*OFFICIAL* M11x Order Status Discussion Thread

I'm in the west as well and I received my mouse that was placed in the same order (on the 5th) as the laptop on the 11th. I'm hoping that means the M11X will be shipped by Friday or so.

 

Same here, ordered mine 2/4 in the early morning. Phone says its in the build stage, website says in production. Hoping to get it before vacation on Mar 1!

 

Grats to all you guys that are getting yours early. Ordered mine on 2/3 around 12pm and I'm still in the build stage. Pretty bummed about it, but anxiously waiting to see any new info from you guys.

 

Well that sounds optimistic! I have the same EDD so hoepfully my status changes soon!
EDIT: My config is the same except for the WoW.

 

My rep told me that my order is delayed because of back ordered parts. EDD 3/3 still.

 

I'm beginning to think the reps don't know what they're talking about or really aren't checking into the statuses correctly..

I called earlier today - asked about shortages/back-ordered parts, etc. "no problems / no delays - on track for your EDD and actually you should receive it ahead of schedule".

 

if yours is back ordered then all of us who hasn't shipped yet is back ordered as well most likely yeah? do you know whats back ordered?

 

He didnt specify of course. He may have been talking out of his . He said he would notify me of any changes.

 

A lot of people have been getting the response that the power supply seems to be back ordered, but its far from confirmed.

 

I suspect that if by the end of next week and you are still eta in 3/? or in production/build But ordered early then there's definitely something going on.

 

lol how about they ship me my unit w/o power supply now(and ill use my other dell laptop charger) and ship the power supply to me when it is available.

 

I'm game for this as I have another Dell PSU that will fit the end.. 65watt not sure what the M11x is rated at =D but wishful thinking I know

 

I'm still in the build stage with 3/5 EDD. I ordered on the morning of 2/3, too!

Is there any way I can bump it up?

 

What is the best number(or the only number to call) for Dell.ca?
I saw the number for US, and the steps. Is there a similar one for Dell Canada?

 

I taked to rep earlier and they said I should be recieving it ether Friday or Saturday. Also asked what the South Africa Bluetooth was, its because the Uk are in limited stock but it will work in the Uk without problems she said... we're see

So this is the Alienware reps response to my request for information on my order. Still waiting on my Dell business Rep's response..:

The status of the order is still “in production.” The estimated shipping date that you were provided when the order was placed was 03/03/2010, and as of right now, we have no reason to believe that we will be unable to deliver on that date. While other systems may have already shipped out, the specific system that you chose may have had different components than the others, thus resulting in a longer lead time.

Do you have an order number for any of the systems that have shipped out before yours? If so I can try and see what the differences are, and why yours may be taking longer.

As of right now, however, there is nothing at all wrong with this order---it is still on track to be shipped out on or before 3/3/10 as originally quoted.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

Everyone call at the same time and explode dell's Phone systems!

 

Great idea mikel, but you would have to coordinate it with everyone ordering from the usa (3 timezones) and the UK and SA (another timezone) Then let the Australasia zone (3 timezones at least) fire a second salvo when Dell finally runs from the US assault. Don't think Darky would be all to happy with us plotting to bring down dell...

Just checked again. My M11x is in transit and currently in NJ and will be here tomorrow for sure. Its going to be a long work day.

Seriously ! even though I don't game much, just usual, once in a blue moon... but damn.. this little sucker is tempting...

The thickness of M11x is a lot more than I am used to (Sony SZ, Z, MBP)... but I dunno I might end up ordering one lolx..

BTW, there happens to be a queue, right? First Come First Serve basis type? Suppose If I order now, my Ship date wont be in first week of March... ?

If you order now, your EDD won't be until the middle of March. But Dell will usually ship them earlier than the estimate, as evident by the many recent posts.

 

You never know ahsan, you might get yours the day after you order it lol.

Well i got something out of it anyways LOL Called Dell to see what's up and they refund me 16.00 for the next day shipping and said they expedite my order. So if nothing else at least it saved me 16.00 LOL

called Dell EPP to ask about expediting and they said I would need to cancel my order and reorder... so no luck there.

 

Has anyone had a computer ship that used EPP or stacked coupons?

I know I am being the devils advocate but what if dell is shipping to the people that paid full price first, then to people that stacked coupons.

 

Nice! Just checked my status online and my EDD went from 3/8 to 2/23. I can't wait!

 

Well this morning I waited patiently for my m11x as the EDD was today (18/2/10), called up to double check that it was definitely set for today and I key in my order number... "Your order is currently being built. Estimated delivery date 15th of March 2010." I then check the status on the internet and yep it has been REVERSED all the way to the 'Work In Progress' stage with no EDD on the site.

So yeah, that sucks. Hopefully it is just me and everybody else gets who has today as their EDD actually gets theirs today.

It must be a typo, since those who ordered on 2/2 haven't gotten theirs yet.

 

I just removed 39 posts as a result of secr33t's post. While I understand the excitement, its not necessary to spam the thread with comments speculating on if his delivery is true or not, fast food suggestions, distances across town, etc.

lol, it would be nice if Dell would send me my tracking number since my computer's status is "shipped".
