I use Setfsb for the CPU and GPU tool for the GPU's.![]()

Is that the right pic rob 110fps then with 8xAA ?
.
-
My 2.8 duo is not a quad
-
TurbodTalon Notebook Virtuoso
And the clocks stick, and actually show improvement? -
Sorry, I had to change it. It's fixed now.
@Cool, Hmmm. Maybe it is the drivers.
-
Yes. I've verified with CPUz and GPUz and the clocks make a big improvement.
-
Yea thats what i thought but im using the 9.6's as well.
-
What drivers are you using?
-
Yeah, I must have something holding me back since my best runs were @ 3.45 on the CPU and a healthy OC on the GPU's too.
-
Are you running it in full screen ? (cause i can see something at the top of the screen). Think that will make it use only one card.
-
I'll check tomorrow, gotta get some sleep tonight.

dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
driver 190.15
everything maxed no aa stocked
http://i43.tinypic.com/34e6a8m.jpg
lightly overclocked
http://i42.tinypic.com/k4v5o4.jpg
i will push it harder tomorrow. (bit tired.)
my scores seem lows don't you think????? -
For a single card that seems about right , run some AA on it tomorrow .
-
On my M17x I got:
Score:33158
Average: 285.68 FPS
2.53 GHz
8190MB
280M
1900 x 1200
Low settings with no Antialiasing.
What settings i.e. low med or high and antialiasing do you want, as they all effect the overall score and I will run it again.
I changed my drivers to 8.15 6/4/2009 (NV notebook performance drivers v64 July 09). The system would not take any other stock nvidia drivers. -
Only 2 different settings
1. Maxxed out No AA
2. Maxxed out 8xAA
All at 1920x1200
Did you disable your 9400m in the bios or try to install some of the other drivers that Mandrake has tried/recommended ? i would try and get with him tomorrow and see if he can help you with getting your system running the way you want . -
15383
175.63FPS
1920 x 1200
No Anti, all setting on high -
I did disable the the 9400m.
I would appreciate your help, thanks -
Score 6914
Average: 79.46FPS
all settings maxed with 8x anti -
Message Mandrake tomorrow since he seems to be doing very well with this system so far and hes a nice guy
, im sure he can tell you exactly what you need to do to getting everything running up to snuff. .
-
ok now rename the exe in that capcom folder to Crysis and report back with the same settings . its clear that the drivers you have dont have the SF4 SLI profile in them and this will make the game run in SLI. Mandrake did this earlier and got an additional 20fps it seems
-
OK will do
-
Doing the above as requested I now got
Score: 7563
Average: 92.53
All maxed with 8 AA
That made a difference -
Very cool man and were on the right track
we shall have to see if other drivers have a larger impact or not but for now i cant be of any more help till i get mine . Things you can and should try are Overclocking your CPU either with the multiplier or thru the FSB in the bios as this could bring up your score abit and eventually overclocking your GPU's as well .
-
I will play around with all of the above thanks, but not tonight gotaa get some sleep. I did get it overclocked to 2.93 for a while, but it crashed a couple of times, I will try again with the new drivers and let you know.
Thanks again -
That's closer to what I was getting but just as an FYI I was running everything @1920x1080 just because I know that's what the res is for the W90.
-
Ran it twice. Maxed out with 8x AA all settings on high/highest (extra touch: ink) and also with default settings. Ofcourse 1920x1200 both runs.
Screenshots below along with the saved .txt files.
1920x1200 8x AA all settings maxed out:
SCORE: 6433
AVERAGE: 69.41FPS
OS: Windows Vista(TM) Home Premium
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T9600 @ 2.80GHz
Memory: 4090MB
Graphics Card: ATI MOBILITY RADEON HD 3870 X2
Display Setting: 1920x1200 60Hz 8xAA
1920x1200 No AA all settings at default:
SCORE: 14745
AVERAGE: 141.66FPS
OS: Windows Vista(TM) Home Premium
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T9600 @ 2.80GHz
Memory: 4090MB
Graphics Card: ATI MOBILITY RADEON HD 3870 X2
Display Setting: 1920x1200 60Hz
Running with 9.6 drivers and no overclock on anything.
I used these settings:
-
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
is your texture at 16x also. i set it to 16x and the regular setting was default
-
I was also running 1900 x1080 on the M17x
-
I used 8 AA as requested for testing.
-
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
the highlighted one
-
I believe I left that setting off, was not specified.
-
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
i was just wondering.
-
Yes i have put that texture setting to 16x.
-
Most of the time Anisotropic filtering will have little effect on your frame if any, but for arguments sake i would run it both ways just to make sure.
-
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
i have some free time so i'm going to see how this card really does in this game.
-
If you ran it with both processors at 2.53GHz then the scores would probably be very close. As has been said before, 3DMark06 has now become a processor benchmark rather than a system benchmark. I increase my 3DMark06 scores by around 1,500 with a 0.4GHz processor overclock
Vantage would probably provide a much better comparison. -
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
these are the settings i used
and got this overclocked
then i took off aa and got this overclocked.
-
I used these settings:
Your scores seem a bit low? -
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
i missed soft shadow
and my extra touch is higher.
but i'm using a e8600 and a single 9800m gtx. -
Hmm you are right there about the CPU.
I was kinda thinking the 9800 GTX > 3870's XFIRE in this game.
Try changing aspect to 16:10 and soft shadow highest maybe improves the score, no idea
.
-
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
with a single 9800m gtx at 1920*1200 vs 1920*1080 there a big difference in fps. at leaqst in dmc4
1920*1200
http://i39.tinypic.com/1zn5zcm.jpg
1920*1080

then the 3870 crossfired

dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
i'm installing office right now so i can't benchmark until it done. but i'm going to run it again (not as an high overclock as i did before but close to it and see what i get.)
-
Alright sounds good.
Looking forward to your results later on! -
im downloading it now and i will clock up and bench in a bit
-
Makes plenty sense since twin 256 bit cards has much more memory bandwith than 1 card.
