Lol mine says shipped but they dont offer tracking to Ireland so i dont have a clue where it is or when it will be delivered. The Edd just says shipped, ohh next weeks will be soooo long , I can sense it.

How does the display run on the other dell sites in terms of order steps?

We get 7 steps it can show: Order Received, In Production, Preparing for International Shipping, In International Shipping, Arrival in Country Procedures/Work, Out for Delivery, Delivered (Roughly translated)

It says on our page that they use surface mail and that international postage prep time takes around a week. Which sounds like the boxing phase equivalent - though that is allegedly included under our 'Production' phase.

@matutu i'm being shipped with INT which i'm thinking is actually interlink aka DPD. And it says on my status that "If your order will be delivered by INT no tracking information will be available." Oh and are you in the UK yeah ? And is anybody sure that these are all shipping from China ?

I was a day away from buying an ASUS 1201N when these were announced, and did a lot of research leading up to this. Alienware bit me with the GDDR3/GDDR5 mixup on my M17x and shipping delays , so I was quite hesitant... I'm hoping the M11x renews my faith in the brand.

 

Mine is on the truck and will be delivered today. Bad news is I am out of town until tomorrow. Maybe I can convince my wife to take a pic, but we have a running thing about boxes shipped to the house, and she is not into unboxing my "computer stuff"!

Hopefully, someone else will also get one today!

well i still get a 3/17 edd for order 2/11

at least i finally bought a ps3 and its coming today so ill just be playing with that and helping me keep my mind on off the m11x

 

Bah. USA is getting screwed. Although it may be some good news. I called to get the real update and he reiterated what was online. The EDD (he said that is the date I should expect the package) is March 8, Ship date is March 3. He said that it is very likely to be built well before that date, however.

Also, I asked if I could change from standard shipping to overnight and he said he's locked out from that, but he said that probably means my system is either ready to be built or is already built. He is going to get a response from manufacturing back to me on Monday (2/22/10), as well as approval to change shipping.

Sounds like they're actually cranking these suckers out though.

 

If for some odd reason noone else has one by the time I get home tomorrow (around 9pm), then I will post up pics of everything. I highly doubt I would be the only one on this thread with one though. My guess is someone else will have one today.

i only googled them because when i click on the tracking button i get a " order number does not match customer number"

should i start worrying ?

It only turned to shipping this morning.

 

mine was delivered this morning by 10:30 am by fedex. cannot wait to get home from work...

 

I wish people would mention what country they live in when saying it arrived.

 

Did you have someone to sign or did you set it up to not have to sign or what?

I am hoping I can leave a note with signature on my door and get them to leave it.

Man, I ordered Feb 3, and still waiting...

 

Im not that worried because A) I will be home probably within 30 minutes of the time the delivery guys normally go through my neighborhood. B). I have had hundreds of other packages from laptops and games to computer parts from Newegg all left at the front of my door and never had a problem.

Though I live in a corner lot and from the front door to the street is probably like 200+ feet, so someone has to be really brave to traipse into my yard up to my porch and steal something, especially while my dog is barking and there is always a car there even when im gone.

However, I want to know if it will work. I know if they leave you an note saying they tried you can sign that and have them leave it, I just want to bypass that and get it left the first time.

 

Aggravating.. still waiting. Did the Canadians have any updates other than some shipped?

 

Are you near Iver Heath or Beaconsfield? You can drop an M11x off to my relatives

 

Dell says my order shipped and should arrive on Saturday. Fedex says they have no idea where the package is and they have no record of picking it up from Dell. Where is it!?!?

 

Seeing people's order ship who ordered the same day or day after makes me really wish I hadn't customized my nameplate. Haha.

 

All retailers do this... Dell will say its shipped because they have told Fedex about the shipment, and that it needs to be picked up. Once it is picked up and scanned by Fedex, then it will show up in their system. Otherwise, it is still sitting on Dell's docks.

Hey guys, I was wondering if you could give me some advice. I live in NY and ordered on the 4th of feb. It currently says that the EDD is the 5th.

I just called, waited 15 minutes, got on the phone with a fellow named brian, he asked my order number, took my name and asked me what I wanted to know, as soon as I started speaking, he hung up .

I call back, wait 20 minutes and guess who picks up! Brian, who tells me that was the first time I called. And he says they do not expedite any orders and my friend who ordered the same laptop of the same configuration who lives across the street from me is receiving his a week earlier because he has a different colored case..

 

oh no !! for people who it has shipped to in the UK ---

just clicked on my "packing slip" and under the field "SHIPPING TO" it is left completely blank !! i also have no "customer purchase order no."

this happen to anybody else ?

You asked for some advice, but then just told us your story, but no real question. So what do you want to know?

 

My rep got back to me and explained why orders are shipping seemingly out of order. Basically, when orders came in they were assigned a production line. So order 1 went to line 1, order 2 to line 2, etc until they went all the way around and then order 6 or something was the second order for line 1. The idea was once production started all lines would roll at the same speed. However, production started and some lines had delays, equipment failures, and other mishaps. So now some lines are ahead of others, which means that some orders from 2/2 or 2/3 on the slower lines just now getting going while an order from 2/4 or 2/5 might already be boxing or shipping from the faster production lines.

She said as far as she could tell none of the config options should cause a delay, it is just the price of early production problems that orders are shipping out of date sequence.

 

That may be ok.

In my tracking from UPS (at least the privous shipments from DELL to me on other laptop, my M11x is still in production) the detailed shipping address does not show up either for security reasons (it only shows the city).
At least in the case of UPS you would need to register and verify your detailed information to get access to such data.

This may be the same with your shipping company.
Since this is just an assuption you may want to make sure all is ok and call your shipping company.

 

I was asking if theres anything I can do about him hanging up like that. Maybe call and ask for the manager then tell them what happened, and maybe they can waive the next day shipping that i paid for.

Have they taken the money out of your account ? becuase they havn't mine.

Does anyboy else who has ordered from the UK and has a status of shipped have the "ship to" area left blank on there packing slip ??

Are you sure he hung up on purpose and it was not an accident or a technical problem (the latter happened to me once)?
Those guys - however unhelpful they may be - are at least trained to be polite (not that they always keep that up).

 

I just called my rep and checked on my order, she told me the laptop is just starting assembly . I ordered on the 3rd and my EDD is March 9th, I thought this would be a first come first serve deal, but I guess not. People in here that ordered the same date with similar specs are in boxing and some shipped, very bummed haha

 

I dont know, I gave him the benefit of the doubt when I called back but then he lied and said thats the first time im talking to him and that his record shows I never called before.

And trust me, he was being a to me. I wanted to tell him that he was being rude but I was mad at wasting almost a hour to find out what I already knew.
