i was told that, sorry to tell you its shipping from china. been waiting 3 days now in uk, should arrive tomorrow dell say. my tracking number still doesnt work either.....

 

i know you guys like this info so you can try so you can narrow down your edd. i ordered 4th feb. spec was upgraded cpu, 4gb ram and 500hdd. my edd was 1st march and according to dells site it has been shipped. although no money gone from my account.

I think everybody can expect there m11x just over a week early.

Also im in the UK.

So nobody has got theirs yet? I hope it wasn't an error for everyone that has an EDD on the 18th.

Would anyone have any idea why all of a sudden on the day when my laptop was supposed to be delivered it was delayed a month and put back into build? Could they have shipped it without the changes I asked for and only just realised? I don't mind too much, but it would've been nice to be using my m11x right now!

 

Nope mate. Nobody. Yours was probably a typo since those who ordered when the day the thing was first released haven't even gotten theirs yet. Happens every once in a while.

EDIT: I ordered at the same time as you, and am in the same region as you. No reason you should get yours a full 2 weeks before me right?

 

Suppose its funny now i been giving out about how they wouldn't tell me why my laptop had not been made (shortages etc). Then they put it into production on monday and shipped it last night, but i dont think they could get it to me by the EDD on monday, could they ? That would be crazy China and Ireland are different sides of the Universe.

 

My rep just said "Battery Shortage" Rofl. Was running a two pronged attack. Was interrogating my sales rep while Dad was handling a customer care rep

 

@Nuke I was onto a customer care, asked about the date changing due to the laptop not being in production he said "you will receive it on or before Monday 22nd". I said is there shortages or why is it not being produced, then "The information is that you will receive the order on or before Monday 22nd". Like this guy was not having any of it, no matter what i said i knew the answer before i said it.

 

@nuke, yea I don't know, I'm thinking he's on vacation and his co-workers didn't want him messing with the forum and to enjoy his time off. Who knows, purely a guess. Some how I doubt a mod is going to get banned for legit reasons.

 

Just checked my CC Balance, and theres no temp authorizations like there was a week or so ago, and it doesn't appear on my balance, and my rep hasn't emailed me, so I'm going to assume all is well. He never did email me back on the issue of them charging $50 less over all. I think they credited me twice for a gift card (according to the last temp authorization). I asked about it, never got an answer, so we'll see what happens. But as of now I'm still in production.

Gotta love the automated system . . I just called - it tells me my order was shipped on February 20th and will be delivered on or before February 23rd . .

I feel for you Nuke not fair such an active member in this thread should get it so late. Thems the breaks. Anyway I'm not huge on time, have exams all next week but i will do a live unboxing on ustream when i receive it so that people can ask for certain angles or to see something or whatever. Hope this will help your wait.

 

Actually, I need to get the damned thing before I leave for uni in new zealand. But heck I guess I can live with Uni PCs for a while. LOL.

 

I suppose i m lucky is that sense i have no "need" as such for this laptop, its just for playing games and a bit of media stuff, Macbook has everything else covered.

Becoming wary of Dell again received an update which said "order has left our manufacturing dept and in next 2 – 3 working days will be handed to the carrier company. Once interlink receive the order, it shall be delivered in 1-2 working days." Does anybody want to interpret whether carrier company means it hits Interlink (now DPD) in Ireland or, does it mean it will leave the factory in 2-3 working days. IE the carrier is actually in China?

Me 2 i emailed them bout a week ago asking and they responded today after it has been shipped i m just wondering if it will make it here by next friday ?

 

Lol yer well my ETA was next friday so im crossing fingers for then hehe thats the 26th. If it does come from China then the weekend things still keep moving over saturday and sunday in transit so hopefully Monday it might be in the UK

Worst thing is a good mate hers went into production 5 days before mine and is STILL in there and not shipped :S mine was in production for only 2 days.

 

I'm hoping mine gets here by next week too. XP But reality stinks.

Oddly there are very few reviews from the media on the m11X.
The only "meaty" reviews are the IGN one and the HH one.
Looks like they haven't gotten their machines yet either??

 

Hey everyone.

I placed my order on 2/3. I got the EPP and coupon discounts, with a custom nameplate. 7 day delivery and original EDD of 3/8. I checked this morning and my new EDD is 2/23 with 7 day delivery.

This is why I think a lot of the expectations of early deliveries may be let down. Alienware and Dell have not done their usual leak of systems for media reviews. All the more odd considering the general view that they have a winner with the M11x.

I think most parts are still not in place for a mass production run of the orders and the lack of a common items like power cords is an example of this. Some systems will leak out as they always do, but not the bulk of orders. End of the month we should start seeing some heavy order transitions. Not long from now

I'm in Florida too with same order date, please update meee I called this morning and still in that stupid sounding build stage.

 

Mine changed to Boxing stage from Build just yesterday. Funny thing is is is stilll showing I will get it on March 5th. I have overnight shipping. Thats a LONG time to box and ship...LOL...the wait...ughhhh

 

Have hope... mine updated in the middle of the night. Either their system takes time to update or they are literally working round the clock to fill these orders (which I suspect is the case)

Dell is effed. I ordered the identical configuration to the above, on the SAME DAY, also in the U.S., no nameplate, and my system is still in the "build" stage, let alone boxing, let alone shipped.

Ordered 2/3. EDD *STILL* 3/5.

So no one has one yet? Man that sucks I was hoping to see some unboxing video or some more pics/details by now. I ordered on 2/5 from Germany the ship date is still set to 2/25 so maybe next week?

My EDD changed from 3/10 yesterday to 2/24 this morning. w/ Custom name plate. FYI.

 

That's about the size of it. We're expecting an official review/loan M11x (high-end config) from Alienware sometime in the next 2-3 weeks and I also ordered an entry-level config on my own to see if the $799 config delivers the goods in terms of real-life gaming performance (EDD 3/8).

In any case, our in-depth coverage of the M11x will show up on the homepage soon after we get at least one of those two systems in the lab for testing.

 

This fits with an early March mass shipment. They baited early adopters with two early units/reviews and now the masses when NBR and other sites get theirs. MUCH easier to control the quality of a few units, get them right and then ship others, once units are mass production clear for release.

Some people got theirs shipped yesterday right? Any chance they would receive it today? Assuming any of them had Next-day delivery! Oh man... works going to be long today just waiting for a review if someone does get it! Hope it's a black one... haven't really seen good pictures of a black one yet.

 

Like I said, I find it hard to believe that they would release some units here and there before any media outlets have had a chance to put it through it's paces.... I don't expect mine before March 1st( I have been 'In Production" for quite some time now).
That doesn't mean that no one will get theirs before then hahahah I am hoping just as much as the next guy that we will see some vids and benchmarks up soon.

 

Just Called Dellindia to inquire about my order and got no where. Standard canned responses about my 2/3 order. I even started to badger them about why folks who called for updates got free next business day shipping upgrades when I had to fork over $16 for it and the rep insisted this was not happening.
Got some more scripted responses. I asked them again the same questions...same scripted responses.
How many times should I call? Any chance of getting a call center in USA?

Update: 3rd call got my next day Business shipping charge refunded. But no change on status or EDD of 3/4. oh well I'll take $16 less for my M11x

 

Update - Mine still says EDD 2/24, but in our internal order tool it is status SC, which is shipping complete.. so we have boxed it up for shipping but the courier hasnt picked it up yet.

Im happy to check your status. Just PM your order number to me. Edit - I should note I may not have any more information than they did.

 

I don't think it's that hard to believe since we have already seen a few people with tracking numbers. I expect to see an unboxing video tonight. Mine is in the boxing stage which should only take 3-4 days so I expect it to be shipped early next week.

 

Finally, after checking a billion times a day my delivery date just changed from 3/10 to 2/23. Can't wait to try it out. Tuesday can't get here fast enough.

My order has been stuck on in production and I ordered on 02/03 w/ EDD of 03/04

 

Well mine still says in production even though they moved up the delivery date...who knows.
