    Yeah, but mine is still in production, monday is my EDD i'm sure finishing the product and boxing it in China and then shipping it to Ireland will take longer than 4 days including a weekend ?

    Same exact thing for me, except I ordered Feb 2nd and the EDD is March 5.

    I tried calling the number people have posted here to check, but when I put in my order # it says that order was delivered in 2006 or something, so I guess that's only for US orders.

    I called Dell Canada and they gave me the same speech it sounds like they gave you.

    Just curious, did you order on Feb 1 when it was that crazy price on Dell.ca (i.e. -$200 to change the colour and stuff like that)?

    My total for the SU7300, 4GB, and upgraded to the first 7200rpm drive was almost exactly $1200 with taxes and everything.

    @mrusse01 Yup. That's why I think the tag / asset number is different being "Retail" on it. I wonder if that would cause a parts delay since they might look at the part number and go "we don't have this".

    I'm going to wait it out anyways, try to keep my pricing. But it getting anxious when people are shipping :)

    My item number for the Cosmic Black is 224-8341 Cosmic Black, Direct.

    I hope you get it and everything, but you'd have to consider yourself real lucky if you do, you probably saved a few hundred bucks over what they were charging the next day...I assume they were going to cancel those orders. Then again, your shipping updates appear to be the exact same as mine, so I guess you're looking good so far!

    SU7300, 4GB RAM and 500 GB 7,200 probably being the difference between our orders. Tax in and stuff ends up to be around 1,150.

    Same config here....ordered a little later then you guys.
    My EDD is March 12 ( Ontario, Canada ). When I talked to the rep she said that I can expect it to show up much sooner then that and that there were no shortages on parts of any kind.

    I drilled them on the "Official Release Date", which was reported as March 1st for the first shipments and she said that she hadn't heard that and said that there was a chance it would be delivered end of Feb, or first week in March.

    I just used the 800-283-2210 number and tried to use the 3,2,1,1

    Sometimes it get to the order status that is more specific about what stage the order is in, and sometimes I just get general order status.

    Does anyone have an alternate number for checking on EPP order stage?

    Mine just shipped. Ordered the 3rd in the US. Did the CPU+4gb memory+bluetooth upgrade along with SSD. No nameplate.

    That number just tells me that my order has been processed - not even build stage! :( But when I just call the main number (1-800-Alienwa) it says it's at the build stage, and the website says "In Production".

    I need to stop worrying about this, I'm going to be driven mad.

    I just tried the 800-283-2210 to get the more detailed order status for EPP.

    Sometimes I get there but most of the time after hitting 3, I can never get to do the 2,1,1 options as was reported in the main m11x thread.

    Does someone have the right phone number for getting build status for EPP orders?

    When calling, no intro music means you press 4 instead of 3. Then 2, 1, 1, order #.

    It seems on the US store has the option for a custom name plate.

    FYI that number is not for Canada. I tried it, and the automated operator told me my order shipped in december 1999.

    Also, when i called the canadian number, they told me basically nothing.

    lol I tried it and it told me that they received my order on Dec 3rd and then it stalled.

    I don't think us canucks get to know what exact stage our orders are at.

    Now that I see units are shipping, I didn't feel bad for calling Dell and telling them I need my order ASAP. The bumped the EDD up a week (I should be getting it next Tuesday) and waived the Next Day Shipping that I had paid for. Whoo!

    Man, I've needed a new laptop since mine died mid-January. I'm really hoping I get it next week or sooner, but I guess I'll just have to wait until they ship. Not like they promised me something sooner, I just really could use it ASAP.

    I'm disappointed in my own customer service experience after reading all the posts about reps answering questions, helping out, and most of all expediting delivery.

    I ordered on 2/3 early in the small hours of the morning, and I'm still in build and still have a 3/5 EDD with the 2nd day air that I paid for. I called customer service to ask for some help since I learned I need to be out of town that week.

    After going through the background and politely asking for help expediting, customer service took 10 minutes to look up the status of my order and tell me what I already knew: I was "in production" and the EDD was 3/5. They didn't even get the more detailed status from the 1-800 number! And that's it. The rep pretended that's what I asked for and tried to sign off. I asked for a manager, and after another 20 minutes, had the manager read from some script about how Dell doesn't have have a policy on expediting. He offered to cancel my order though! Didn't even occur to him to move back my order, which I don't want, but at least can be said to solve the problem and keep the sale.

    So I wrote to Dell and told them what I asked for and how their customer service isn't how I remember it, and is nothing like the old Alienware (I have bought 1 other Alienware and 3 other Dells including an Adamo). They wrote back saying they they were sorry, but good news, I'm in production and my EDD is 3/5! I am not kidding.

    Not standard and Dell only uses Fedex

    The only way you will get Sat delivery is with Fedex Home (standard shipping) as there delivery schedule is Tues - Sat.

    The EDD is a mistake and will be updated once it actually ships.

    Dude that sucks! its crazy how uninformed the reps seem to be.. no consistancy at all. Have you tried calling the 1800# and getting a more detailed description of "in production"

    the only condolance I can offer is my EDD is 3/5/2010 as well though I know I'm in the boxing phase of "in production" I doubt my EDD will update untill I get a tracking number for the shipping...

    here's to hoping for an earlier date!

    yeah thats what I thought too... the only time you get saturday shipping with fedex is when you specifically order saturday drop-off... otherwise it will come monday

    I am the IT Ops Manager for my company, and we use all dell equipment in the office. So I called my personal business Rep to ask for help since my alienware rep wont return phone calls or emails. :mad:

    He looked up my order made morning of 2/2, (Lunar Silver, Su7300, 4GB, 250gb) and said no it definitely hasn't shipped, and online shows build status (Like it has since 2-4).

    Then he requested an expedite on the order. Said he would call me this afternoon or tomorrow and forward me whether or not the expedite was approved, and if not what the REAL status of my order is. :rolleyes:

    I told him it was really pissing me off that several folks in California were farther along in this process and ordered later than me with the same config. :eek:

    So hopefully by the end of the day I will have something closer to the real story of what the hell is going on with my system.

    Yes, the 1-800 says "build". So the nice computer lady has been the most helpful of the 3 reps and 1 computerized voice I have contacted.

    I have heard opinions that moving the call center to India killed customer service. I don't buy it. It's a Dell problem. They haven't trained those people well, they haven't set expectations, they don't make sure those people are effective. It seems like they just throw them a script and tell them to stay on it. To borrow from despair.com, it's customer disservice. They are not satisfied until you are not satisfied. :rolleyes:
