the3vilGenius 3vil knows no fear
here are my 2 benchmarks. one is vantage and one is 3dmark 06
-
they are all good for stock ...
-
Wait, his vantage scores are:
P 10898
CPU: 22749
GPU: 9286
While mine at stock are:
P 7907
CPU: 5440
GPU: 9315
What's wrong with this picture? We seem to have almost the same setup. 260's in SLI and T9600 (since his sig says 2.8).
-
he has physix on
-
And that pushes his T9600 and 260's so much higher than mine?
I don't even remember if I ran it without physx now... not into benchmarks for sure... -
your GPU was higher and yes the physix will make it look like that
-
Ummmm... My own post confused me. GPU CPU, CPU GPU...
OK, thanks Moo. -
Here's my single 280 stock Vantage run.
I have Win7 installed with 186.91 and the CPU is at ~2.7GHz.
Not that good.... lolAttached Files:

sorry mate i couldnt resist

How do I install the A00 BIOS again? Setup runs not automatically and phlas16.exe will not run.
"This version is not compatible with your Windows Version." -
cookinwitdiesel Retired Bencher
its all good Pman, I still got a hefty score
Handshake, I always flashed the bios through windows (usually by accident but never has failed to work yet) -
DOS FTW
windows is ok just make sure you have a dos drive and a back up of the rom -
Didn't Johnksss post the diagram of the MCP here before or was it the stuttering thread? I can't find it but I want to see it again. Anyone know where it is?
-
Was it like the one on this page?

if you scroll down? I kinda remember it

yes, thanks...rep

Since I had mentioned it but owe you all a screenshot, here is the current laptop GPU record for 3DMark Vantage. Got this on 9/5/2009

Scook -- The Benchmark King™
hahahah -
cookinwitdiesel Retired Bencher
just making it official
-
Yep.
Sweet scores, BTW. Do you know if that is the highest on NBR (even including the Clevo fanboi section)? -
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
It is the highest gpu score for laptops.....
-
cookinwitdiesel Retired Bencher
You forgot some Donda
-
Well, duh.
You think I'm that dumb? There are 40k plus vantage scores for desktops... lol -
damn don..you let him call you a fanboi?
-
Wait... WHAT?
Seeing as how Don is getting an M17x, he can't be tagged with the clevo fanboi label. lol
A true clevo fanboi wouldn't get an AW! hahaha
I wouldn't buy a Clevo so you can call me a Dell or AW fanboi, I suppose
-
nah, i just wanted to hear the reply. me and don could careless about most of these forum slang terms that are used.
fanboi
troll
and the few others floating around.
and 46.8k vantage...that would be me...
-
Dang! That is some SERIOUS friggin' horsepower, john.
Jeez.
Can it play crysis? (sorry, had to do it
)
-
rotflmao!
funny you should mention that...i was playing crysis when i seen the fanboi thing and just had to rib you about it...lol
pulling in about 70 to 100 fps avg running maxed out with 16xAA @1920x1200. no modded config. -
You, my friend, have one wicked a$$ gaming system....
-
John,
With that kind of power you could almost rent your rig out to some oil companies, or even university bio labs to cure something. I would be scared to see what you could do with some of the business end GPUs. Ya I know there not for gaming, but sounds like you could build one hell of a rendering King rig. -
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
Lol. Hell no i'm not a fanboy of anything. What ever is the best out there, i'm going to get it or I won't deny it.
Funny you say about the fanboy. When I was in the w90 section about two months back, someone called me an alienware fanboy(note: I had a owned a whitebook) I was going to let him have it but I was to late
-
cookinwitdiesel Retired Bencher
he could just flash the cores of his GTX 295's to be a quadro card (whatever the GTX275 quadro equivalent is - if it exists)
Don't quote me on this but I think it may/could work
Nice fps though John for sure. I was playing warhead yesterday and getting 60 fps constant during the mine part with all settings at 2nd to top (gamer?) no AA and 1920x1200 -
Soviet Sunrise Notebook Prophet
Ah, one of my favorite topics. Calling other people fanboys.
-
I'm no fanboy
I just can reconize a superior system
wish I could get a sager
Then I could join their club
And get a fanboi status there because I would try to make helpful guides -
thanks!
lol
i game when im not benching
whole system is running about 2200 watts when benching.
gaming is far less...about 1700 watts total.
loading up warhead now...
will let you know in little while how it fairs.
cpu over clocked
gpu's stock
no AA
enthusiast was 75 fps@1920x1200
gamer was 93 fps @1920x1200 -
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
I got 15fps on my 9800m gtx @1920*1200 very high no aa.
(I know you are talking about desktops but I wanted to put my two cents in
)
-
quite the big difference between the two...kind of why i switched to desktops for a bit.
running the 16xQ now to see if there is any change.
my d901c got like 30. and it was struggling for that.
edit:
well dammn...i dont think AA is working...it still shows 74 fps @ 16xQ -
On my M17x no OC (with latest drivers and patches) I get about 20-25 fps highest settings with 8xAA for Crysis Warhead, although it can drop to about 15 fps in some places.
-
do you like to play with AA? cuz i don't see any difference with AA on or off.
-
Soviet Sunrise Notebook Prophet
I can't tell the difference between 4x and 8x MSAA. If you turn on transparency MSAA or SSAA, you can easily tell the difference in Crysis.
-
What exactly does anti-aliasing do? I've never played a game with it lol
-
Soviet Sunrise Notebook Prophet
What exactly does Google do? I've never searched things I don't know with it lol.
-
Oh well thank you for the tip, handsome
-
Personally, I've never found anti-aliasing to make much of a difference unless its an older game. At least not at 1920 resolution. Lower resolutions you can see a strong difference but not so much at 1920.
Now FFVII and FFVIII, on the other hand, benefit nicely from a custom graphics driver and a 32xQ SLI AA boost lol. -
cookinwitdiesel Retired Bencher
AA is mostly useful at lower resolutions
I have never used or missed it with 1920x1200.....all the edges and vanishing points look right to me....but I usually focus more on playing the game than the pretty graphcis to be honest -
Well AA is useful at lower resolutions on 17" screens... but I can tell you there is a HUGE difference when I'm running my laptop to my 1080p Bravia between AA and no AA.
-
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
i just turned everything up. the only game i don't do aa in is crysis and warhead. for everything else. it's maxed out also. i don't like not maxing out games. it bothers me.
-
Soviet Sunrise Notebook Prophet
That's because you're spoiled. -
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
what's make you think i'm spoiled?????????????
-
cookinwitdiesel Retired Bencher
Ya I max everything in all other games, but I play mainly Crysis haha (for some reason I can just play that game over and over - but I sense Gears of War will get a replay soon)
Oh yea and UT3 but that requires like nothing to get 60 fps lol
M17x Benchmarks thread !!!
