Well our 11" has an attitude problem. Its AWESOME. LOL just joking btw The extra mass is all due to having to have proper cooling for the components (cue the huge colourshifting fan). Some laptops might have better looking specs, but if you want a sub-14 incher built to game, this is it. You're entitled to your opinion, and me to mine soooo lets leave it at that and spam smileys

loook around your area to see if you have a US jurisdiction city/post office near you! I'm just number crunching right now and paying tax twice is cheaper than ordering through dell canada (after factoring in exchange rates and taxes for both US and canada)=[. So i might make my purchasse soon

I believe the 335m is better than the 240m according to that one laptop benchmarking site lol. Don't know about 330m though.

 

According to this thread, the grant priviledges job only runs every few hours...I suppose I should wait patiently until then. (Or, go to sleep and worry about it in the morning!)

 

even the laptop 's cooling is really built for gaming.
but people who getting it 's eye is not...

some people said they can bring a LCD screen with them to lan party..

if this unit is a 13.3" screen with the same spec!!!

335 is 223 GFlops
240 is 174 Gigaflops
330 is 182 Gigaflops

 

About the same.
330M is slightly faster

 

Furyagain you are getting really annoying. Did the admin not say to stop comparing in this thread?! So hush!

 

It's understandable for some to justify their purchase, so they start comparing apples and oranges. If you are happy with yours then just enjoy it... there is really no need keep telling us how it's that and this. m11x first perfectly my need, gaming power, battery life and portable design for travel.

 

The HDMI and DisplayPort ports are there for a reason. The 11" is for on the go. When you game, hook it up to AC power, ext monitor and mouse. My idea of how to use it.

 

second that! still, an external mouse is needed for gaming in any occasions.

 

Will the M11x have an option to have discrete graphics on POWER and integrated on battery or will it need to be shifted all the time?

 

then what is the point of having something portable
a well built mini atx rig + a eee pc will be better for you then. lol

There's a switch to do the switching somewhere on the chassis i think.

 

No there is FN + F6 to do it but I was wondering if it could be set.

EDD is out! online status showed 3/3 but gave the CS a call and was told me it's gonna be on or before 2/17. whom should i trust then?

Going to use as is, that's the reason I picked up Ultimate! When I get around to getting an SSD I will reformat!

gonna play with it for a few minutes, then reformat with one of my win7 pro licenses from the student discounts.

if you are planning to use your M11x with the new set i'd recommend an LCD television instead. plasma and extended static images do not play well together.

its going to be the same as the M15x. its not really part of the "screen" per se, its a thin sheet of lexan that sits a few millimeters in front of the lcd. lets hope this one isn't as prone to trash in between

That's great but you forgot a few key things:

1) Those are core clocks. Core clocks mean a lot less than shader clock. Yes the GT 330M is "up to 1265MHz" while the GT 335M is listed at "1080 MHz" hence the GFlops are closer than the 50% increase in SP's, but the difference is there.

2) Given the way Nvidia ties TMU's and ROPs to the # of shaders, the configuration of the GT 330M is most likely 48 SP's, 16 TMU's, 8 ROPS. At 72 SP's, the GT 335M is most likely 24 TMU's, and 12 ROPs, which makes a big difference for games.

And where are you getting your clocks anyways? I don't think they've ever been officially listed. And wikipedia isn't accurate either..

 

ahh was relieved to have been told that the 3/3 is the earlier EDD before it was updated today. the new one stands at 2/19, after numerous calls and confirmation made.

it will take at least day before it will be up on the site, mate. but you're able to check your order status via phone as long as you have your order number with you.

and my 330m does show 575
and from hardwareheavens \s m11x review. it does showed 450mhz on 335m

 

Well give Mass Effect 2 a try and put em all on maxxed settings at native reso. If it runs as well or better than as IGN said the m11x would handle it then good on ya. If not, then tough luck. And while you're at it, let us obsess over this beaut in peace Peace out, bruh!
