Thanks Burnout sure that will help a few guys, i m here in Ireland and i didnt even get tracking (so stupid) so i'm trying to estimate how long it will take.

 

That's strange Brian.

The tracking details are just made up from your customer number and order number, with the tweaks I mentioned. At least in my case it seems to be how it's done. That combo not working for you?

 

It says mine has shipped via INT which i assume is Interlink ? now known as DPD, i'll try use the walsh site and see what happens.


@burnoutuk Nope no luck i'm definitely with Interlink who are now DPD but its ridiculous that they are still called Interlink as well as DPD track all of there items. Maybe i Should give Dell a ring.

Oh man one awesome thing has happened since that huge muck up, my laptop is built and the EDD has changed from 15/3/2010 to the 1/3/2010. Thats a nice 2 week jump, let's hope it is even earlier considering it's about to ship!

 

This is exactly what my tracking info is coming up with! I'm guessing next Tuesday there will be a knock at my door! 4 days with a weekend inbetween what do you reckon?

 

Yer well i think the weekend it will still be transported as its international flights and that all still continue going 7days a week . Well im hoping haha

Mine says same thing I ordered 2/3 as well and now EDD 2/23/2010.

I was in comfort knowing a couple of familiar names here were stuck in build stage with same order date of 2/3. Now I'm angry hahah sorry htwingnut, but glad you'll be getting yours soon. Mine should update any day nowwwwww

 

Me too. Same order date. Maybe the 256 SSD is the problem?

I have been following the thread for some time. Mine was ordered on 2/4 with and EDD of 3/5 with overnight shipping. I cant wait. It is killing me. So I mentioned to my wife about a forum member's (BigTymer's) wife taking the first pics of his laptop while he is away. She could not believe me. She said "its only a damn computer why would she do that?!!!". Well
I defended your wife BigTymer and said that your wife was a real keeper and that if my wife kept up with this attitude that her spot on the bed would be for my M11x not her. Geeze a damn computer? How could she say such mean things.*Sniffle*

 

All I can say is CALL. Talk to a rep, tell them (a) that you are confused by the ship date, online says one thing, phone says another and (b) there are several friends that ordered after you that have already shipped or got theirs.

Either my status was just updated to what it should have been, or it was pushed ahead slightly. I did get updated to free next day shipping though.

 

Baaah!

Awesome just had a phone call from my Dell rep, who is apparently going to expedite my order and shout me back with the good word - i realise this hasn't put an m11x in my hand yet, but w/e its all good

 

the problem with that is the m11x doesnt provide the same imput ports

 

robamb2002 - haha, yeah you are right, but the m11x have better output and is not asking stupid questions.

 

This permanent build status is getting old- almost to a joke level. No way it takes this long to get power cords. Curious what excuse others are hearing. I am still being told power cords are the issue.

yeah... just follow the instructions in the m11x manual for HDD replacement Ill be replacing mine with a SSD the day it arrives

Mine is now being shipped to Aus, very quick movement. I'm guessing they realised their big bad blunder and are sending this baby my way before I Godzilla their factory.

She really is a sweetheart, but doesn't get my technology obsession. She does cook, clean, and drives me when I go out drinking with buddies. Her I/O ports are in quite good condition as well. Funny enough she is actually happy I am getting the M11x because she thinks she is getting my Macbook... She just doesn't get how impatient we are and how excited we get to see a couple of unboxing pics. Now if only my M11x would ship or move out of the damn boxing stage...

That might be true - I ordered just a regular 250GB HD - will be "upgrading" with a 120GB SSD (also on order via newegg).

Couldn't agree more. Funny I just called Dell and my order is being shipped from Malaysia not China. When I go to the order status on Dell's website it says in production. When I call the EPP # it says it is in boxing stage. So I guess no matter how hard I try it is stuck in a plane somewhere. I still have an EDD of 3/5. Man where is an un-boxing video when you need one... I am starting to shake....Sooo cold.

Call lock out means you will be receiving a call soon to book your delivery slot.

I had a call for my studio 1749 a couple of hours ago. Sent on the 17th and being delivered next Tuesday.

 

WOHOO just had the call DELL to be delivering on Tuesday between 8-1Pm YES only 4 days left haha.

Anyone know why my order switches between "In Production" and "Shipped"? I called yesterday morning at work and it said my notebook shipped. However the date of shipment is October 26th, 2002?!?! I call again during the night time and my order is "In Production"!! I justtttt got off the phone today and now my order is "Shipped" again with the same date! WTH is going on?
