ALL.

 

For me it is still unavailable.

 

Well that's awesome! Both phone updates (3 +order number and 4211+order number) now both have no idea or info concerning my order number...
Their SQL Server must be indexing or something... lol

i def. know what you mean. Dell took all the excitement out of the deal. By now it's just, whatever, they send it when they send it kind of attitude for me.

true but i think alot of that attest to your delivery method apo is a long haul lol. When i was stationed in germany i was given month long waits for my tv so i just mailed it to my mom and had her priority air it to my house lol

 

Well i do have to say that i got my laptop bag that i ordered with the r2 2 weeks before the edd on that so there is still a smidge of hope

 

im amazed were allowed shipping to iraq and afganistan lol i mean yeah its a priority for morale haha but id just be so afraid somthing would happen in transit but then again im airforce and i know how we unload those planes haha just be glad the m17 come packed so so well

 

I think AW bloats the EDD for APO, it really is only 7 days for a amizon order to get here, like you said its a huge moral issue so they dont BS mail.

To all those losing hope, believe me I understand your frustration. It is worth the wait, but everyone has a limit. I was almost at mine when Dellienware came through.

With that deal Delta, you'd be insane not to wait it out!

Well those triple b complaints can not be unnoticed. I am guessing that delta here will be updating us in the beginning or middle of the week.

But come on, all of us here chose the AW for a reason - the aluminum body, the cooling system, the build quality the rgb led .. none of that exists with the ASUS, and if you go ahead and buy it, you will always be regretting not waiting those two extra weeks for AW.
Oh, and over at the ASUS forum, i saw that it comes with it's own set of issues and problems. Plus it's backordered as well imho (although i am not sure about it).

Now for my personal opinion about the asus - it's one damn ugly mother

 

Looks like I am in the same boat guys... No phone calls, no emails, pushed back to 3/8.

Its ironic that every EDD date is a Monday. They are just saying... Lets HOPE we can get parts by then.

Yeah, thats what I am sayin Mr Neutron and I both ordered on 1/17.

I am pricing other systems out now, I am pretty much to my breaking point. There is no way I am spending 4k on a laptop that I have to wait two months to get. It's literally getting obsolete as I type. LOL

 

I just did some reading in the ASUS forum and my first impresions of the people who post is they are not the sharpest tools in the shed.

You guys own them in knowledge its sad really.

 

We can use him as an example we should get ours maybe in April/may gl to the ones who order the 5870 lol November maybe lol

 

Are they having some of the same delay issues we are? Usually people who post on forums are the outspoken minority. I think our case is unique in that this topic is bringing people into the forum that normally would not post.
