    Well the payment finally cleared out of my account, after hovering in cleared balance / last night's balance limbo for a week. I'm taking that to mean that it's at least in production. No notable change to order status of course, but any glimmer of progress is better than nothing. (glass half full post - expect glass half empty post in a few days when I've been waiting painfully ;) )

    Awesome, only change on my pre-order (SU7300, 4GB, 500GB) from when I ordered it on 2-6 was "5-7 day shipping" changed to a reassuring "7 day shipping." EDD of 3-10 still holds. US buyer here.

    On this note, where do you guys go to get such statuses like "boxing" or whatnot?

    This is getting very confusing . .
    I ordered 2/2 (US) - my online EDD is 3/9 and on the phone it is 3/5
    However - online it says I am "in Production" but on the phone it says I am in "Order Processing" - the only answer I can get from a Rep is that it is "In Production" .....sheesh . . Who or what is to believed ?

    The phone gives you the date that the laptop will ship, and online gives you the estimated date it will arrive at your house. I was pushed to the boxing stage, but my EDD is still 3/4. My guess is that the EDD will be pushed up once they get ready to ship the laptop. They are just being careful to over deliver/under promise.

    gah! knowing my lappy is completed and sitting on a pallet in some far off country makes me want to pull an Indiana Jones and make a dotted line across the earth and "rescue" my treasure from some warehouse full of nazis.....     Our company does a lot of business with Dell, so we have a few contacts. FWIW, there is apparently a delay due to (believe it or not) power cords?????

    Yes, you read this correctly. The supplier for their power cords has shorted them. This will cause as many days of delay as it takes to get them in. You would think it is a standard cord, but apparently it is not.

    A specialist for order resolution also told me this, so must be at least some accuracy to it. Some will get their orders sooner if they were already allocated and in boxing- this is where the chords are applied.

    Talked to a dell rep. N/A's showing for my addresses are not a problem, they still have the correct bill-to and ship-to addresses in their system.

    No offer for expedited delivery though, and no change in EDD. Still in build stage. :(

    EDIT: And yes, pics and youtube video ASAP! :)
