To those desperate waiting folk, believe me we were right there with you less than a week ago, Dellhell order status even said my order was cancelled this past Friday. There is nothing to do but wait and keep calling those customer care reps to get compensated for the wait. I thought a week and a half ago that checking order status is just something I would do forever and that ungrateful bit...lady would just keep saying Build stage in her mocking tone.

It's the unique identifier of your machine. You can find it on your invoice. From now on every contact you will have with Dell they'll ask you for it.

Service tag is an essential piece of gear, don't lose it, cuz then that means you probably misplaced your laptop

Called automated system and now on boxing stage - 3/4/10
EDD - 3/17/10

I imagine 3 days from now, plus NBD shipping i'll receive the new system by tuesday

Hope this info helps others, I know that this thread has been therapeutic for me during the wait. Seeing other people's stories on dell's epic FAIL/WIN has made it bearable.

Ok, what the fudge packer! Why the hell are people who ordered on 2/14 getting to the boxing stage before me? I dont even have an SSD drive in my system! I am going to explode on some Dell support agent right now!

When you guys say that your rep called them, what kind of rep is this? I haven't had a single person call me. Do you guys have some personal sales rep holding your hands or something? I seriously need to talk to someone who can help me. Because this is flip!

 

Well the stars have aligned for me today.. The tracking number has actually turned out to be good and the unit is on the way today. Unlike my M11x which was shipped and then 5 days later or so the tracking number worked this one was right on time. I am even getting it a whole day earlier than my EDD.

 

Ok mine is delivered. So I guess more guys are supposed to get theirs.
I still need to ship it to my country. That's more 1-4 days. I can't wait

Craaaaaaaaaaaaaaapppp! I forgot to add that to my order. I could use some OJ about now.

I talked to a rep and they say that no more parts are delayed on my system. They expect that I will have my system on the EDD of 3/8. We will see.

 

A rep told me today that as of 3/1/10 my order has finally been downloaded to the factory...Probably more BS, but I will be optimistic. My order date was 2/4/10 so maybe more have been downloaded so keep a look out.

So true, i am glad it's out of their hands now...
i am waiting for another package that is due to arrive today so i can consolidate the packages and save a little on shipping charges and then off it goes.. i am expecting to get it middle or end of next week.

 

so, once the laptop was invoiced, my rep, as promised, placed an order for the razer mamba. NBD and everything, thing is, i don't get why the status of my mamba is IN Production and the EDD is 3/8.. seriously ?

I was sure they just kinda ship it on the spot...
