Just FSB upping, memory@ 1333 I got to 2.93ghz.. but it BSOD after like 5 min
Then when I tried to do 1235 FSB and 1235 Memory I couldn't start the system

and unlink you ram and cpu.

    up your multiplier to 10x

    pump you fsb to 2.93

let me know what happens and i'll tell you different things.

Let's say that i changed the first idea a bit...

TBH the site is only going up today/tomorrow because I'm not going to wait it be 100% done.

Simply... The divisor you got was more stable than 1:2 .

It only proves what I'm saying for weeks... unlike 1:1 1:2 isn't more stable than other decent divisors.

yup but take it one step at a time. don't just go mixing things unless you know the out come and try that and let me know what happens. i want to know what your computer can handle in each before it goes unstable.

Just a little OC and getting fair scores, I will push it more later. Also for a little humor, my windows experience index is reading all the way up for the little that it's worth HA HA.

This thread got lost from it's origin. It would be good to have a summary of scores that was reached from M17X owners.

What is the highest 3DMark 2006 and Vantage score? What's the score to beat???

lol I asked you to lower the ram because my theory is that it should lower the power and give some to your cpu. it's far fetched but worth a try.

as for the benchmarks. it's still the same. mr moo is very busy to update the first page with benchmarks.

unless someone has beaten it highest scores are

    3dmark06 16690 - kcissem
    Vantage 12044 - Mandrake

I believe those are still the top.

The CAS itself cannot be changed. It fluctuates based on the memory freq. So now to achieve better memory timings I'd have to flash a new spd.

This is true. As per my post a day or two ago , for some reason I cannot run vantage with physx disabled, I get stop errors in vantage. I have nothing runing in the background, and have tried different drivers too. I'm not givin up yet... ;)

You can keep it on if it helps. It's the GPU score everyone is looking at anyway. You can even skip the CPU tests.

Yeah just disable the CPU scores entirely . The Benchmark is long enough as it is and no one cares about the CPU scores anyhow and even less when Physx is running.

actually....the test needs to be fully ran so it can be posted to orb 1/2 3/4. which means all these tweaks and what not jive together to finish the run. it's too easy to just run gpu and bail out on the test. and your not verified until you posted it to orb. and for those running gpus like 280's and 260s...they seem to show up under the 180's and 160's on orb if you post them. we dont want to get like 3dmark06 where people we're flubbing scores acting like they really got that high. (just an opinion, but if it isn't orb verified. i just over look them) it needs to be submitted to count. we have been getting a bit lazy and the whole test actually does count. because to much of a cpu over clock may not allow the test to finish, just as to much of a gpu clock will do the same thing... there needs to be a balance and that's it. all my gpu scores we're submitted to orb. even if i did a gpu test first, i would go back and run the whole test to post on orb. because that is our only real ref for these numbers we pull.

According to Moo the score to beat is 16600. We really need to see some 17000 score on a M17X now...

This is just for us here(NBR) and once you start getting the the best scores out there then yes run the full test no doubt to have proof etc. But for now and for not wasting time and just sharing general info running the GPU score is fine. Obviously if someone posts something like "Oh i got 16000 on my GPU score" people would want proof but other then that this is just for giggles at the moment till someone breaks drakes score.
