Roxy, you are an exception to the rule to be sure, consider yourself lucky (because I would ;)). Most of them take 10-14 business days to complete from order placement to ship. At least, that seems to be the broad consensus from users on this forum.

It could also depend on how often shipments leave malaysia.. they might only ship once or twice a week in bulk. So people who order closer to shipment vs someone who order earlier and got 6 days added.

But who knows? I just know i want mine :p

i now have the 4GB Dual Ch. DDR3 at 1066MHz...and does 1333 make that big of a difference..i see allot of ppl here went that way..

and let say later i wanted to buy a 1333 can i still keep my 1066 in or do they all have to be the same?

I would be more than happy to. :D Let's take Crysis as one example. Trying to run Crysis on full high definition will bog any system down. Especially a system with a 260gtx which is equivalent to a 9800 desktop graphics card. If you lower the resolution of said game, you will achieve higher framerates and have a better overall gaming experience. Granted, the 260 is no slouch and can run many games at full resolution, but you will probably have to turn some details off to get a smooth as silk framerate. That is what I meant by it depends on the game. Games such as WOW, City of Heroes/villians, are older and therefore can be run at full resolution. Geez, I feel like I rambled. I hope that helps Roxy. I will be more than happy to try to elaborate a bit more. :D

Edit: In reference to Grid, if I am not mistaken, it is taking more advantage of the quad cores (similar to GTA IV), which explains why there is great FPS on full definition. :)

I dunno about other people, but my vision isn't that great and I prefer it that way because that way I have built in AA, so can't see the jaggies, that gives me a performance boost because I don't even need AA. I'm not sure how the 260GTX m performs with AA ramped up, but surely the performance drop would be pretty steep if too high?

You got it, the performance drop would not be too steep, but it definitely would be noticeable. It does not perform as well unless running in SLI. (again, depending on game and overall setup) Now, if you are running a 1600x900 display, then you can pretty much ramp up the AA and the 260 should have no problems at all. If you are running a game with Phys X and AA..that is a different story you will probably have to sacrifice one for the other, unless again, you are running in SLI :D I must be studying too much, because I seem to be rambling in my posts. Sorry all! :)

why does eveyone want to play crysis on the M15x with a 260"m" gtx. It is roughly equal to the gts 250 desktop gpu with less cores. Just look up those benchmarks and you see sub 30fps depending on cpu with medium settings.

Crysis was just being used as an example. The discussion was more along the lines of what you can and cannot play on high with the 260. I think people primarily use crysis as a benchmark to see how much their rig can take. :D

Ummm, earlier when I run everything maxed ( even 8x aa ) it ran just fine. A bit laggy for a bit when it comes to crowded areas such as towns but thats expected. I really like the game - but then again, there are people who don't so I have no idea if you'll end up liking it or not. I have a spare account if you want to play for a bit ( just to see if the game interest you and what not ). I don't mind lending it to you. ( lol and it's not like you can steal the account from me or anything so it's all good )

yeah, i do too, but only for a few months out of the year (summer and winter break) when we cant stay on campus.

how is the size of the notebook? bigger than you expected or just about what u expected? im going from an m17 to this M15x, so i hope it's at least a little bit smaller because the m17 was a complete pain to lug to class everyday.

would it be too much to ask for a video review? :D i could only find like 2 unboxing videos on youtube, and no reviews

Hmm, it's a bit bigger than I thought - and of course... it's quite heavy! lol. ( well compared to my other 15" dell lappy ) but eh, not necessarily bad or anything though.

Hmm... video review... I don't know if I want to do that. * shy *
Anyhow, here's my tiny bedroom... T_T

really? my first reaction when i switched from the diamondback to the g9 is that the g9 is a much smaller mouse. ive gotten used to it since then but i dont know if its necessarily a good mouse for someone with large hands
