*OFFICIAL* M11x Order Status Discussion Thread

^^ seems like the majority of peeps getting this week are those who had Feb 28th EDD initially... aka UK orders

 

Yeah I have a problem though, when I click on my Tracking Number it says "The Order Number entered did not match the Customer Number"? Anybody else got that in the UK? I'll have to talk to a rep later ..

 

I see what happened now. The first time I called I used the 1-800-ALIENWARE number. That number said I was in the building phase. I called back a second time but I used the Dell Order Status number: 1-800-433-9014 and it said I was in the processing phase. I called the 1-800-ALIENWARE number again moments ago and now it says that my order is preparing to be shipped! I'm hoping that the 1-800-ALIENWARE number is accurate and that my order will be shipped soon!

 

:/ my billing info and shipping info went to n/a now when i look up my info what happened Q_Q..

 

What does the status say? If it says changed, then this is not good.

 

I'm still stuck in "Order Processing" T_T

 

Bleh I ordered on Feb 2 and I won't get mine until the 8th of March.

 

Same happened to me on 2/10ish. Called dell to see what was up, and a rep said that everything is fine. Still says N/A for me but I'm hoping for the best.

US eh? nice, what was your config? I'm US too, patiently waiting. I searched and saw you ordered on 2/3, same as me =) my EDD though is 3/4. Has the website order status EDD changed for you?

 

Ordered 2/2 and still not shipped. :-(

 

I'm currently in boxing stage but eta is still 3/4 (overnight shipping included).

 

You original EDD won't update until Dell prepares the label and it ships.

So it is normal to be in boxing and still have a 2 week EDD. Once it ships the EDD will show as "(updated)".

 

Cool! Good to know. Hopefully it'll arrive soon.

 

I don't even have an EDD, and its been more than a week since my order.

Still build phase for me. *sigh* I'm going to be checking every day now, I really want to have it next week for my break.

 

My shipping and billing addresses have both been shown as n/a in my order status. I emailed dell about it and that's how i get next day air for free. Thus far I'm still in 'build stage' and waiting for a 3/4 arrival date T_T.

 

An EDD of 3/4 sounds like he ordered in US on Feb. 3rd and got next-day shipping.

Well, US order here, just checked my order status, I am in the "boxing" stage. My final order was on 2/3 with an EDD of 3/4. At the end of the call they recording still stated that my estimated ship date was 3/3.

It is reassuring atleast that the computer is moving along, it would be great to get it by the weekend, but I know that will not happen.

 

Hmmm, the couple times I called and talked to a rep, they said they weren't even shipping US units until March 1.

yea, I don't think that's the case anymore. Boxing stage doesn't take 2 weeks.

 

@wingnut = I preferred Ford Prefect better. Any ideas if the UK people really would get theirs before USA?

It looks like a race now. Some UK people have em shipped and some US people are getting em boxed.

I am from CANADA and since day one it's In Production, am I suppose to see the stages that you guys are talking about if so how or where can I get a more detailed info.

No, but we will see if they are actually shipping. Status updates are always questionable. What happened to Chinese New Year's time off? LOL. I'm not complaining because I hope to get mine before 3/3.

I may have to change back to Don't Panic because I keep getting that comment. Didn't realize HHGTTG was that popular. I remember reading them all when they were initially released and also playing through the Infocom text adventure... oh the memories (lol).

Europe folks seem that they were slated to get theirs before US for some time.


There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason why some people's are getting built more quickly than others, even those that had theirs ordered same day with similar specs.

 

I'm actually the exact same order/ship/delivery dates as you. But any comparison to the great Holmes is more than welcome.

@wingnut = ROFL I liek my improbability drive. So the brits might win this one out... Funny how there was an aussie who said his got shipped on the 16th i think.

 

I ordered 2/3 as well and is in the "build" stage, estimate ship 3/3. I got a custom nameplate and pretty much common components (SU7300, 4GB, 320GB, BT). I don't know how everyone else is getting lucky getting free upgraded shipping. Nobody cared to offer me that.

 

I got the SU7300, 4GB RAM, 160GB HDD, Bluetooth, and AT&T Gobi WWAN so if my order stage changes to "boxing" then we'll know none of those components are in short supply just yet. ;D

Especially regarding the boxing stage:

 

As long as there's some movement in my order, I'll be happy. It's nice to know that the boxing stage only takes 4 days, although it might be longer since this laptop seems to defy all laws of Dell ordering.

Ordered on 2/4 with an EDD of 3/5 (Next day shipping), but am also now in the boxing stage.

 

Ordered the system with the 3 year Advanced coverage. Not gonna make the same mistake I made with my m15x with only doing the 1 year .

And I just checked and I'm at "In Production" now I remember it taking forever to get to that point with my m15x and my ALX.

 

I am still in the build stage /wrist. Ordered 2/3 EDD 3/4.

 

Just checked my status of mine and my EDD changed from 3/12 to 3/10 looks like i got upped to Next Business Day Shipping. :] Hopefully my order gets expedited.

man i wish order status page or phone had Much more detail on the exact status of your order... if its in the build stage what % is complete... etc.
