You might want to talk to Daniel at (800) 456-3355 ext 2160092. I'm pretty sure he just gave me bluetooth for free.

lol nuts, I was told by two reps order needed to be canceled and replaced. That would've saved me some hassle.. and time. Now I'm back in "order processing" land.

It's just an advertisement. If you look at that side before selecting the su7300, it talks about i3. But I think you find that on all of the different order pages.

Man, the SU7300 clocked at 1.6ghz with the 335m 1gb will be one serious little rig :)

Ordered the M11x once I found the clocking option out and will now cancel my CW27FX order. I already have a loaded Q8200 system for gaming. The M11x will be its Mini-Me ;)

whats the difference between the pentium and core 2 duo? the tech specs on intel site only show the l2 cache difference of 1 mb and the core 2 duo supports virtualizaton vt technology.

any real life performance difference? also, is the cpu overclockable in the bios for both cpu options?

man.. its supposed to be below 1000 and here in singapore its 1700 for the stupid pentium cpu, 4gb 1066 ram and 320gb hdd -.-

Less than a 5% performance difference between CPU's, both should be OCable, but no way to know for sure.

any idea when the i5s or i7s will be coming for the system? cos when selecting the processors they have an ad saying upgrade to i7 now!

and any speculation how much performance increase the ulvi7s will give? will they be quad core?

Just an ad, new chips a minimum 6-8 months away, you could see decreased battery life, and no performance increase over an OCed Su7300.

There is no reliable timeframe for the i5/i7 processors. Some people say summer, others October. That i5/i7 picture on the side is just an ad for every system.

All I can say is that when I get this, the first thing I'm doing is overclocking. I can't wait to see this bad boy with 1.6 or 1.8ghz under the hood.

Yes it should be able to output to whatever resolution your monitor/tv is.

If you need a powerful laptop as a desktop replacement then don't get this. But if you already have something powerful like a desktop or laptop then this is great for those who want portability with power mixed in.

so ur certain the cpu is ocable?

if so then will the pentium or c2d have better oc abilities? its just 80 dollars difference and i would go for the c2d if i can reach about 1.7ghz but if its the same i guess ill go for the pentium

Yes as someone posted earlier a reviewer OCed his to 1.6 and it only gained 1C in temperature. No one knows if the Pentium can OC as well or not because no review models have that equipped.

I'm thinking of signing up for their DPA.... 12 months at 0% for a $700 computer doesn't seem bad at all. Has anyone had a hard time getting the 3% off? What do I do? Just call them?

I think I may just order the base model, which after EPP/$50coupon/3%/tax/shipping, will come out to just a hair above $700. I could go ahead and just throw $400 on the account after I buy it, and then I only have a $25/month payment. I could afford it now, but it'd be nice to throw the extra $$$ in my savings.

But, then, I have a 15" MBP. Do I really *need* this? Probably not.... but do I want it? Hell yes I do!! Decisions, decisions....

How hard is it to be approved? Anyone know? I only have a few years of credit history, but it's flawless. Score is around 700. I have a credit limit much, much higher than the price of this laptop from Citi, so I'd imagine Dell would have no problems approving me. But I don't want a hard pull and then get denied.

Sorry for thinking out loud ;p

All I need it for is if I'm ever on a second screen is to program so I can have my console on one side and my code and specs on the large screen. Haha, I'm REAAAAAAALLY tempted to get both this and that G73 that's on preorder @ Asus so I'll have one at home and one to take to school. I have enough money, but I think the inner college student in me will feel this later on.

that does matter a lot haha. I hope it's true, b/c the black in the videos are fingerprint crazy. Only reason I opted for it was b/c I didn't like the bright silver look in the configuration photo, I was thinking it'd be more gray, and in the hardware heaven review, that color looks awesome, like my car (Storm Silver Metallic) hehe

Haha, because I have the habit of lugging my box around even with a laptop. I think for the money I'm (hopefully will be) paying and specs I'm getting on the G73 plus the luxury of transporting both quickly. It saves me a lot of time and effort. Plus, it's an extra body on an extra machine at my girlfriend's house (probably the girlfriend) if we ever LAN and play something. :D

I do get where you're coming from though. I had a Dell XPS 420 and that was a b---- to carry around though. Along with that monitor. No way, Jose, not anymore. 'Twas a good workout though.

...looking if my college deals with Dell.

Really up to you, for me Bluetooth is a must, all my accessories are BT, and nothing beats pulling out a mouse, keyboard, headphones, and just turning it all on and getting to work, without having to plug in multiple USB adapters or worry with cables or anything.

However, if you don't have the BT stuff, and don't intend to get any, then BT may not even be worth the $20 for you.

You are looking at a 20% performance increase, as in the same kinda boost you would get from upgrading to a UM i5 processor, and all you do is turn one options to yes.

It is better because its faster, for free.

Agreed, I would of easily dropped 50 bucks if that is what I had to do.
