guys after searching for four days now and after 7 formats i found what was causing my sli configuration not to work. no it wasnt what i thought it was. it was just a software called tuneup utilities if you now. i used it to change my boot screen and stuff. after numerous efforts installing and uninstalling every software and trying benchmark06 i found the f.cking cause.
if someone wants to try, just for confirmation, just install tuneup utilities run benchmark06 and then uninstall it and try again. and only with the two gtx280s working in sli. somehow it didnt cause any problem when it was in hybrid sli. i would be pleased if someone could try that.
Mandrake can you spend a few minutes for this please? thanks

Well that's good to hear. What settings are people running with their 260's ?
Stock levels are:
550 Core Clock
950 Mem Clock
1350 Shader
Downloading 3dm06 to try it out. Right now. -
-
Drake, You think I should just ramp up to those levels? Or did 'Moo' do some other tricks to get that high?

MrButterBiscuits ~Veritas Y Aequitas~
Hey guys I finally got my M17x up to speed with windows 7... however I was running the dell beta drivers 186.12 before and started having problems... what other drivers would you recommend for gaming? I know of the Dox 186.24 and then the 190.38 drivers... however I didn't like the dox due to the impact on graphics

dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
then use batboy's drivers

Shirley has a T9900 ES that runs at 3.06 stock, and only uses 35w, I wonder how high someone could take that chip.

Here's my first run with my QX9300.
LINK -
yeh just slightly below mine, think i have good cards, just cant get the cpu high enough
-
just out of interest try clocking your cpu to 2.8ghz and run vantage on same gpu score, see how much it drops by, if nay
-
-
oh leave me alone took me ages to get that score lol
-
But you instigating it with that sig of yours...lol
-
only seeing as you pointed it out, get back to your x9100
-
I haven't even decided which CPU I'm keeping. I like both.
-
well i was contemplating getting the X9100 instead of the Qx9300 but i dont know tbh
i want an unlocked bios  -
Well, I got my qx9300 in today.. no big issues.. went lots easier than I anticipated which is good.. So far multi only stable up to 10.5 with stock fsb/mem in bios... trying mulple combos right now with clock and fsb... highest OC so far is 2.897 - 2.9...
Every time i try to do a 1:2 ratio i get BS when vista boots(1-2 min)
I got lots of testing to do to try and find best combo.. at 9.5 multi seems like a 1220 - 1225 fsb is the highest i can go before bs
If i touch mem settings in bios I get guaranteed BSOD.
Wondering if Ram is holding me back.. I know i couldn't get as high of an OC on this system compared to my first one... -
Now you can delete that sig of yours. -
kilthro,
What happened to the Q9000 benchmarks? -
Sorry... I wanted to get some done before the upgrade but life *cough* my wife *cough* threw a curve ball at me... My higher priority was to install the proc -
I'd give you rep if I knew how to/could. -
How's my benchmark?

give in, well done -
By the way ran my FSB and Memory at 1066 for that run and had my multiplier at 12. -

I will play around with maximum OC if I can find the time, but so far 3.15 it is for me
Will now play around with my GPU's some -

Ok 3.15 isn't bad though.
