if you think you can help by all means i have tried every driver i think i can get my hands on and tried different clock combinations, darn 2nd gpu test in vantage has 2 crash points, either right at the start as the big ship comes into view or as the ship opens the missile silos on the top and the dust/steam comes out

Can you post a screen shot of device manager and expand out the display adapters? Also what BIOS are you using?

not sure yet...ill know when i get my board back. i got another one for the time being and i dont want to put it under stress.

    sure, go ahead.
i did it and now there are 2 others in the 45k realm, but before...they we're having very hard time breaking 44k and 45k. i come in and have my setup for about 2 weeks and jumped right up to 45k then almost 46k before anyone could figure out how to get past 45k...lol...but i gave some of my advice and now they are in the 45k area as well. :)

I'm getting to the point where I need to be in front of that system to figure this out. Let me think about it some more. I just reinstalled my OS, threw on 3dmark06 and without any tweaks accept for my normal CPU OC I scored 16.3K.

Edit: Do you remember this problem before you upgraded to the A01 bios?

ok i fixed it finally. dont ask me how. i installed previous bios. then the new one again. then formated my ssd. then installed the stock driver. set sli.then installed the performance driver with hybrid enabled. then disabled hybrid.

whatever. i scored 16097 with sli enabled (without the hybrid enabled of course) and the 10x 1280 fsb memory. still less than with the hybrid enabled which i got 16300 as i posted before.

running occt now on 10.5x 1200/1200 for final clock of 3.15 GHz (fingers crossed)

edit: LinPack should test for stability just as well as regular OCCT: CPU right? I am running LinPack right now

10.5x 1200/1200 crashed using A01, flashed to A00 trying again now, so far it is 22 minutes in using OCCT: CPU and no issues

    update: 10.5x 1200/1200 A00 passed 1 full hour OCCT:GPU with no issues :)

    A00 3.2 (10x 1280/1280) - failed
    A00 3.2 (10.5x 1220/1220) - failed
    A00 3.2 (11x 1164/1164) - failed
    A00 3.2 (11.5x 1112/1112) - failed
    A00 3.2 (12x 1066/1066) - failed

It appears that 3.2 is the great wall of china for me :( And I don't think I can blame the ram sadly...Temps never over 73 btw (LOVE this cooling!)

final update - on the final reboot, my 9400m is on.......so I guess I will redo all those with confirmation that 9400m is OFF each time....lol DAMIT (I know it was turned off right after the bios flash :( )

Congrats on solving it. I can't help but think this was a bios issue.

If it makes you feel any better I never had any luck with my multiplier above 10. Have you tried default multiplier and 1333/1333 yet?

Edit: My x9100 hated when i changed my multi.

Just got my replacement unit yesterday and have been updating it and loading my software on it since. Just finished running 3d mark 06 at default settings with Norton running a scan in the background. Gotta say I was impressed.

I will push the cpu a bit more to find its max, then move on to the gpus. The benching with the virus scan was just to see if Norton could deliver on their promise of a faster software suite. Gotta say, it's much less of a system hog than most. Crap it's late.

    Nice screans and scores Hand.

Norton does allow for "on" or even "delay on" within the tune up settings. I am using Norton 360 3.0 just in case you wanted to know Mandrake. Compared the reg to premier, all the premier had was 25gb of online backup space compared to the 2gb with the reg.

On my Benchpartition: 3.06 GHZ (x11.5) is even stable. 3.2 GHz (x12) even Bluescreen on Windows Logon or seconds later.

On my Workpartition, 3.06 GHz even stable and 3.2 GHz is mostly stable.

    What is that??

    Nice scores still ;)

ok my results show that i solved the problem and it was not a bios issue but the fact that i was changing the ide controller from the nvidia one to the standard one so as to run a tool for my ssd (its called wiper). if it dont change this the wiper tool doesnt detect my ssd. dont worry i was changing it back to the nvidia after i run this tool and before i run benchmark. but something with the sli configuration was destroyed possibly even though it was enabled in nvidia control panel and the gpuz.

i changed my cpu to 3.125 ghz (10x multiplier, and 1250 fsb and memory) which is more than stable for my cpu. with the 1260 for fsb and memory i was getting blue screen rarely but it was annoying when it did. so i changed it a little bit lower
so here are my final results.

so 16334 points at 3.125 ghz and without overclocked gpus. i spent many hours on this. Mandrake what do you say now my friend?
