    I'm not even getting one (yet) and I am also looking forward to them shipping. Be sure to make at least 1 unboxing fellas, and plenty of pictures ;) Because no matter how all of them look exactly the same, you can never have too many pics.

    Looks like I'm not the only one to get mine in the shipping phase w/tracking number. I live in Canada, my EDD was March 12. This'll get me my laptop almost a month quicker than expected. Right now it's in the States. :) I ordered on Feb 5. I'm quite impressed.

    Edit: For what it's worth I got the C2D, 4GB RAM, and 250GB 7200RPM HDD as upgrades. Cosmic Black, Standard Nameplate, World of Warcraft edition.

    It's funny, I didn't call once or check my order status online very often. What's that saying, a watched pot never boils? I was kinda hoping my newly ordered wireless N access point would beat the laptop.

    Glad to see everyone shipping much earlier then we were originally quoted. I kind of assumed it would be earlier, but this makes me happy as I can rest a little easier knowing I probably wont have to wait until mid march

    Mine is 03/08/10. Ordered on the first damn day. It really pisses me off that it doesn't matter when you ordered it. Mine was a pretty basic config too. FIFO, thats my motto.
    Damn i'm feeling bitter today :p
    I'm off work with a back injury after falling 10 feet. This is the perfect week to receive my lappy, can't they understand that!!

    TO ANYONE WHO HAS SHIPPED, BOXING, ETC IN THE US.

    Could you please PM me your order number, my rep would like to see the order numbers of the M11X systems that are shipping so she can expedite mine. I ordered 2/2, got overnight shipping, was told it was expedited, and mine is not moving at all. The best case would be someone who got the SU7300, 4 gig ram, 250 gig, bluetooth, and custom name to send me their order number, so then they can't make an excuse and say my order has a difference and that is the cause of the delay. However, anyone willing to send me their order number would help.

    Plus, this will help the whole forum know why some orders are shipping and others not, my rep said she will find out what is causing these discrepancies if I get her some order numbers.

    I think the ones that are shipping are the ones without custom name plates. I am sure next week we should get the ones with a custom name plate.

    I wish the website had said "Custom name plate extends ship date by 1-2 weeks".. I would have left it blank. :p

    The ones that are shipping dont have custom nameplates. That does not mean ALL of the units without custom nameplates are shipping.

    I am hoping if someone PMs their shipping/boxing US order number can get this figured out. My rep seemed confident she could figure out why some seem to be going early, and then we would at least know the method in the madness, or what we need to do to get ours shipped sooner.

    Can the guys in europe that have theirs shipped tell me how long the production phase was? Mine is in production, and I wonder how long I can expect it to take until it ships.

    The sad thing about this is - every time one of us gets their order expedited - another of us gets bumped to make way for the newly expedited order.

    I assume there is a production schedule and my rep told me multiple times that order are dealt with in the order received unless they are expedited and the expedite request is approved at which point the order queue is changed.

    I have given up trying to get an answer out of Dell - the reps are very unhelpful and although I ordered the same config as almost everyone else has and I ordered very early on 2/2 - I get so many mixed messages it is driving me nuts.

    The phone system tells me is it in "processing", the website tells me it is "in production", one rep tells me it is in the "build stage" another tells me it is waiting for parts...etc

    At this point I have been told everything from parts shortages (processor, keyboard and power cable) to various tales of build and lead times.....not one consistent and straight answer.

    I think at this point it is better to just wait and see as checking status and making the calls to Dell has become so unproductive and such a waste of time.

    I am looking forward to seeing unboxing videos and pictures - Congrats to all those who get their machines early.....

    It took me a while, she is still foreign, kind of an Australian accent sometimes, but seems much better than the average dell rep.

    Anyway, if I can get an order number hopefully she can bring clarity to madness.

    If I recall rightly it sits in production for about 7 days. Mine has been in production since the 15th (and was ordered on the 3rd)

    Also, I did not request any expedited shipping/upgrade. Just got next day when i ordered. So, I doubt expediting has anything to do with it.

    I got the very basic warranty, and as per my edited first post, just let Dell do their own thing w/o bugging them to expedite, etc.

    Mine has been in production since the 5th IIRC. Definitely more than 7 days, and still in "build" stage, no sign of boxing or shipping.

    I don't really see a problem with this. If this is accurate, it's not like overclocking voids the warranty, damage caused by it just isn't covered.

    E.g. if your LCD fails and the system was overclocked, they wont deny you warranty coverage because it was overclocked. Seems fair to me.

    I don't think 7 days has been normal at all. I ordered early on the 3rd and was in production by the 5th at the latest. Still an EDD of 3/5 though. Sounds like you got delayed a little in processing? I checked with my CC company right away to make sure they weren't questioning the charges.

    How does 12 month no interest on the DPA account work? In addition to buying the Alienware, I also bought 2 bluetooth mouse. When I make payments to my DPA account, how will I know that the payment is towards the mouse and not the laptop? The reason why I ask is because some CC companies do this. They take the payment and make it count towards the most costly item.

    I agree. Another guy in a german forum mentioned it took about 6-7 days for him (couldn't tell me exactly how long).
    I wonder if that includes saturday and sunday or not.

    I doubt they would. I think they only say it's not covered so that people who don't know what they're doing are too afraid to try it. :)

    I had funds taken from my checking account (more like a hold) and then the hold disappeared. So yeah I got like $1000 extra in my acct I would love to use haha

    Yea the hold they had on my funds vanished also. Just checking that this is normal. Would be awful to wait for weeks in production to find out your payment went wrong at the start.

    My Canadian order has been marked as shipped... although no tracking number added yet... maybe you don't get one... With the mouse that shipped earlier I got a Purolator tracking #.

    I just recieved the TackX headset today which was part of my M11X order that I placed on the 5th of Feb. and I just checked the status of the M11X and it has been shipped !

    My EDD was 12th of March, so it looks as though their ahead of the posted EDD.

    I'm in Canada and I got a Purolator tracking number, says in transit U.S./ Depot USA Ground Linehaul.

    Oh man, I'm so stoked !!! just a few more days now !!! : )

    I'm on the west coast so it may take mine extra time if they sort em in Toronto which is what I read somewhere but I also read somewhere that it maybe Calgary but I'm hoping it's Vancouver.

    Don't really matter much though cause it's on its way !
