From the version info of those drivers it looks to be older than the stock dell drivers which i believe were 179.85, but clevo's looks to be 179.79

I'll bet on the Clevo having the same driver problems as the AW and the Tosh.

good call... seeing as they have the exact same specs... yes if u put a 260m in there it would probably work... but no one will because they come with single 280m or dual 280m and anyone upgrading from single 280m would just pay $400 to get another 280....

Loool... Ok I didn't see it in your sig before, I jumped back a few pages to look but it must not have loaded properly... and yes Clauss they are based on the same card and architecture so you should try them out as well! usually they are the same drivers

Oh sorry Clauss, I just refered to the dual 280's to indicate it's the same basic set up as the M17x. I don't know if the list includes drivers for the 260's or not.

I worded it badly. The list is what drivers Clevo has for the M980NU.

Oh by the way, when i overclocked the 3.3Ghz, it felt a little warm. I played like 30 mins of crysis. And it was extremly hot. I didnt have anything to monitor it. But when i felt the back of the chassis were the GPU's were. They were working hotter than i had before I had OCed. Maybe thats a a bad observation on my part because the gpus arent overclocked. All i know, with it at 3.3Ghz, the back of the comp was very very very hot.

use hwmoniter and see what temps you get.

run cpustab test for 5min and see what your temps are.

then run prime for 5 min and see if you pass. (i know it isn't long enough but if it is completely unstable then it will fail fast)

then if your temps aren't to bad run occt for 12min and watch your cpu burn in.

if you pass then we can go from there.

i will look up how the msi and the asus did it but they bought it up to 3.51ghz stable.

pleaes repost as you go along.

both. do crysis benchmark first. run it 2 times. just the cpu test.
then post your results. then run everything listed in my previous post in that order.

crysis isn't a program that you should use to watch your temps unless it's long periods of gaming.
dmc4 is a good one for the gpu. but we are focused on the cpu.

remember we arent focused on performance just stabilty.

also don't forget to change it to high performance in your power profile.

gonna play some prototype then i have to run out with my girl. i'll come back and see your results and we can go from there. :)

Just ran crysis benchmark tool cpu. made it through fine with ~25 FPS. Turn up to very high now? for the fun! the temps didnt shoot up, no new maximums. Which are 69 and 71. Trust me crysis warhead on enthusiast made the back of this fiery hot.
just ran with all on very high..hah 15 fps..WOW thats low...my comp sucks =(

That Far Cry 2 run was on optimal while yours was on Ultra High. The 9800M GTX should get higher, when compared due to the extra memory. Also, that run had the 4850s overclocked to 550/900.

keep the everything the same and up the shader to 1675.(you could just do the gpu run you don't have to go through everything.)

it seems to be unstable for some reason.

can you go higher than 690? I'd say reduce everything else a bit while upping the core (if possible). If that doesn't work, bump the shaders or memory (but not both). Seems like one of the three components might be unstable at higher speeds.

How about a single card run maxxed (what you used for your SLi runs). Something tells me you can push the clocks a bit further when running off 1 card compared to running it in SLi...

Edit: That brought me down to 10405.
