1920x1080 is a $150 option on US page.
It is a $0 option upgrade on UK/Europe pages. Must be a mistake. Im gonna order asap before they change it and see if they honour it (probably won't). Managed to find the EPP M15x page for my region.
-
yup what happen with M17X and EPP Drake. I wasnt around for that can you enlighten me I do want complete care. this is holding up my purchase.
-
what kind of discount can we have ? i live in france, so i'm not sure if "epp" applies to me..
where could i get this kind of info ? maybe by ordering it directly over the phone ? -
It took them 3 days to make it available for EPP.
-
Appreciate it thank you. I will wait then no sense in doing so I wonder if doinf an online chat will help. Then again I dont want to deal with CSR who are clueless either. lol
-
EPP is finally working all!.. Have at it!
-
ETA ship date is 10-21 why not just wait and order 10-22 and get full install of win7 instead of crap upgrade?
-
The upgrade coupon is for a downloadable version of WIN7? or is it a coupon to order the upgrade anyone? I rather have it the day of release rather than wait 4 to 6 weeks for them to send it.
-
I know its off topic...but that new desktop design looks fantastic too...
-
yeah but on the uk site it doesn't say that the 1920x1080 screen is WLED or not...
-
I am hoping they could surprise us afterall. If so close to win 7 release, maybe they will already come pre-loaded? Okay, okay, I am pushing it, but a man can dream can't he?
-
I have been working with the new desktop for over 2 months now and its the most desktop personally I have seen in person.

They should have at least put a 4870 for the M15x... -
Are you going to get the 4870s for your M17x?
-
Yes when they become available.
-
I am trying to see when they can be purchased seperatly now.
-
I find it so odd that the 4870 is available for the M17x now, but not available as an option for the m15x. Granted, I am okay with the 260, but I would have liked the option for the 4870. First sad face about the M15x
-
Hmmm, no integrated graphics, no HDMI and only a 260GTX at this stage........I'm not sold on this one and actually slightly disappointed...
-
i agree. At least it makes my decision easier to go with the 17x. Now if only they would throw on a LED screen I would very happy.
-
Cool, get part numbers of you can.
-

-
$2823 before EPP discount and taxes.
-
I am loving that they put an option for dual 4870s in Crossfire in the M17X. Thats my machine for sure.
-
$2624 USD
10 char
-EDIT- That's with a 1-Yr Warranty, not 2. -
I'm trying to order one on the European site now,but it seems to be having a bit of a fit.....
-
Marvie, is that for a config similar to mine? How did you get yours lower? Just curious!
-
umm wow.
-
don't forget though, I added the 9 cell battery and blu ray. I was expecting that amount anyway..especially with a 2 yr warranty. You know what, I will just join you....it is a bit much isn't it?
-
I already have on in my cart with my big discount.
I am pretty pissed though. Why couldn't they slap 1 4870 in the M15x?
I am happy that the M17x got the 4870 love. Anyone know if it is DDR5?? -
you and that boeing discount... *mumbles under breath*...
-
so sleey0 I lost track of all your orders/cancellations. Did you end up getting an M17x or not?
-
DOES ANY1 KNOW IF THE 4870 IS DDR5?
I might hold out on the M15x depending on this answer
-
Hey Sleey0, what are you getting in that M15x?
-
what kind of discount... I will need some heavy persuading to get me back on the 15x boat, as I will be using my Alienware Titanium Account and only have $2500 to work with
-
I have the 820, wuxga, 260 selected.
Everything else stock. -
You know what the new Aurora looks like?

Unfortunately Ty, they do not take the Titanium account anymore.. only Dell Prefered Account.. DPA as it is known around here. Sorry about that.
-
according to notebookcheck it is...
-
Obsess much? LOL. Seriously though, 4870 is "supposed" to have GDDR5 but so was the 4850s so who knows.
-
I knew you would not be able to resist
.
-
According to Asus it wasn't.
-
I am torn, quad.
I guess I could give it a whirl and return the thing if I don't like it, right? -
Wasn't the Asus card 512MB? Different card.
-
That is the million dollar question. I've been trying to find that out myself.
-
really? is it odd that they don't send you a notice? weird on my last bill (august) it still showed my Credit limit...
-
These are 4870XTs and these cards are built by ATI . The Asus cards were built by Asus and they just called them what they wanted . Still not positive though on the whole DDR5 simply based on the comment of DDR3 in the bios update for the M17x.
-
You can use the titanium acct on www.alienware.com NOT www.dell.com;)
Think one would fit in the M15x? -
Return the M17x with the 260 and put the 280 on the M15x
-
Yeah you may just want to do that. Try and see if its all that .
Gotta love dells "Award winning return policy"
.
