is the su7300/4100 soldered to the board or socket type?
-
-
-
Don't forget the SU7300 supports vt-x (hardware virtualization) while the 4100 does not.
If you want to run XP mode in Windows 7, or run any virtual machines in general, then the SU7300 is a must. -
Though I was doubting the CPU choice- battery life, the ability to overclock safely and not compromise the heat level and power consumption much, tipped me into buying it. -
Have to wait till Friday to confirm final price and shipping.. Owh well. Hope boss gets me a really good price.
-
If you are going to advertise it as a gaming laptop - it wouldn't have hurt to have at least a core 2 duo 2 ghz.. Meh. Not all games are weighted heavily by GPU performance compared to CPU >.<.
-
There is a new 100$ off 1000$ EPP Coupon now floating around that stacks. I called and canceled my other order and used this coupon now which basically netted me a free bluetooth and hard drive upgrade.

It didn't apply my 3% DPA so I am going to call and have the order modified so I can get 3% DPA. -
You guys are so lucky that you have such discounts available ....
We Malaysians are unlucky..I Only managed to get $73.5 rebate..
For this Spec:
-SU7300
-4GB DDR3
-320GB 7200rpm
-3 Years Premier Service & 3 years Complete Cover
-Bluetooth 2.1
Which is $1,222.82
It's so damn expensive over here in Malaysia!!!!!!!! -
How will this laptop handle - Starcraft 2 / Diablo 3 (the only games, I would in the future, be realistically playing)?
-
-
-
Seeing as my current laptops GPU is dead - I may just get this and put a hold on my desktop rig. I am just worried that they may add better CPU/GPU options in the coming months on this system...

If the M11x would be your main computer, it would probably not be the best choice. I have a loaded Q8200 desk top, so wanted something very portable and with good battery for trips (including planes). The M11x fits this perfectly.
If I did not have the Q8200 system, I would have kept my CW27FX order from Best Buy. i5-530, 330m, 500gb with Blu-ray and 14" display. THAT would be a great main device if no desk-top. Fairly portable and more power, but about one third the battery life (half with the more expensive extended battery).
I bought my CW27FX for $950 (not counting tax). Returning for more portable M11x. -
Im afraid they rush their assembly and its not done well -
-
-
product specs state the height is 32.7mm (1.29 inches)...is this with the lid closed or open? (and this is the thickness correct?)
-
-
-
What kind of HD is everyone getting? Is 160 or 250 to small?
-
-
How I wish Dell US would ship to UK - I wouldn't mind paying $100 extra on delivery costs
.
-
I told you guys not to explode while I slept :O Not only did you explode, but you introduced TWO new coupons that I can't even use!
How rude!
But it looks like Dell finally processed my credit card, so yay! All hail the Almighty Dell! -
Plus we seem to have delivery ETA's of next week!!! -
lol!!!
U$350,00 off!
you are amazing.
too bad i cant buy it now.
i dont live in us, and dont have the money right now.
hope i can get that many discounts when i decide to buy it. -
Can someone compile a list of discount codes? I see some scattered here and there, many the same, it's hard to tell what's what?
-
Is there any additional discounts one might get besides the $100, student, and $50 epp one?
-
-
-
-
-
It's been been almost 24 hours for me; and it's still processing. -
Just curious.... how much will this thing be when they refresh it with i5/i7?
-
I would think it would be the same price. Just like the M17x versions. The i7 came out and started at the same price but instead the older version went down $100.
-
-
It it will only make sense either if the battery live is not dimished significantly, or it stays an option for people who for some odd reason don't care about battery.
Anyway, hard to tell. Find out what the current price for the cpu offert now is, and compare it to the i5/i7 one. Also you have to take into account it needs a whole new motherboard which also be more expensive since its more recent... My guess is between $150 and $400 more..
But only if that refresh comes in rather soon. If it takes another half a year, you may get it for the same price. -
you can see the discounts on the first page!
50$ off for subscribing to a newsletter
100$ off for systems oer 1000$
10% (rougly 100$) for epp
and theres a guy claiming he has used another 100$ off system 1000$, but he didnt shared the code.
350$ off if u sum it all. -
$150-400 isn't too bad - for the reassurance your system won't get bottlenecked.
-
The $100 discount ends tomorrow! Better make my decision soon then.

Holy Cow! $254 off + free shipping with tax = $836.98 for SU7300, 4GB RAM, 320GB 7200RPM, Bluetooth. I'm sold. It's $300 more than my Toshiba, but it's 5x as powerful. Anyone want to buy a Toshiba T115D-S1125 barely used? LOL. Shipping March 5. Dang, that's a long time.
-
Anyone having issues with the Dell Status Order website? I am getting 500 errors.
-
what is this 3% discount everyone is talking about?
-
Big thanks to Steve I was on edge again with my second order and the $100 off gave me reason to reorder for third time. lol This time got the lunar silver (hope it's more gray), su7300 c2d, 4gb ram, Bluetooth, and 256gb ssd all for ~$1068 before tax. Total after tax with free shipping was $1142.
I think I got a terrific deal. Hell I could sell the ssd and have my M11x for ~$700. So thanks Steve and major thanks to my dad's work epp. I'll have to call him -
LOL I just canceled and ordered again because of all these coupons added the 250gb HD to get the price over 1000 for another $100 off! The price is actually pretty good now with all the discounts.

does anyone if I could take zip drive and take all of my microsoft office stuff off my old computer and install in the m11x? I rather not pay for it again. I don't think I have the disk either.
